So: Is it too soon for me to mention how devastating this episode’s cover art is now?
Mary’s bedroom, where she was first exposed to the case that would end up being the death of her. The seemingly harmless children’s stories her dad would tell her about this special diamond… I mean look at this, she even drew pictures of it and had what I’d presume to be a toy diamond here. All of that amidst an otherwise completely normal children’s bedroom with plushies, an unfinished boardgame and such. Us being able to look at her past, back when none of this had become clear, wayyyy before we or the Bakerstreet trio even met her, seeing all these childish items just lying around innocently, with a dawning fate looming over her room, just waiting for her to grow up and get behind all this. Something about the fact that the curtains are being curled up by the wind could almost make me shiver, it makes her room look even more left behind with no one there, because we know where she is now.
I stopped what I was doing and audibly gasped when they mentioned the harpoon, because I was like "Is this what I think it is??" And the more they kept describing the scene the more I realized that I'VE COME INTO CONTACT WITH THIS CASE THROUGH THE FROGWARES GAME "SHERLOCK HOLMES: CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS" BEFORE, it's actually the first case you solve in that game and I hadn't recognized it by just the name "Black Peter" alone, but as soon as the harpoon came in the switch flipped and I was like "OHHH IT'S *THAT* CASE???" I'm still confused about the religious stuff that's been hinted at so far though, since as far as I remember, that part wasn't in the game👀
I also don't remember every single detail from the game version of this case though, so I'm excited to find out how they'll do this🦫
Little Connor has finally gotten his hair after months of waiting and I could finally attach his LED as well :D
I must've messed up while counting the length of some of his hairstrands, that's why his hair is such a mess, but he's my very first crochet project so he's very much allowed to have that🙂↕️
Now for his jacket👀🦫
I can’t put my deerstalker on at home in peace, because every time I do I think of her and that’s very uncomfortable
More of my Andorian OC :] He's got a name now! (And so does my MC hehe they're Atoss and Thesith now)
My first time trying a turnaround, might color in the last sketch with his actual colors later, we'll see :]
If you've got any tips on how to improve the 3/4 view please do let me know cause I'm still kinda struggling with that here
Shoutout to Starfleet's unnecessarily cool jackets
finished the game for the first time on Sunday and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it ever since 👀 The way Markus was introduced with his cosy first chapter, especially in contrast to Kara’s introduction, instantly had me sold on him, he’s certainly one of my favorites🦫
also got a version without the statue from the pacifist route (which I loved to have as an option)🫡 love this guy
I’m still confused about where these rendering skills randomly showed up from specifically for this drawing lol😭
Idk how to introduce this pitch properly, but look at what I've gathered:
Abed - Sherlock
Troy - John
Annie - Mariana
I bet the Sherlock & Co. trio would watch Community on TV nights and I can imagine Troy and Abed listening to Sherlock & Co. and eventually getting Annie into it too for the bit because they want her to know she's their Mariana🧍
This developed from me thinking about how Troy and Abed would dress up as John and Sherlock for Halloween and today I got hit with the connection between Mariana and Annie
Although John is the more "media-reference-y" one, but Sherlock and Abed are both canonically autistic and the way their dynamics work here and also in some other situations/the way they work themselves makes more sense that way I think
(Is there an overlap of these fandoms? Please tell me there's an overlap of these fandoms)
I just finished The Search for Spock for the first time and I cannot express sufficiently how much this has just become my favorite Star Trek movie woah
Man I hate hearing opinions about movies or episodes that I care about, but haven't watched yet
I can deal with positive ones better, but even those are annoying because I'm afraid my feelings about it won't live up to that perception🧍 Negative ones are even worse though because why would you influence my watching experience like this?? I just wanted to enjoy something fun, but now you've got me wanting to prove you wrong by feeling different about it (due to me caring about said media while the other person will usually dislike it in these cases) while also wanting to take your valid opinion into consideration and see your point, so then I'm stuck feeling conflicted about it EVEN THOUGH I JUST WANTED TO ENJOY THIS, JUST LET ME WATCH IT IN PEACE AND BUILD MY OWN SECURE OPINION BEFORE HAVING IT INFLUENCED ALREADY🥸
