Guys, not all of us are smart enough to be having these moral conversations on a fandom site of all places.
I see your 'hot takes' posts and how you have to back pedal in the notes because people smarter and more eloquent than you responded with reasonable counters.
Like, if your 'hot takes' involves meme language and internet slang, maybe don't post it, because you obviously didn't think long and hard about what you wanted to say or if it was even going to be seen by anyone.
You look juvenile and/or unhinged, sorry.
do you believe in ghosts? aliens? why or why not?
Nope, both those things are demons! Because they have the appearance of otherworldly power or knowledge but never inside a worldview that takes the Biblical God into account, but boy, they sure will distract people from the Biblical God.
I think the weird thing about politics right now, especially online, is how dehumanizing people can be.
I have a buddy on one of the discords and I added him on X and wow, he has some very radical left wing views and would absolutely chew me out for my beliefs in a different context, but because we first talked about books and stories, we can see each other as people.
I think a lot of the people online who are incredibly rude to me would be decent humans to me if we met in person.
We just get in mob mentality and plugged into the rage porn from the media and forget that just because someone thinks different solutions would work, doesn't make them evil.
And I think the fact that most conservatives I know don't feel safe or comfortable speaking about their beliefs kinda keeps people from realizing that people they interact with all the time don't actually agree with them on political matters.

Update on my crochet skirt! All granny squares were completed, blocked AND sewn together! And it looks fantastic!
I bought lining fabric for the skirt, but honestly I don't think it will be needed!
What IS needed now though, is to weave in all those ends 😰 I also need to make the waistband.
The skirt is the width of my hips (9 squares) so I need to gradually cinch in the waist (there's a word for it in crochet, but it's not coming to mind) I also want to crochet around the bottom edge to 'clean up' the hem.
Still a lot of work, but I can't wait to finish and wear it!
Daily Doodles- Day 74- 28/06/24
A combination of scribble art and character drawing! I was watching Peter Draws on YouTube and decided to try something inspired by his doodle art.

I've never cared about Harry Potter or JK Rowling that much, but the fact that people were announcing that they were removing Harry Potter tattoos over her opinions, or boycotting a game and shaming anyone who didn't, or even burning books should have been what woke me up years ago. I have not heard of HP Lovecraft or worse authors getting as much hate as she has, to the point where even liking any of her work is met with scrutiny. Apparently separating the author from their work can only work if the author isn't even gently pressing against a certain dogma.
Part One | Part Two
Art post #1 || Art post #2 || Here || Art post #4
This was part of my final assignment for the writing course I took in 2022.
The project was a book framework where we did a basic outline for a story. We had to outline a whole book, from the copyright page to acknowledgements and all.
It was quite helpful actually! I would have never thought to do something like that in the planning stages.
This was for my potential novel-length story called 'Reluctant Jamette'. It's about a young woman unwillingly given these demonic powers around the same time her part of the country is being attacked by these spirits called jumbies.
She and a sort of friend are trying to figure out how to get rid of the powers and end up uncovering their sinister origins.
WhOooOOOoOoOo!
Read the summary of my potential story below:
‘Shrouded in black and clownish adornment
Her new normal she found abhorrent
Pulled away from her mundane life
She is forced to battle with demons that were not hers to fight’
Jumbies, mischievous and malevolent spirits have been plaguing East Trinidad for months and Twenty-three-year-old Tamika Ramsahai was the one chosen by a mysterious power to unwillingly defend against their attacks.
Not interested in protecting a public that scorns her at every turn, Tamika’s goal is to find a way to get rid of the powers once and for all.
Through battling jumbies that carry cryptic messages and her co-worker who knows a little too much about her situation for her own good, Tamika starts to realise that these powers may have a darker intent behind them.
So I'm focusing on 'Time Warp' and fleshing out some of the antagonist characters. I realised they were just mean for being mean and it wouldn't make sense why they're targeting the protagonists.
This has me thinking about if I should include their POVs in the story because I wrote a whole page about why one of the characters decided to prank them and how they felt about it.
This story also has supernatural elements working in the background and I'm having fun coming up with different ways it communicates with them.
Once I have all the characters fully formed (to my standards) I'll show you guys some art!
So now that I know how to plan my stories, I'm planning them!
I bought some of those clear folders that you can just slip your papers through to organize everything and I have a folder for each.
I've had many, many, many stories over the years, but these are the ones I've decided to focus on.
Not Another Paranormal Romance
Loved the idea for this one and really want to continue with it. You can read the short story I wrote from this idea here, here and here!
Diary of an Ex-Witch
A recent idea (like a week old or so) Was definitely inspired by reading the Bible and understanding a few things about GOD a bit better.
Time Warp/ Rewind
Name is pending. This is an idea I had when I was 17 and I absolutely HAVE to write this! Especially since I've gotten so many new ideas for it! It will be about two 3rd formers (13 to 14-year-olds) who mysteriously travel back in time to the week before they were cruelly pranked by their peers.
K.I.D.S
This was a story idea from when I was 15, heavily inspired by my favourite series at the time, N.E.R.D.S by Michael Buckley (I still have and read all the books to this day!)
----------------
This story grew in originality as I got older and it went from being about exceptional kid spies (veeeerrrry similar to N.E.R.D.S) to regular kids unintentionally caught up in the secrets and drama of the hidden. I'm still working on organising my thoughts for this one, especially since I plan for it to be a trilogy.
I do plan to work on some short stories, both to share with you and to exercise my writing muscles. I may also share some snippets of writings based on these novel-length ideas. I find that writing shorts featuring your characters are a good way to get to know them.
I share my art and writing and sometimes I reblog stuff that I like. You can also find my stuff atYouTube, AO3 and FictionPress
