πβ¨ A Christmas Appeal from Gaza β¨π
For many, Christmas is a time of magic, love, and hope. But here in Gaza, where my family and I live, itβs a reminder of all weβve lost.
This December, as the world celebrates with π decorations and gifts, my brother Ahmad and I dream of something simplerβa chance to live, learn, and heal.
While others gather around π½οΈ festive tables, my family struggles to find even basic food. While stockings are hung with care π§¦, our shoes are worn from fleeing destruction. And while carols fill the air πΆ, silence hangs heavy in our hearts, broken only by the memories of what weβve lost.
But we havenβt given up hope. π Hope is all we have. Ahmad and I have started a campaign to escape to Egypt, continue our education, and rebuild our lives. We need your help to make that dream possible.
This Christmas, I invite you to remember families like mine, who are not asking for gifts π, but for a chanceβa chance to learn, thrive, and survive.

π€ Share our story: Every share helps us reach someone who might lend a hand.
Letβs remind the world that true joy comes not from what we receive, but from what we give. β€οΈ Together, we can light a candle of hope π―οΈ in a place that has known only darkness.

My name is Osama Basil, a web developer from Gaza. Over the past 10 months, Iβve witnessed the devastation of war firsthand. My office, where I devoted myself to my work, was destroyed, along with my source of income and future aspirations. The situation in Gaza grows more difficult each day, with destruction becoming a constant part of our reality. We've lost friends, colleagues, and loved ones, leaving our community deeply scarred. But I refuse to surrender. Despite the displacement and loss, I am committed to rebuilding my career and life. The war took my job, dreams of marriage, and a chance to pursue a masterβs degree in programming and web design. After fleeing to Rafah with my family, Iβve been living in a tent for months, grappling with unstable access to electricity

whatβs your opinion on nihilism
Baby's first atheistic philosophy. Built for edgy teens who had their first introspective thought a week ago. The problem is, people use the term nihilism to justify being lazy with their own beliefs - that's why u get a lotta dummies claiming they're nihilist, despite doing zero research on what it actually means to practice that philosophy (which is a lot more neutral on things than pessimistic)
Just because you gave up believing in a religion doesn't mean that you should simply stop growing either. The "I don't believe in God"-part of your worldview is the least interesting part, and it's not the finish line, that's the fucking start. Now you gotta figure out WHY things matter -- despite God, despite 'floating on a rock in the middle of nothingness' -- that's when you've put in enough effort to reflect on yourself, and not a moment before.
I think there are far more constructive philosophies out there that explore how life really operates besides nihilism. Just because we're 'floating on a speck' doesn't means shit, it's not like you nor I in our day-to-day lives can even recognize that we're floating on a speck, so it naturally doesn't matter to our daily lives, our cultures, our ethics, or anything, really.
why do we even have legal genders anyway. maybe we should not have those

if you have donated in the past, please request a refund from gofundme and redirect it to this paypal until we have a replacement campaign. thank you so much.
his prior campaign:
my coworkers generally donβt care about current events unless itβs true crime so sometimes i kind of force feed them important information to shift their worldview. there was a beat of silence while i was counting the registers earlier and i turned to my two coworkers and said βdid you know the US intentionally killed over 100,000 civilians in afghanistan and repeatedly bombed red cross and UN structures despite being told exactly where they wereβ and they looked at me like this which is how i know it got thru
"Trapped Dreams"
https://gofund.me/409f63bb
In a small corner of Gaza, where the lights fade and darkness falls, Mahmoud sat alone, thinking. He was a young man like any other, dreaming of a better future, a safe home, and a job that would provide him and his family with a decent life. But the dream turned into a nightmare, and life into a daily struggle for survival.
Mahmoud's family, which includes 43 members, lived under the burden of siege and war. They lost their homes, and watched their dreams fade before their eyes. Every day was a new challenge, searching for a living amidst the lack of water and electricity, and the fear of bombing that could come at any moment.
"I saw hope in the eyes of my children, but the siege was taking it away from them little by little," Mahmoud says sadly. "They wanted to play in the streets, and go to school, but all that surrounded them was destruction and fear."
Mahmoud's dream now is simple, to get his family out of this hell, and to start a new life in a safe place. But the costs of migration are high, and far beyond their means.
Noha is a story of courage and determination. She reminds us that disability is not a barrier, and that anything is possible if you are determined enough.
βWe need your help,β Mahmoud says, his voice trembling. βWe need a chance to build a better future for our children.β
