The Wilhelm's and the enemies team managed to escape, but he unfortunately didn't, and his teammates all thought he was gone. And he was stuck there for a really long time, which the toxic air caused him to go insane and made him have an imaginary "friend". He is also able to have extra boosts. Like he can run faster, climb on walls and hills like an animal, and also bend his body very easily.
