hi angels! here is a short list of all of my favourite tips for beauty and self care this winter. this is a fairly broad list so feel free to add your own or ask for more specifics! enjoy.
apply sudacrem or a thick cream to your face before bed (perfect for preventing redness and acne).
wear suncream daily still (winter sun is harsher than you realise!).
use a skin oil after moisturiser.
drink hot teas.
apply vaseline and body lotion to your feet then wear thick socks to bed.
use a silk pillowcase.
apply cuticle oil and hand cream.
use a hair mask weekly.
get sunlight every day.
use a humidifier.
drink green tea with honey and lemon (helps skin and immune system).
find some good vitamins that will help you in colder, wintery months!
eat more omega three fats.
ice face daily.
apply more moisturiser/switch to a thicker kind.
take warm baths.
exfoliate lips more regularly.
invest in a lip mask.
find a simple winter makeup routine.
eat warm meals and seasonal produce.
find a slow morning yoga routine.
find glowy products for that winter angel look.
wake up earlier to get more outdoor/sun time.
find a slow workout routine that targets every part of your body.
drink water with lemon and a pinch of salt every morning.
invest in adorable accessories to make your winter outfits cuter!
use thicker body lotions to prevent skin drying out.
oil pull weekly at least.
create a winter pinterest mood board!!
paint your nails weekly, try out clear coats or winter themed colours. Or if you are an acrylics person get them done every few weeks!

if thereβs one thing i love itβs hosting! especially dinner parties with a theme meaning holiday dinner parties are my fave. this year ive already scheduled one christmas dinner party and am hoping to plan another. here are some tips focused on hosting advice, food and dr

organise early. thereβs nothing worse than wanting to host but leaving it last minute so people can't come. plan your guest list and see what dates would work best for people!
think carefully about your guest list. itβs always a good idea to either invite people who all know each other or a mix of people some who know each other and some who donβt - the last thing you want is two or three guests sitting alone!
invite for the vibe you want. the dinner im hosting is small and intimate, i donβt want it to feel frantic or overly busy so ive kept my guest list reflecting that!
make a pinterest board.
find cute diys to make. things like table decorations, guests charts etc!
set the mood! light some candles, put on some music and make sure the space is clean and organised.
create a playlist - specially for the event!
make invites to send out. this is so cute and fun! digital invites are so easy to do and so adorable as are physical ones.
plan a time you want guests to arrive by at the earliest and at the latest. e.g earliest is six so latest is seven! that way you know when would be good to serve food or start activities.
plan your menu in advance - make sure you know all your guests dietary requirements!
keep it simple with snacks. shop brought cheeses, crackers, spreads and any other kinds of elegant snacks are always delicious and so easy to make look cute on a platter. plus they save you time!
create a cocktail or mocktail for the evening!
make your dessert ahead when possible. mousses, tiramisu, cakes and anything like that are always so perfect and crowd pleasers and can be easily made ahead.
make cute menu sheets. these are so fun and pretty to look at!!
itβs better to keep your menu simple and delicious than overly complex and risk messing it up.
plan your food around a theme! for example all japanese cuisine or love themed food for valentines day.
pick some board/card games to play all together.
plan activities based around the weather. if its really cold or rainy a cute movie night might be better! whereas if its warm or sunny an outdoor dance space or sports game may be more enjoyable.
plan for a range of activities - people arent always going to be up for everything!
suggest guests bring activities. people love feeling involved and this way you can ensure an activity will be popular and fun for everyone.
look on pinterest/tiktok/instagram for suggestions. for example, hosting a powerpoint night is so so enjoyable and funny.
set the night around a themed activity - such as a murder mystery dinner party or a costume dinner party!
bring a digital camera - such a cute way of capturing the night and you can make a scrapbook or photobook afterwards.
find a craft! at the dinner party im hosting around christmas we will be decorating gingerbread houses but there are so many other ideas such as painting, candle making, journaling or decorating items.
find a cute makeup look on pinterest to fit your theme! i love a glittery fairy inspired look for christmas parties.
make sure you have an apron or that your outfit wont show any potential mess - remember you may be in and out of the kitchen!
wear something that makes you feel pretty and confident.
find an elegant way of styling your hair - a simple updo or pretty braid can make you look ready for a more dressy occasion.
commit fully to your theme/evening vibes. as the host its so important to make sure all of your guests feel like they can dress up or try something different and feel comfortable!
accessories like bows, hairclips, rings, bracelets, necklaces, hair scarfs or pretty hairties and cute shoes can really make an outfit stand out.
either have a layer on you or a layer you can easily take on and off in case the temperature changes.
make sure you plan time for a shower or bath and are able to do your fully selfcare routine! it will help you feel at peace and less stressed for the dinner ahead.

