Like seriously guys, stop contradicting yourself. Stop second guessing. Stop changing your thoughts. You've got this, trust me. You can't lose in your own reality. That's just plain stupid. It's all just a matter of deciding that it's yours and sticking to it. It seems a Lil too good to be true but that's just how it is. Stick to the fact that it's already done. Deal with anything that comes your way knowing that this won't change. That's it. It's already done for god's sake. Why would anything else matter when it's already done? When you already have it??? When it's already yours???
Stop being the side character in your own reality. Stop losing in your reality. You're the hero, the director, the producer literally anything and everything in your reality. OWN IT. OWN YOUR LIFE. OWN YOUR STORY.
i LOVEEE it when non shifters treat shifting as something normal. I saw a post where they mentioned about deja vu, butterfly effect, lucid dreaming, derealization and then BAM shifting. Best part is when they are open about it and are GENUINELY curious what's it like and they're not hating???
Like yes lad, let me put on my glasses and smoke my cigar REAL QUICK.
having an unknown / uncommon dr is hard. like where is the crowd???
i might have shifted for a couple seconds last night but im sick and lowkey delirious so who fucking knows at this point
quick tip for anyone with racing thoughts
instead of relaxing with your eyes closed, focus on a single point in front of you with your eyes open. don't strain, just gently watch one one single point as if you were observing something. i personally focus on some rainbow string lights i have hanging up with my glasses off/contacts out, the blurry circles are pretty and keep my attention.
you're only job is to keep the eyes observing that focused point- as if someone froze your eyeballs, as if you were transfixed. that being said, do so gently. it's not a firm grasp, its a calm observation- like watching birds
when you do this, it signals to your nervous system that you are no longer scanning the area for threats, and that it is safe. this should naturally reduce noise.
this also helps with becoming aware of the present moment, which is also the state you shift from (if you're shifting awake). there is no "future you" who shifts, just you in the here and now. the you that shifts is in the here and now. you're existence is in the here and now.
remember- even though your awareness is the only part that shifts, you can still find ways to use this body as a tool rather than a hindrance. try to find ways to make it work for you.
It's illogical, why are you afraid of having your desires?
You dream, you manifest, you reach toward the life you desire. Yet when it stands before you, you hesitate. Why does success feel like an unfamiliar weight, something foreign, something unearned?
You have been conditioned to believe that struggle is a prerequisite for worth, that suffering is a rite of passage, that you must crawl before you walk and bleed before you bloom. But tell me, who decided this? Who told you that you must burn to learn? That ease is unnatural? That success must be a battle rather than a birthright?
Society has shackled you with the belief that you must work for your dreams, that you must prove yourself before you can receive. That if something comes easily, it must not be real. But reality is not bound by these outdated rules. You are not bound by them either.
It’s illogical.
It is your duty to break free from these illusions. To unlearn the lies that tell you success must be chased, fought for, earned. Your desires are not rewards for suffering. They are not distant treasures at the end of a long, winding road. They are already yours. They have always been yours.
So stop running from them. Stop resisting what was always meant to be. Stop waiting for permission to live the life you desire. You were not meant to struggle. You were meant to thrive.
Me trying on everything in my closet when I first shift .
Your subconscious already knows what you want. Why are you trying so hard to convince it? It's you who needs to calm down and let the mind do it's job.
Everytime I shift to a random reality is when I tell my subconscious to take me wherever it wants. Your mind cannot fail you, stop doubting it.
Choose what you desire and assume you have it. Because you do. They are not separate from you. Your desires are you.
how shifting actually feels
from an experienced shifter
— many people have experienced symptoms when trying to shift, however not everyone does! when i had began my shifting journey, i used to always get symptoms, but now it’s very rare that i do. maybe i’ve become so used to it that it doesn’t correlate, or maybe it just comes that natural to me, either way i still shift. don’t give up because you can’t feel any symptoms, everyone is different.
— the first shift isn’t shocking. you ‘wake up’ and it feels natural. there’s no confusion, maybe a calm acknowledgement but that’s it. you won’t need a minute to compose yourself, or get so overwhelmed you can’t speak. you will remember all the events before you shifted, and it will feel like a natural continuation.
— when your dr self’s memories come rushing in, it isn’t that noticeable. it takes a split second for your memories to, let’s say, ‘update’. you don’t realise until you have to recall something, like remembering where your keys are or the password to your phone.
— doing things in your dr that you do not do in your cr comes naturally. for example, if you are an f1 driver in your dr, you will still know what you are doing. your brain holds the information you need.
— you are not the main character. istg if someone acts as if the whole world revolves around them in their dr one more time i will actually lose it. every single person in your dr has their own lives, their own feelings, etc. just like your cr. you are not special.
