Nice!
"Reiksguard Knights, your Emperor is calling! Death or glory await us, but if we die, we will die as warriors, with swords in hand, and there can be no better death than that."
Some Reiksguard models I painted up for my buddy Alex.
I love when Grimgor Ironhide checked the hubris of both Valten (and Karl Franz) and Archaon the Everchosen at the conclusion of the Storm of Chaos (global) campaign for Warhammer Fantasy Battles 6th Edition. Just smacked both of them around to prove a point and then left. What was that point? That both of them had made a terrible error not considering Grimgor and his ‘Ardboyz as the main threat.
Also Vardek Crom trying to take his army through Sylvania was equally a dumb idea.
Here are some very old paint jobs from when I played in that campaign!
2024 is coming to a close so here's everything i painted this year. 299 miniatures by my count. I'm not sure if I'll be able to match this pace next year but I'll certainly try.
This is my shopping cart that I take to the grocery store. Red unz’ go fasta! It’s a Menards shopping cart that we found abandoned far away from any of their locations (Menards is like Home Depot or Lowe’s) and I went to Menards to buy the sheet metal and paint, they said (and I quote!) “you can’t keep the cart, we don’t use the plastic ones anymore.” The horns are railroad spikes and one time it skewered a bag of chips, which I then bought.
Several generations of wood Elf minis join together to become my Waywatchers
More of my basing project. Two Arachnarok spiders, a snorting pump wagon, and six goblin chariots including Grom the Paunch!
i have faith that one day someone is going to make an anime about girls who play tabletop wargames with all the standard tropes and intensity of a high school sports anime
I was rewatching the Ralph Bakshi Lord of the Rings cartoon movie for the first time in many years and I forgot how Stoney Baloney this movie was! I realize that they basically ran out of money and had to use all the rotoscope footage they had which is why the story moves along so jarringly quick. There’s a whole 12 minute chase scene where it’s basically horse dressage while Frodo tries to get away. But this is it! This is how I fell in love with orcs! I saw these guys in this and the Hobbit cartoon and it rocked my world. Who were these fanged and tusked guys and where can I find more!? Luckily it was the early-ish 1990’s and I would soon be provided so much to work with as Magic the Gathering, Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, and my discovery of Warhammer Fantasy Battles would happen soon in quick succession not to mention that these movies would be remade by Peter Jackson as the new millennium rolled in. What a movie! What a legacy! What an impact on my life!
The Witchfate Tor! I painted this a long time ago around whenever it came out. It’s due for some touch ups! The “statues” are game pieces from a TSR Hobbies board game called “Dragonstrike” that I bought at a surplus store called Ax Man. Back then I was a smoker with a Redbull habit. Nothing some steady dry brushing and spot detailing couldn’t fix!
I also have the ruined version, the Dreadstone Blight, and another tower whose name escapes me. Not the Deathknell Watch, the other one with the asymmetrical construction that could double as an observatory. Let me know if you know the name!
Not hiding a group of velociraptors per se, but I did give my best friend Emily all my old 5th edition Warhammer fantasy Lizardmen and now she has a thriving hobby to do with her big bi best friend, me.
I AM LGBT AND I SUPPORT LGBT AND I DEFINITELY AM NOT HIDING A GROUP IF VELOCIRAPTORS IN MY BEDROOM CUPBOARD!!! *Leans on the door of my bedroom cupboard, dinosaur sounds coming from within* *whispers at the door* shhh be quiet or else they'll know
