To Move On Sigil
It takes a lot of courage to let go of things that hurt us. But when we finally do - we are free. Kiran Shaikh.

Thanks to severe OCD and PTSD, I’m often stuck in my own head with a bunch of intrusive and obsessive nonsense. I came up with a perpetual banishing and transmutation spell to help process and deal with unwanted thoughts.
The Banishing Bin functions somewhat like a computer’s recycle bin:
write unwanted thought/feeling on a sticky note or piece of small paper
draw banishing/transmutation sigil over words
fold up paper and throw in banishing bin
burn/rip/trash them during the waning crescent or dark moon
This is a great spell if you’re a spoonie or not open about your craft. It’s fairly easy to perform and store without raising eyebrows (it literally just sits on my bookcase unsuspiciously). I found the mini trashcan at a local discount store for a couple dollars. The cheapest one I can find online can be purchased from Amazon here, but you can use any container you like as a bin. If you don’t have a banishing sigil you’re already working with, feel free to use mine.
I've been having some issues with my self-esteem lately and I've been meaning to start writing my own spells, so I thought this would be a perfect place to start.
Himalayan pink salt - protection
Chilli - protection, self-love
Cinnamon stick - protection, healing
Cumin - protection, self-love
Coriander - protection, self-love, healing
Rosemary - protection, self-love, inner strength
A jar
Incense - cleansing
Rose quartz - self-love
Pink cord
White/pink candle
Start by cleansing your jar and sacred space (can be done through various methods, I choose to use incense).
Add the salt, herbs, spices, and the crystal to the jar, making sure your intentions are clear.
Tie a pink cord around the neck of the jar before putting the lid on. I added a charm that says "just for you" to make sure the spell is directed at myself (I'm also just really vibing with charms rn).
Seal the jar with wax from a pink or white candle.
Let someone be annoying or difficult in their own world, and stay away from you. Your supplies for this spell are:
• A photo or drawing of the person
• A pin
• Vinegar
• Salt
• Jar with lid
If you are using a drawing, write the person’s name on it as well. Fold it over once, and secure it folded with the pin. Drop it into the jar. Repeat the following:
Sealed with a pin In my jar, you stay in
Keep saying the words while you put a few drops of vinegar in the jar, and then a sprinkle of salt. Seal the lid tightly, and put the jar in a dark place.

Common Uses: Cleansing, Connection to the Goddess, Fertility, New Beginnings, Opening of the Third Eye, Protection. Elemental Association: Water Planetary Association: The Moon Hag Stones, also known as Holey Stones, Witch Stones, or Adder Stones, are naturally occurring stones that have a hole or holes in them, typically found near the ocean and other bodies of water. The holes occur due to the elements taking their toll on the surface of the stone, eventually breaking their way through in a specific manner. Known to be powerful protection charms, they are said to protect the owner from anything ranging from negative spirits to hexes to curses to spiritual harm. If hung up next to your bed side or kept under a pillow, it is said that they will aid in preventing nightmares. It is said that if one were to peer through one of a Hag Stone’s holes, it will allow you to see the Fair Folk and other otherworldly beings at will. At your own risk. Rumor also has it that if the stone were to break, it has used its power to protect a life. Who’s life? Good question.

Tips for Witchcraft in the Dorm
If you're in a situation where you have a roommate that may not be open to your craft, you're in the broom closet and being in college makes it even harder to practice, you're starting your witch journey while in college, you couldn't take a full sized altar to school, or you're like me and attend a private Christian college (ugh) that makes you feel the need to be discreet, this post is for you!
If you have an altar: Find a way to downsize your altar. For some this isn't a huge thing, but I'm the kind of gal that liked to go all out with my space. The best way to do it is to find a box or container that can be moved easily and has all your essentials, and only take what can fit. If you can't fit certain tools, it's best to find substitutions. A small bowl that can hold water will work just as well as a crystal ball. Putting herbs in bags will allow more room than jars.
Alternative to candle magic: I know the urge to put tape over that fire alarm is real but I'm unfortunately a goody two shoes. Luckily wax burners exist and you can get all the fun of candle magic minus the flame. I like to draw sigils into my wax before melting it for spellwork; and you can get all sorts of different colored wax. If you need unscented wax, you can buy white wax and dye it.
Some discreet types of magic to look into:
Tea. Tea. Tea. I cannot stress how useful tea magic is. There's loads of information about it right here on Tumblr! Most dorms allow ectric teapots and tea is easy to store.
Knot magic. Here's a great post about it. Absolutely any kind of spell can be done with a knot and it's super easy to implement into everyday activities.
Moon magic. Guys, the moon is awesome. Work with it. Moon water is a great manifestation tool and corresponding anything with the moon phases is an instant boost. It's also free and super easy.
Sigils. Really fun to learn and really easy to draw in a couple journals, on a foggy window, in your tea as you stir it, or on your skin. I recommend Pinterest if you're trying to find tutorials.
Runes. I like to cast physical runes but there's lots of ways to use these in everyday magic. Each symbol has their own meaning and there's an abundance of information on them. Similar to sigils, I like to draw them on things.
Extra tips:
Learn the correspondences for each day of the week. Doing little things for each day will keep you connected to your craft as you get through college.
Anything can be a chalice. Cleanse that cup and you're good to go.
Astrology is your friend.
I'm here for you. College is hard. Dorming can be a pain too.
I hope this helps someone. Reblog if you can. Love you all!
This one actually required a lil bit of guts to post because while this works for me, I’m just starting to branch out of the research phase of witchcraft and starting to do my own practice, but I’m still petrified of doing things “wrong.” That disclaimer aside, I’m gonna explain what I’ve been working on and experimenting with.
So I’ve been making spell jars with candles on top lately. The idea here is that the spell jar is harnessing the energy of its contents when the candle is burning. That’s my intention for it anyway, and it seems to be working quite well.
This particular one I made today for the purpose of cleansing residual energy after I’ve helped a spirit cross over. I’ve had some issues with spirits in my apartment lately so that’s the reason for this.
It contains: 💧Stream Water (for cleansing) 💧Swamp Water (for banishing) 🌱Juniper leaves + berries (for cleansing and protection against malignant forces) 🍃 Violet Leaves (protection against evil)
(Also I’m totally aware that the ingredients list in my grimoire includes sage. I just forgot to add the sage before I sealed it lol).
I tried it out and it works pretty well. After I helped this one spirit cross over, I left it burning where she was standing for a few minutes and the residual energy was lessened but not gone. I’d imagine I’d need to let it burn for longer.
Anyway this was a little insight into my current practice. Maybe it could serve as an idea for someone else, or maybe I’m about to get roasted. I don’t really know.
Either way, thanks for reading ☺️

Draw this sigil on a picture of your target, or on an item that belonged to them, or on a piece of paper with their full name and date of birth on it. Alternatively you can set this as the contact photo for their phone number on your phone because #TechMagic
