" What are you waiting for?" Hero chuckled and it sounded dry and lifeless- it almost hurt Villain to listen.
"You have me in a chokehold and I clearly have nowhere to run." , they continued, as if taunting.
Villain opened their mouth, prepared to spit out a sarcastic retort but the next thing Hero said shut them up, the words dying in their throat.
"Go on, stab me." Hero said, their eyes daring them to.
And Villain would have believed them if not for the way their shoulders slumped against the cold wall, as if they were tired of standing and just wanted to fall down, tired of carrying the heavy weight on their shoulders and just wanted to let go.
And that's when Villain realized that these words were Hero's attempts at provoking them- like a devil whispering in your ear, Hero wanted Villain to listen to them, wanted Villain to stab them, to take their life, to relieve them of whatever it was that they wanted to get away from.
And there was no way Villain was having any of that. If the world didn't want Hero anymore, if Hero themselves didn't want them anymore then Villain would give them something to live for, because losing Hero wasn't worth anything.
So Villain stared back, gaze hard and firm, refusing to break eye contact, daring them as if saying "make me."
sorry this is short / just wanted to give you all something to read hehe / planning a series which I'll get to work on asap / poor Hero is just tired and Villain wants to help / hope you enjoyed:) / feel free to use as a prompt, but please tag or credit me

The conflict and emotions in this one, lovely 🥺❤
“It pains me to see my hero that way.” The villain said after a moment of silence.
And, oh god, didn’t that sound too soft? Too sad? So unlike the venomous words that usually dripped from the villain’s lips, burning themselves into the hero’s mind as if they were acid.
This seemed so different, so alien.
A flawless impression of sincere concern. Almost like the villain had actually meant it. Oh, it would have been so easy to believe those words. So tempting to trust a voice like the promise of a comforting embrace, a soothing touch.
Such beautiful lies,
but lies nonetheless.
This was wrong.
“I’m not yours!” The hero shot back, clutching at the anger churning up searing hot inside of them like it was their one and only lifeline. At least it was far more welcome than any of the other emotions currently coursing through them.
They didn’t want to have to deal with the villain right now.
They didn’t want this conversation.
They didn’t want these feelings.
All of this was so very wrong!
Years of experience in the field and a long acquaintance with the other had taught the hero better than to foolishly fall for any of that.
And yet nothing could have prepared them for how the villain’s face twisted into that pitiful frown they were now wearing. For how the villain’s hand flew to their own chest, clawed at the fabric of their shirt. How their voice cracked when they spoke.
“In my heart, we’ve always been each other’s.”
Oh, dear.
The hero had been mistaken, hadn’t they?
With all that burning fury so suddenly forgotten, an icy shiver crept down their spine as they recognised the villain’s words for what they truly were.
Not a beautiful lie,
but an ugly truth.
People need to remember this <3
Do you cringe when you read your posts? Because I wanna write stuff and post it here but I already start feeling awkward after i finished what I wrote. And seeing it on tags would be so awkward too 🥲 is there any advice for a situation like that?
(have a wonderful day and have a cookie 🍪)
Personally, no, I don't cringe when I read my own stuff. I might occasionally cringe at the old posts, but that's only cause I can see all the mistakes in them now.
As for advice, I want you to remember that you are your own worst critic. You, the author, see the entire process of creation from start to finish. There's a high chance that you will catch mistakes or doubt yourself after writing something.
The most important thing is that you don't be too hard on yourself. Think of it like this; if you go and read someone else's fic, and that fic has a few small mistakes or its pacing is a little off, you're not gonna leave a comment calling the author of that fic a piece of shit, now will you?
No, you're just gonna overlook those mistakes and enjoy the fic regardless. Maybe you'll politely point those things out to the author to help them improve, but you're not gonna start insulting them over it.
So, keep in mind that that is how most people will interact with your fic! Sure, someday, someone might leave a rude comment on one of your fics, but honestly? Don't worry about it.
And if you don't want to post your writing on your main blog, you can make a side blog and post a few things on there as a test! And if things go well after, let's say, a few weeks, you can decide if you want to start posting on your main!
(Thank you for the cookie, here's a donut for ya🍩)
one handing the other their jacket because they're feeling cold. "are you cold? here, take my jacket."
B's jacket looks too big on A, making them look more smaller than they are. 'they're adorable', B thinks. A looks at them a little cluelessly, struggling to wear it properly. B just sighs, fond, and helps them out.
A and B introducing each other to new experiences, making each other's lives more fulfilling. "here, I got this for you"; "do you want to go there with me?"
