Joining in. I got king, also.

They didn't have any siren-like features, so you will have purple Lex for today.
To fill the rest of this post up, here's "king" in a couple conlangs:

I hit 40,000 words today!
I am also still chugging along and building up Taguchif's character as I go in this first draft, since she's the second least developed Hero. (The least developed Hero being the Hero of Language, Pagjom.)
I am, unfortunately, very prepared for Part Three to drag on and on for all eternity, since there's so much that needs to happen for the next really big event (that is, Lozerief returns, begging for forgiveness.) It may get to a point where I start writing backwards from that point while I trudge through the boring.
Well, I don't think it's boring, it's mostly just full of characterization of Izi and Hota that they won't get anywhere else. Not only is it for my own sake (because they're easily my favorite couple to write of my OCs: see also, Lozerief and Tev; Yessei and Stardust) but it's also for the sake of recovering from the end of Part Two.
Another fun tag game from @authorcoledipalo.
I'll use Izi, Hota, Taguchif, and Lozerief all together at the same time.
What would you do if your enemy asked for help?
Izi: Yeah okay so that happened once and I would've ground her to a pulp then and there if Hota hadn't stopped me.
Hota: Izi's too impulsive, and it can be a strength when in dire straits, but a costly mistake in other environments. I try to make up for that wherever I can.
Tagif: I'm not normally with Izi on these, but yeah. Definitely grinding Lozerief to a pulp if I ever get the chance.
Lozef: I'm not a fan of questions as broad as this, or being reminded of how I allowed myself to be used for the benefit of a literal tyrant. Obviously, I've been the enemy asking for help many times. Never have I expected any help, and yet somehow it all works out.
Would you ask your enemy for help?
Izi: Depends? Like, I asked Governor Luwbefê for help, but we didn't know how vicious he would go on to be.
Hota: No, but like Izi, I was duped into believing in the goodness of the Governor of Tolftorrijv. I was sorely mistaken.
Tagif: Yeah totally. The ends justify the means. They say that in English, right?
Lozef: Another very complicated, nuanced question. Like Hotautebz and Iziser, I didn't know President Sluwfa would be such an evil person, but I went along with her plans to remain unobtrusive. So, when she built the anti-magic bubble, I left and begged Iziser and Hotautebz to retake me.
Do you act on impulse, or do you think before you act?
Izi: Well, Hota already answered this question for me.
Hota: Yeah, I did. At least Izi's honest about it.
Tagif: Premeditated plans are the best, especially when building stuff. I'm probably more impulsive than Hota, and less impulsive than Izi.
Lozef: Hard to say. I would say I'm spontaneous but not impulsive, if that makes sense?

