idk maybe the reason some people find genderfuckery so cringy/abhorrent in "tme"s or "theyfab"s or whatever term they're using today to reference transmascs is because it makes it harder to sniff out who is and who isnt a "cuntboy". heaven forbid they accidentally appreciate something a "zippertit"s wrote or painted, could you imagine how embarrassing it would be if they were found to be agreeing with a "transtrender"? the "tucutes" are not divulging their statuses as lesser transes, "tra"s dont experience real oppression like they do, there is something divine in their femininity that the "tif"s dont understand, etc, etc, etc.

It actually really bothers me how most people are way more willing to listen to TERFs who claim to be detransitioned trans men who initially transitioned for all the TERF talking point reasons (wanting to escape misogyny, just not loving their bodies enough, hating women/femininity, peer pressure, manipulation by doctors etc) than to actual trans men.
It reminds me of the satanic panic when you had all these people claiming to be former members of satanic cults who went around giving interviews about how they used to kill babies in evil satanic orgy rituals but then they saw the error in their ways, started going to church & now they're on a heroic mission to save other people from going down that road that definitely exists. Meanwhile the actual satanists at the time were doing none of that. But of course nobody ever talked to them. Because the truth wasn't as dramatic.
It's the worst when other trans people do it & spread transphobic conspiracy theories about transmisogynistic trans men siding with radfems, being seduced by their ideology enough to detransition & then become TERFs.
Oh where did you hear about that being a thing that happens enough to be a common trend? From TERFs who claim they used to be trans men but then detransitioned after learning that radfeminism is the truth & the light? Of course, they sure have no reason to be lying about that. Especially when they are random anonymous people online. I can totally see why you'd choose to believe what fucking TERFs tell you about the experiences of your fellow trans people, sure, why the fuck not?

The answer is, none! The whole idea of a 'women's space' is fucked and anti-feministic.

The message of the post is wonderful, I personally think we should uplift men more, but at the same time it makes me think about how we as a society treat men's rights.
Men's rights are seen as the antithesis to "modern" feminism (we'll get to that later.) Rather than an accompanying movement. Why is it that people believe uplifting one group must come at the cost of putting someone else down? There are not a finite amount of rights to be given, everyone can and should be treated with the respect that they deserve.
You most often see men's rights posts associated with MGTOW or some other sexist, anti-feminist ideology, and because of that, people tend to dismiss any and all men's rights content without thinking. That drives men to feel that their only option for support and validation is accounts that are also constantly putting down women and "modern" feminists.
But the idea of "modern" feminism is laughable at best. MGTOWS will paint this picture of a lazy, ugly, angry woman who is demanding special treatment simply because she has a vagina. Are there people like that who call themselves feminists? Absolutely, but anyone that takes more than a surface dive into the movement with an open mind will see just how far women's rights still have to go.
But blogs like this will still use that picture of the horrible "misandrist modern feminist" to pit people against each other when really what we should be doing is coming together. Historically, feminists have not shied away from issues that also affect men, but you'll also find that many feminists will even focus on issues specific to men.
Men deserve more positivity posts and safe spaces that don't come from blogs that spout misogynistic viewpoints. Men deserve to be uplifted, because so often, we all forget that when it comes to emotional development, they get left by the wayside. Men deserve to be told that they're valuable and good people, because so often this website vilifies them.
But the only way to do that successfully is to remove the stigma around men's rights accounts that they're all MGTOW anti-feminists and the only way to do that, is to make better blogs about men's rights that don't divide us.
Men's rights should work in tandem with women's rights, not against them. Everyone deserves to be respected, and the first step is to respect each other.
i want people to get it into their heads that you can still be transphobic if you're a trans person. literally the most vile transphobia i've ever been faced with has been at the hands of other trans people. i have had trans women in my life tell me that i'm not a man because i don't have a penis. being trans does not absolve you from all potential transphobic beliefs you held before you realized you were trans. we all have to unlearn transphobia. you can get off your high horse and acknowledge that you have the capability to be transphobic towards other trans people.

Idk but the idea that trans men commonly enter terf spaces on purpose & then get detransed & indoctrinated into terfism seems way less believable to me than that spaces for cis people will inevitably have some ppl realize they're trans & if the space in question is a radical feminist one, they will be targeted with some absolutely devastatingly horrific abuse that will keep them in the closet & cause them serious harm, & radical feminism like any hateful ideology is very attractive to wounded, traumatized people.

I've said this before but like I hate that I have literally gone from not thinking hard about transfem positivity posts to even being a little unsure about liking or reblogging them cause I'm like. Yes I agree. But do you extend the same kindnesses to other trans people? Do you think transfems are unique in deserving and needing kindness and care? It's harder to assume good faith of having a transfem only post, especially about things that affect all trans people, when I know and have seen so many people actively and purposefully leave out certain trans people (and this current wave of loud transmasc hate is just one in a long line of intra community bullshit. I have been here before with other identities) I'll never stop agreeing with positivity posts or supporting my sister's and siblings but if nothing else this discourse has left me on edge about people using transfem positivity as a bludgeon
I understand. It's important to acknowledge that you're starting to feel that way so you can work on unlearning it. <3 It is, of course, not a healthy mindset, for yourself or anyone else, but it's not your fault you've been kicked into this kinna fear.
The key thing is to keep surrounding yourself with as many cool transfems as you can. There are many, many more of them than the ones hostile to you, I promise! It can just seem skewed sometimes on social media. The more you focus on the real majority the less tense the association will be and it won't feel like everything for transfems might be against anyone else.
Also help raise money to fight for trans people, and get some rad games in the process!