A knows B loves sweets so gets them sweets from their hometown and B looks like Christmas came early. "are all of these for me? you're the best!!" A just smiles fondly at them, nodding happily.
A and B go out with B's friend, who walks a little too quickly. A can't really keep up, but they try, not wanting to bring it up and make the third person feel uncomfortable. B notices, walks slower to match A's pace and gently alerts their friend - "hey C, can we walk a little slower?"
one invites the other over to an activity that they know they'll like, to cheer them up, make them smile or just to spend more time with them.
giving each other compliments that go beyond the surface/looks, choosing to compliment them about their personality. "I like the way you pour your heart into everything you do"; " i don't know what it is that you're doing, but keep doing what you're doing - just keep being yourself"; "I'm able to be myself with you and it feels nice."
one staying back after their lecture to wait for the other (and sometimes pretending that they weren't waiting for a long time, to not make the other feel guilty).
A wants to host B for a change because B does that for them all the time. They're seriously amazed and in awe of B's ability to host, that they become nervous when the time comes. "hey, relax, I came here for you, so you should just be yourself."
A and B hang out at a common friend's house, and B chooses to leave earlier than A. Before they go, they make sure to tell their friend, "please make sure A gets home early and safe."
A and B go to shop for some clothes, and A waits for B right outside the dressing room while they're trying on their clothes. When B comes out, a pleasant smile pulls on their lips to see A still waiting for them. "It's your turn now," B says, placing a gentle hand on A's shoulder, "I'll wait for you right here."
A considers themselves as a soft-spoken person, they don't really raise their voice and because of that, they often feel like they're not heard, or like they have to say something more than once to be heard. it makes them really insecure and they try to be louder, but it's still hard for them to do it most of the time. B always hears them though; reacts even when A calls out for them only once and it never fails to warm A's heart.
When A and B are part of group discussions, one always makes sure that the other is heard / has a chance to give their opinions. "Hey A, what do you think about this?"; "I think B hasn't had a chance to give their opinion yet".
(y'all really seemed to like this one a lot, so here's a part 2! I hope you'll enjoy this one too <3 thank you for all the love and support 💗)
Hero trudges back home, her foot kicking up some mud on this lonely strip of road. She can't decide if she's happy or frustrated that nothing ever happens where she lives, not even villains, as if they don't find this place appealing enough to even visit.
She decides, after a moment, that maybe it's both. She's both happy that she doesn't have to deal with villains here, that this is the one constant place that she has in her life, and she's also a little frustrated that nothing ever happens here, and everywhere you see are familiar faces. She kind of wishes her town had the tradition to were masks like people in Jaoanese festivals do, so that it would at least bring some novelty into this place. Or she wishes that she can spot a new face somewhere, but the only face she wants to see right now is that of her partner's.
The wind blows to the left, and she turns to look. That's the path that leads to the sunflower field, one of her all time favourite places. She takes out her phone as the wind pushes her further to the field, holding the device in front of her face, trying to get a nice angle. Click. She opens villain’s chat and hits the send button, with a yellow heart emoji attached to the picture. She then sits down at the edge of the field, legs dangling, eyes taking in the spectacular view in front of her. This is probably the only place I'll never get tired of, even if it's the same ten years from now, she thinks.
Hero’s phone vibrates in her pocket, and she pulls it out to see a message from villain. She opens the chat — smiling softly.
V: This looks so beautiful!! Is this the sunflower field that you always talk about? Thank you for the picture baby💛
Hero takes a moment to swoon. She loves it when villain calls her baby, and she has a feeling that they know that too.
H: Yes it is, one of my favourite places ever! I wish I could show this to you someday.
There it is, hero thinks. This ache that mixes up with the bubbly feelings in her chest because her lover lives in an entirely different continent away from her and there's nothing either of them can do about it for now. It's this sizzling agony that's there right under her skin, keeping her awake at night sometimes.
V: That sounds lovely. I would love to see it.
And then hero’s smiling, grinning. So much that her cheeks start to hurt and those blue feelings inside her chest slowly melt away, leaving her with this happy, giddy haze. Somewhere inside, the logical part of her speaks — what is even happening ?
Hero ignores that and just stares at the wide expanse of the field in front of her, beautifully painted by the sun setting on the horizon behind. She lets her mind wander to villain, her lover whom she's never met but knows — because one doesn't have to meet to know someone right? Of course hero aches to meet them, just like all the lovers in ancient texts do. She's no different. So she tries to meet them in her imagination at least- one hand in their soft, brown hair, while the other cups their cheek, tender with that natural blush that drives her crazy; and then villain's hands are in her hair, tangling her long back strands but she can't find it in herself to care one bit —
Her phone buzzes again and hero’s pulled out of that soft world in her mind, back to the real one. Her eyes take in her surroundings once again, noticing the changes. The sky is inky blue, like deep ocean waters and the sun is nowhere to be seen . The sunflowers that were all looking at the sun like dedicated devotees, have now turned to look at their loved ones next to them instead, and settle in their arms for the night. Hero looks at her phone, her mind working in two angles — one thinking about this fact that she read about sunflowers somewhere while the other focuses on villain’s chat box.
