I really love how this artist managed to take Loki’s wild, chaotic, Ragnarok-inducing menagerie of mythological offspring and somehow make them actually super adorable. I love the contrast of myth-Loki’s children with movie-Loki, too. This is beautiful, adorable, sweet, and hilarious and I love it. 

Also I love imagining the confusion of people only familiar with the movies wondering how on earth Loki is a mother... Welcome to Norse mythology ;)

I may have a bit of a weakness for Loki with his kids. Okay, a HUGE weakness. And, really, it may be for all Supervillains with their children cause I always had a major thing for Lex being cute with Kon when I was in SV, hmmm…^__- Alas, as popular as preggers!Loki is, him with his kids doesn’t seem as common in fic…:-p

I’m happy I can find Atlantis appreciation here! I always loved it. I’m pretty sure I still have my Kida and Milo barbies somewhere around here...

And, I know not everyone is crazy about the current trend of live-action Disney remakes, but can you imagine how epic a live-action Atlantis would be?! Just putting that out there...

Oo I love a good “happily ever after... ?” fic, and it’s even better in the form of a beautiful comic! The art is so lovely and detailed, and the emotions in the story are so complicated; I love it. I love the pretty dresses and the sweeping scenery and the strained intimacy between Rey and Kylo; it’s believably in character and I like how it’s asking what the best solution that could come out of everything would even be.

I’ve been phone shopping, and I got thinking about making my own phone cover to go under a clear phone case. I made these quick mock-ups with some inspirational Doctor Who quotes just to see what that might look like, and they turned out pretty neat so I thought I’d throw them up here. They aren’t what I’d consider “finished”, but if you want to print one off and glue it to your phone, more power to you! Feel free to reblog.

1. Not to copy the person I got this ask from, but I also have two cats! Their names are Maple and Willa :) They were abandoned as kittens so we actually bottle fed them and raised them from when they were only a few weeks old, and now they’re super clingy because my mom and I are collectively their mom cats <3 Also, Willa is actually my blog icon. So, in fairness, I suppose I should post a picture of boy cat (as we often call Maple):

2. I sometimes suspect I might be tone deaf. I’ve been trying to tune my guitar but I have a terrible time telling if the notes on the guitar are higher or lower than the notes on the tuner. I used to have a tuner that just made a buzzing sound and I really couldn’t make heads nor tails of that since the sound it made was nothing like the one my guitar makes; I don’t get how people can do things like that, where they can get a pitch from one sounding thing and make it match up with a completely different sounding thing. It’s like when people take a note from a piano and sing it. Seriously, if it’s not the same sound then how do you tell if you’re at the same pitch as it? But anyways, I found this online guitar tuner that actually makes guitar sounds and I’ve been getting closer to being able to tune my guitar. I still had to ask my mom a couple of times whether I was higher or lower than the note on the tuner, but eventually I got it fiddled in and I think the first three strings on my guitar are actually pretty much in tune now. They certainly sound better than before, at least. (I can generally tell “good” or “not good”, more or less, even if I can’t always tell whether the “not good” is higher or lower.) I was going to try and tune the other three strings but Willa, speaking of whom, decided that she was more important than my musical endeavors and climbed up on my chest to demand attention. Fortunately, the first three strings are all I need to play Ode to Joy, which is the only piece I can play from memory. Despite the fact that I first took guitar lessons in 6th grade, I am still very much a beginner.

3. I have been idly thinking about dyeing my hair something between red and purple since… probably around middle school, but I’ve never done so. I have had roughly the same length and color of hair all of my life, basically. I’ve been thinking about it much more seriously of late (partially thanks to my current MCR obsession, between Gerard and the Killjoys), and I was generally thinking that after the current play I’m in, (which is the Crucible, and being historic, discourages unnaturally bright hair colors,) I might finally dye it. The rub, though, is that our play, which was supposed to happen this very weekend, is postponed indefinitely, what with all this pandemic business. So, now I’m not sure how long I need to wait before I dye my hair. But anyways, I found this blog post and this woman’s hair is pretty much exactly what I’m wanting color-wise. 

Bonus fact, I am pretty much incapable of giving short, simple answers, haha. I’ve always been inclined to overexplain, I guess. 

Also, you may have thought you saw me accidentally answer this ask before I was ready, but that definitely didn’t happen. Pfffffft I have no clue what you’re talking about. I know how to tumblr. 

When Dracula was giving his big speech about all the battle triumphs of his family over the years and he mentioned "that great shame of my nation, the shame of Cassova," I lowkey read it as "Casanova" at first and I thought that Dracula was just throwing shade at his weird horny cousin who slept around a lot. I was like "oh I didn't know they were related" until I looked at the word closer, lol.

I know it's a little belated, but I'm not ready to move on to Christmas music just yet personally. If you know any other good Thanksgiving-themed songs, please do tell me in the notes! I'm always looking to expand my holiday playlists and Thanksgiving is definitely the shortest on holiday-specific songs.

Edited to add, I know everybody says this, but please reblog for reach! I'm largely fishing for more songs to expand my Thanksgiving Playlist so the more people see this, hopefully the more suggestions I'll get. Honestly I learned most of what I know from youtube roller skate channels like Indy Jamma Jones and Queer Girl Straight Skates! They have a lot of really helpful videos for beginners. This video from Indy was like my very first starting point; she talks about focusing on shifting your weight with your feet in a V rather than just pushing off, and thinking about it that way really helped me start to move forward without falling over.

Also, PSA, one of the first things a friend on discord told me was to always wear your wrist guards because you're most likely to break your wrist trying to catch yourself if you fall skating. Knee pads are really good too and you can use them for emergency stopping when you're starting out as well. All pads and helmets are useful in their own ways, but even now when I'm pretty comfortable and I sometimes skate without a helmet or knee pads, I still always wear the wrist guards.