hi angels! this winter i want to perfect my morning routine. i struggle alot with sleep and energy levels, especially during the first few weeks of winter so this guide is a perfect way for me to ensure i have enough energy to get on with a busy and full day and achieve all my goals! while i cant do all of this every day what i try to do is pick a few things to prioritise daily. i hope you enjoy this and find some good routine inspo! especially if you struggle a bit with slumps during the colder months. enjoy.
wake up at 6:30 - 70:00.
open curtains and window (if not raining), let air circulate.
do a quick five or ten minute yoga/stretch routine while you watch the sunrise.
make bed (studies suggest its better to let your bed freshen with the sheets unmade first thing to stop the growth of certain bacteria etc).
dress.
clean teeth and floss.
drink glass of lemon water and salt (for natural electrolytes).
start packing lunch or snacks needed for the day.
make a cup of tea (my favourites are chai, green tea or matcha).
make breakfast (my go tos at the moment are turkey bacon and scrambled eggs, sautΓ©ed apple and yogurt or a porridge/oatmeal bowl).
clean teeth and mouthwash.
do am skincare.
style hair and jewellery.
make sure bag is fully packed.
journal for a few minutes and plan day.
read or listen to a podcast.
ensure all school work is up together/everything prepared for work.
fill up water bottle for the day.
set up room for when home, leave a cute lamp on, make sure your desk is tidy, lay out evening clothes etc.
put on motivational/winter playlist!
wake up at 8 - 8:30.
open curtains and window.
ten minute yoga/stretch routine.
tidy room and make bed.
get dressed in workout clothes.
do a five minute oil pull then clean teeth.
drink glass of lemon water with salt.
make breakfast and a tea (i normally put mine in a travel mug).
fill up water bottle.
clean teeth and am skincare.
if weather nice go on a little morning walk (half an hour to forty minutes).
journal and light a candle, plan day.
workout (i aim to workout for an hour to an hour and a half on weekends).
have a shower.
body lotions/moisturiser.
file nails.
start any work/projects needed, aim to get all finished by end of morning.
during breaks read or listen to podcast.
start weekend clean of room, change bedsheets, clean surfaces etc.
spend time with family or friends!
i want my winter mornings to be slow and mindful, focused on caring for my body and mind and doing what i can to make this time of the year easier and gentle on every part of me! there are lots of complexities within these routines so consider this a fairly basic, un-detailed guide. i might try to make a guide for any changes i make during the winter/as it gets colder if that would interest you angels? thank you for reading and have a great start to winter!

Χβ°ββ€ Take yourself on solo dates! Everybody underestimates this so much, but I promise it makes such a difference in your mood. Go to the spa or salon, take sunset walks, read at the corner cafe while enjoying a warm pastry!!
Χβ°ββ€ Start romanticising your life! Candle lit dinners with your family, spa and rest days, buying flowers or that cute dress or doing face masks while reading at night could make such a great difference!!
Χβ°ββ€ Start complimenting people more often and saying kind things to strangers!
Χβ°ββ€ Clear out your wardrobe! Find your desired style and get some cute key pieces that go well with anything. Donate old clothes that you aren't wearing anymore!
Χβ°ββ€ Of course, looks ARE NOT everything in life, but you should try to look as put together as possible in every situation. Use clothes and hairstyles that fit you well, wear perfume, jewelery and accessories, try to have well maintained nails and skin
Χβ°ββ€ Become well organised by always preparing for a situation ahead of time
Χβ°ββ€ Always experiment with cooking or baking, with your make up/hairstyle, and try out new places or hobbies too!
Χβ°ββ€ Stop worrying about other people and their opinions. Cut out all the negativity in your life, they might be ruining your progress!
Χβ°ββ€ Try to become more confident each day, being confident makes the biggest difference in your life of them all!
Χβ°ββ€ Stop being so hard on yourself! Life is not a race so please remember to enjoy every moment and take it easy and slowly. Results will not be visible immediately but change is on the way and you know it too. Good luck!! <33