V: You'll have to fight supervillain later this evening right?
Hero groans as she remembers her pressing duties to this city — fighting supervillains, protecting the civilians, being the symbol of justice. It's only in the short time that she spends with villain — in their chatbox, occasional phone calls, when she thinks of villain, that she feels like a normal twenty something, just living her life and falling in love with someone breathtakingly amazing.
H: You're always more updated about my schedule than I am xD But yeah, I have to.
Hero imagines villain’s mouth, unable to decide between their usual smirk or rare soft smiles. She wonders what expression they're wearing right now.
V: Of course I am. That's one thing technology is good for.
Hero chuckles, simply happy that villain even bothers to keep track of all of this.
V: Fight safely and vigilantly okay? Trust your gut feelings, they're always valid. Your feelings are always valid.
Hero clutches her phone tight in her hand, trying to bury her face into her own arms. Her heart performs this dance everytime villain does stuff like this, and she never knows how to handle it.
H: Thank you my love❤ I'm a little nervous of course, but I think I'll be okay. I can do this.
Hero knows there's no point in putting up a front or lying to villain. They always know somehow. And hero thinks that she doesn't want to lie — she's always putting up a front for the world, the people, her opponents. So she wants at least this one person in the entire world to know who she really is, in all her silly, anxious and raw glory.
V: You'll be fine baby. You're an amazing fighter and I believe in you.
Okay, that's it. Hero feels like her entire body is on fire and she forces herself to look away from the phone screen at the field in front of her so that her fingers don't start doing this embarrassing keysmash that people generally seem to do when they're embarrassed. Does she want to do that? She thinks she'd rather avoid it. Or at least try to.
That's when her mind supplies that fact about sunflowers that it was trying to remember. When the sun is not visible, the sunflowers turn towards one another, as if the sun is just a fever dream that is abandoned as soon as it dips below the horizon, and the only real things that exist in the world are the flowers themselves and their partners who exist right beside them. Hero watches as the wind gently coaxes them, one flower falling into another and vice versa, as they hold each other and dance while the first stars form constellations in the sky. Hero thinks how beautiful this is, that there is a whole universe beyond clichés, that a sunflower doesn't have to achingly wait for a sun that will never belong to it, but instead the world is for its taking as it falls in love with the flower next to it — one that will return its feelings.
And all of a sudden, hero is overwhelmed by this weird emotion in her chest. She can't name it, she's always been bad with names. But sitting here and looking at these sunflowers breaking clichés makes her heart soar for some inexplicable reason. It's like nature is telling her that nothing else matters other than feelings that are respected and returned.
She opens villain's chat and starts typing in everything that she's realised in the past minute with increased fervour, afraid that all of these thoughts would just up and disappear into a puff of nothing because nothing is really everlasting — except this one moment. And she plans to make the best of it. She types the last letter, then attaches a close-up picture of two sunflowers with tangled petals facing one another and hits send.
Villain takes a minute to reply, but it brings the brightest smiles to hero's face regardless.
V: I don't know if you even realise this, but I just love the way you fucking think ❤ The sunflowers seem like they could pass for humans themselves don't they? Because I just find this whole thing alarmingly human — the way we have our hearts on our sleeves when we know no one else is looking, for that one person.
Hero sighs happily, she didn't think feeling understood could feel this liberating. It's definitely one of those feelings that people can get high on , she thinks. Damn, she thinks she's definitely getting high on this herself.
H: Thank you love, I love the way you think too! And I do agree, the sunflowers are humans xD (plus ten heart emojis).
A few more minutes go by and hero receives another message from villain with this attached picture:
there's a hand (hero guesses it's villain’s hand) holding two violet flowers together (so they look like they're hugging) with this caption —
I had to chase away two ducks for this picture, because these flowers were apparently their evening snack. How cool is that?
And hero’s full blown laughing now, the clutching-your-stomach kind of laughing and she hopes that the laughing emoji on her phone would do this justice. Probably not.

Here's the live coverage of Hero vs Supervillain-
The newsreader reads live from the venue and villain’s eyes refuse to leave the tv screen for even a single moment. They watch as their hero holds her ground against such a powerful foe and villain’s heart fills up to the brim with a mix of fondness and pride. They don't feel the rest of the evening pass by, as they sit and watch the entire live coverage without as much as even getting up.
