Just finished up a big push for the Regulation Room new rule. Whenever I have some strict deadlines and a bunch of work, both my real and digital desktop are the first to suffer. Keanu and the Swaze helped me power through though. Now, to clean up those files!

The Fine Art of Design.

Did a magazine ad for a great vintage shop in Palm Springs. Was a fun project and allowed me to do more textural work which I’ve been getting into recently, and a touch of screentone which I’ve found hard to incorporate into my style but like the challenge a lot. 

Recently had several conversations with folks about the history and current state of the Bond franchise. I'm a pretty huge fan of the series as a whole, but could be a whole lot happier about the current choices being made about the (historically) suave and cunning spy in the suit.

Hello all, a happy new year to you. Here at AE HQ, I’m pretty exited for this new year. So much to come: apps, posters, games, and countless blog posts about all the wonderful and awful things that make up our 365 days a year. Thanks for following along.

In the 1990 movie Marked For Death, Steven Seagal must take down a Jamaican druglord named Screwface. In it, there are a lot of Jamaicans, and when they talk about Screwface, it is awesome. At the risk of seeming insensitive to the Hollywood portrayal of Jamaicans, I’ll tell you I have a phrase that I often say whenever I hear the word face, and that is “witch ya scroo feese mon.”

Anyway, I’m working on a face / avatar generator app for the iphone and ipad. I’m pretty pumped about it. Below is the loading screen, homepage and main face-making page. I like the style and am starting to crank out the assets. Hope you like it - coming soonish!

Today was the day. The mustache cultivated during Mustache May finally got shorn off. I suspect it will gather quietly for Novembeard…