I keep doubting I can find nicher fandoms but here we are. does anybody want to talk about ZeWei and Laghari Portals
the man who owns and runs the thai restaurant in my town knows me by name. he is one of the kindest and most thoughtful men i know. i started ordering from his place back in january, which was when i got my fibromyalgia diagnosis. back then i was using a walker, had limited mobility in my entire body but especially my hands, and was very visibly in pain. i always ordered the same thing: yellow curry with no meat, potatoes and carrots only (i have texture and other dietary issues). he always made it a point to make sure i could get out the door and carry the food safely. he had his workers package the food so that it was easier for me to open. as i kept coming back and i told him a little bit about my health status, he would always encourage me to keep going. he told me about how the spices he used were good for inflammation and began to edit the recipe just for me so that spices that were even better for fighting inflammation were used. he’d give me extra portions and despite the fact that i would tip every time, i realized later that he never charged my card for them. as time went on and my condition began to get better, especially with the help of a physical therapist, he would make encouraging remarks and tell me how happy he was for me. the day i came in without my walker, he practically jumped for joy, and despite my insistence, he gave me my meal for free that day. i continue to make progress with my conditions and i continue to go to the thai place. this man who does not know me personally and who i hardly know anything about is one of my favorite people. it’s interactions with humans like these that make loving life easier. and his curry really does help my chronic condition. it’s comfort food taken to the next level.
Yeah ok today I couldn't help myself and I cut to the chase: introducing Taguchif, the Hero of Doom, and easily the character who would beat all the others in a full-blown battle.
(Also, I never answer it anywhere, but Zenestian surnames are always first: In, Ihine, and Eheste are the most common surnames I write about.)
19 year old Taguchif (nick. Tagif) is the Princess of Atepsi and the Sixth Hero, and therefore the last one needed to save Meiste. Due to other circumstances, her Realization isn't what sets Meiste's return to normalcy in motion. That will come later. She's Izi's sister, tech god, and explosive (in a literal sense).
She's about 5' 10", and goes around wearing her metal chestplate with gauntlets, wearing gray sweat pants and sneakers. Her midriff is usually exposed, as well as her arms up to her elbow. Her skin is darker than Izi's (whose is already pretty dark), and she has green eyes with long, wavy hair.
Taguchif and Iziser were separated once Izi was born, and Taguchif was raised with her mother in Atepsi city as an only child. She was never aware her mother, Ihine Dolgof, was the Hero of Life.
As a child, she gained a knack for working with technology, and she came up with her best invention, termed the 'technoplate.' It's a chestplate and gauntlets designed initially to harness magic, but later designed to suppress it.
Speaking of suppressing magic, Doom can be a volatile magic, and Taguchif's Realization is no different. When she turned fifteen, she started seeing signs, but it got progressively worse until her final Realization when she's with Izi and Hota.
In addition to being Hero of Doom, though, she's also the Princess of Atepsi, and a very influential figurehead, though powerless under the Atepsi Constitution.
Fire is one of the key symbols of Doom. She breathes fire out of her mouth and her eyes glow orange.
But also there's poison skin, so don't touch her unless she says it's okay.
She can also shapeshift, but it takes a lot of energy, especially to get a lot larger.
Those are the main three for now.
"Too late...you're cooked."
"Huh...nice."
"Oh! You want to hear about the holograms!" Yaps for 30 mins uninterrupted.
this is earthbound to me
A free invitation to go off on main? It's hard NOT to pass this up.
I have been dying to talk recently about Tavisam, (M.I. tavisam, W.Z. tebisam, M.O. tawisaham.)
Tavisam is a sport much like American football or rugby, although admittedly less violent. The aim is simple: carry a large ball 120 m (to your opponent's goal.) It is nearly 1,000 years old, but only in the last 100 years has it become standardized.
Modern Tavisam is played on a square field (120 m by 120 m) with fifteen players for each team, meaning each team has 30 players. The rules remain simple: carry the ball to your opponent's goal, which is a net at the other end of the field. The ball starts in the middle. Kicking, passing, rolling, and handing off the ball are all allowed.
While tackling isn't allowed, it's certainly a very physical game. It's completely allowed to take the ball from another player who's holding it. This often results in groups often all pulling on each other for the ball, especially to start the game.
To start the game, the ball is placed in the center of the field, and both teams must line up 12 m away from the ball. Once the horn (some fields still use a pistol blank) sounds, both teams race for possession of the ball.
If the ball goes out of bounds, the ball is replaced in the center, like the start of the game.
The goals at either end are 5 m tall and 15 m wide, placed due in the center.
The game can either end in a tie, win, or loss. The game ends after 120 minutes.
A foul is called at the referee's discretion. A foul is defined to be any act which could cause unnecessary harm to another player, including kicking, tackling, hitting, head-butting, or anything else which could injure another player.
Teams are allowed 2 substitutions every 30 minutes.
University of Obizoe Tavisam Team vs. U. of Ir Nouzonif Tavisam Team
Summer of 855.
Outcome: Obizoe 12 - 2 Ir Nouzonif
Notes: The first recorded game of Tavisam played between two college teams, and also the first game in the East vs. West rivalry between Ir Nouzonif and Obizoe. It's said multiple fights broke out in the spectators' stands at the neutral site, played alongside the Great Inland Lake.
U. of Ir Nouzonif vs. Ir Nouzonif State U.
Autumn of 855
Outcome: UIN 5 - 3 INSU
Notes: The first game in the Ir Nouzonif rivalry: UIN vs. INSU. After losing the first 3 goals in 15 minutes, UIN pioneered the rotating defense on the fly. INSU didn't score another goal.
U. Obizoe vs. U. Tolftorrijv
Autumn of 855
Outcome: Obizoe 15 - 1 Tolftorrijv
Notes: Obizoe dominated Tolftorrijv in their first ever, true away game. Hearing about the rotating defense at UIN, they took it one step further and perfected it. The rotating defense would go unmatched for fifty years.
Odapir U. vs. UIN
Winter of 901
Outcome: Odapir 7 - 7 UIN
Notes: Many history writers say the sport stagnated until this game, when UIN agreed to play a historic Tavisam game with OU at a neutral site in Atepsi. UIN scored the first 4 goals, hunkering down with the rotating defense. Shockingly, OU deployed their weapon: the arrow attack. Without going into too much detail, they managed to draw the defense in on itself, and then take the defense away from the goal. Odapir scored the next 5. The game ended with a mob trampling the field once time ran out and the scoreboard read 7-7. This was also the beginning of the rivalry between OU and UIN.
Ir Nouzonif Admirals vs. Tolftorrijv Palms
Spring of 905
Outcome: INA 1 - 0 TT
Notes: The only goal in this game was scored with 5 minutes remaining on the clock in Tolftorrijv. This was also the first professional game, and INA figured out how to defend against the arrow attack.
I hope this is interesting!

I'll do this with three of my main OCs: Iziser, Hotautebz, and Lozerief.
Izi: Normally, I hear the phrase as "night owl or morning star." I sleep in too late to be a morning star, though.
Hota: Izi thinks he sleeps in late? 10 AM? Rookie numbers.
Lozerief: I don't sleep. I once went a period of two weeks without sleeping before my body had enough and I slept on the floor. My sleep schedule is so irreconcilably bad that I can't, in good conscience, answer this question.
Izi: I'm lactose intolerant! I hear they make good brie in the highlands, though.
Hota: I feel bad for Izi. He's missing out on the wonders of mozzarella.
Lozerief: I grew up on a dairy farm. I had a brief stint selling cheese. I can't stand the stuff anymore-cheese, milk, butter, you name it! I guess my favorite at the time was well-aged gouda. I put my heart and soul into making gouda, let me tell you.
Izi: This question is terribly unspecific! What language? Because my favorite "normal" letter is "rr." It looks like this: 工.
Hota: Again, poor Izi doesn't know the horrors of trying to learn to write Ytos. That being said, my favorite letter is the regular "r" in Ipol, which looks like this: 口.
Lozerief: Depends on the language, mostly, and script. Like, I'm old enough to remember the Classical Zispoel abugida that Pagjom invented, like, nine hundred years ago! It's hard to choose a favorite, especially in modern Ipol, which simplified the old abugida tremendously, down into an abjad. But, "f" is my favorite letter: Π.
*Sidenote: these are relative approximations of the actual characters in the Ipol Abjad, which I may later make a post on.
I tag @theothersideofthewoods @oldfashionedidiot and @authorcoledipalo + open tag. Your questions are:
What's your favorite restaurant? If you don't have one, what's your favorite food?
How many languages do you speak? Do you speak English? How many forms of those languages do you speak?
What does magic mean for you?