Hero emerges victorious, and she has a few surface injuries here and there, some nasty looking gashes but she's standing there and she's alive and she's okay and villain finally lets out a breath that they didn't even know they were holding.
That's their strong, sweet and kind hero and villain can't be happier to call her their girlfriend.
Hellooo there lovely people!! part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4
synopsis: i seriously feel like this gets more trash and cheesy with every new addition but i haven’t felt this excited about writing in… years? so yeah, if you find what’s wrong with this let me know so i can fix it. i think it’s because im super bad at interrupting dialogue with narration without making it look forced. does anyone have any suggestions for that? is anyone even reading the pink part?
“What did they…” the hero whispered, extending an arm to brush their fingers against Villain’s shoulder, “what did they do to you?”
Villain winced at their touch, then seemed to remember where they were and let their muscles relax.
Hero gave them an encouraging look, not entirely sure they were ready to hear whatever had happened that had turned the villain from the fearless, merciless enemy they’d known into… whatever this broken, scared shadow of them was.
“I was supposed to be working with…” they corrected themselves, “for them. For Supervillain. They had a plan, this whole plan to take control of the city, then the entire region, and God know what else.”
“They forced me to join them. You know I’m not interested in that… world-control stuff, you know that.”
“I do know,” they scooted a bit closer to them, careful not to startle them, hoping it would be enough support to continue, “what happened next?”
They finally looked Hero in the eyes, a raw honesty in their expression that the hero would have never dreamed of seeing. “They’d threatened to kill my family if I didn’t help them, I couldn’t just let them do that, right? You would have done the same, right?” They sounded a bit too much like they were begging.
Hero wasn’t so sure of their answer. Were they selfish enough to put the safety of their team before that of thousands of innocents? They decided to lie instead. For the sake of politeness. “Yes, totally.”
Villain seemed reassured. “However, when I got to know more of the plan… it was horrifying, Hero. They’re truly a monster. More than I could ever be. I couldn’t stomach spending another second working on that. So I told them I was going to leave.”
“And that’s when they kidnapped you,” Hero guessed.
Villain nodded, silent.
They scratched lightly at their arm, staring into the distance, as if trying to remember what had happened next.
“They kept me there. There was no reason to, really, it’s not like they were forcing me to cooperate with them. It was just revenge. Plain cruelty fueling them. God, I don’t think I’d ever been that… scared before in my whole life.” Their breath become more irregular, quicker, as their nails left red marks on their skin. “They did hold their promise, they did kill my family. Not just them, some friends too. They burned my house to ashes,” a light sob escaped their lips. “I didn’t even know about that. I only found out all about it after I managed to escape. That sick bastard wanted to make sure they left me with nothing. They did. They won.” Their voice wavered, in a mix of pain and anger. “And then there was that damn cell, where they’d take me, and… it was full of-”
“That’s enough.” Hero interrupted. They grabbed their hand, “Stop, you’re hurting yourself.”
The villain glanced down at their arm, only now noticing the scratches left on their skin. They gagged and shot to their feet, running to the bathroom.
The hero quickly debated whether they should follow them or not, then made their way to the bathroom, finding the villain kneeling in front of the toilet, coughing and spitting into the bowl.
Hero crouched and held their hair away from their face until they stopped vomiting their dinner.
Villain sat on their heels and closed their eyes. “I can’t believe this is the second time you’ve seen me like this today. If this becomes a habit, I’m getting out of here,” they said in fake annoyance. They didn’t look like they had enough energy to actually be annoyed, at the moment.
“I’m sorry, Villain. I shouldn’t have asked.” They truly were sorry. They wished they weren’t, reminding themselves that it was Villain they were talking to, but they couldn’t help it. Them and their damned morals.
The silence stretched as neither of them dared to make a move.
“I have nothing left,” Villain confessed in a whisper, eyes watering, “no one left.”
“Shh,” the hero reached out a hand and cupped the villain’s cheek, surprised at their own actions, “you’re safe, now.”
Villain leaned into their touch instead of flinching, this time. “When you arrested me… there was no point in fighting. Fighting… for what? I have no house, no family to return to.”
“It’s okay, don’t think about that. Everything’s alright,” they stroked their cheek, catching a couple tears with their thumb, “let’s go to bed now, okay? I’ll call you for breakfast tomorrow.”
In the morning, they were both too embarrassed to look each other in the eye.
“What happened last night…” Villain finally spoke, “never ever mention it.”
