ES || Sigo con la cuenta atrás con un dragoncito confinado. 2020 fue un año muy extraño, muchas cosas desaparecieron o se reinventaron y una de ellas fue el Sant Jordi. Pero el hecho de no poder salir a las calles no detuvo a nuestra protagonista que pidió libros a las librerías de confianza del barrio para poderlos ir a buscar cuando fuera seguro y con un tazón de infusión de hierbas curativas se puso a releer sus libros preferidos acompañada de su eterno y fiel compañero, un precioso rosal.🌹🐉 EN || I continue the countdown to Sant Jordi with a confined little dragon. 2020 was a very strange year, many things disappeared or were reinvented and one of them was Sant Jordi. SAVE THE BEES (2019)

Bees and other insects are among the main responsible for the pollination, a vital function for biodiversity and for our food (75% of the food we consume depends on pollination) and yet they are disappearing. 40% of invertebrate pollinators, in particular bees and butterflies, face extinction. An example is a North American native bumblebee, the Bombus affinis, which since the late 1990s has reduced its population by 87%. This dangerous and sad decline is due to several causes such as the loss and deterioration of their habitats, parasites and diseases, invasive plant and animal species, the impacts of climate change and the practices of industrialized agriculture, among which the use of pesticides stands out. Let's change our consumption habits! Together we must protect the world and save the bees!🐝

Las abejas entre otros insectos son unas de las principales encargadas de la polinización de las flores, una función vital para la biodiversidad terrestre y para nuestra alimentación, ya que un 75% de los alimentos que consumimos dependen de ello, y sin embargo están desapareciendo. Un 40% de los polinizadores invertebrados, en particular abejas y mariposas, se enfrentan a la extinción. Un ejemplo es el abejorro, nativo de Norteamerica, Bombus affinis que desde finales de los años 90 hasta ahora, ha reducido su población un 87%. Las abejas, junto a mariposas, polillas, avispas, abejorros, mosca abejas, hormigas, moscas y escarabajos (por decir algunos insectos, hay muchísimos más y muchísimas especies en cada categoría!!) son unas de las principales encargadas de la polinización de las flores, una función vital para la biodiversidad terrestre y para nuestra alimentación. Sin embargo, están desapareciendo! Un 40% de los polinizadores invertebrados, en particular abejas y mariposas, y un 17% de los polinizadores vertebrados, como los murciélagos y los pájaros, se enfrentan a la extinción. Esta cifra aun es más alta si pensamos en las islas. En Europa una de cada diez especies de abejas está en peligro de extinción. Este peligroso, devastador y triste declive se debe a varias causas como la pérdida y deterioro de sus hábitats, principalmente a manos de los humanos, las prácticas de la agricultura industrializada, como los monocultivos, el uso de plaguicidas y otros productos químicos, los parásitos y enfermedades, las especies vegetales y animales invasoras y los impactos del cambio climático como la subida de la temperatura que afecta a la floración de las plantas y la escasez de agua.. Pensemos en estos pequeños, pero importantísimos, seres adorables, que parecen pompones voladores, y cambiemos nuestros hábitos de consumo y de vida! Comprar y promover los productos no procesados, de temporada, ecológicos y de proximidad (a mi me encantan los proyectos de agricultura regenerativa), respetar sus hábitats, no caer en el monocultivo y plantar márgenes de flores nativas silvestres son algunos de los pequeños pasos que podemos seguir para ayudarlas.🐝☀️

ES|| Mandad mucho amor a vuestros seres queridos todos los días, sea San Valentín o no!! A veces suelo pensar que no nos decimos suficiente lo mucho que nos apreciamos los unos a los otros. Espero que disfrutéis mucho el día de los enamorados y el fin de semana!!✨ He hecho esta “animación” rápida, un poco brusca, de la conejita cartera que hice el año pasado para San Valentín. Una señora conejo que va cargada de mensajitos de amor, rápida, sin miedo, por un camino un poco bacheado pero decidida a llevar cada carta a su destinatario correspondiente! ♥️🐰
