if will gets stuck in the upside down pre-timeskip he must become accustomed to surviving there, and they must show up to rescue him and find him wearing a bomber jacket he found and carrying around seventeen guns which he uses to kill monsters with terrifying efficiency and no fear. he must remain sensitive and kind and paint the inside of his makeshift shelter with paints he scavenges from houses, and there must be a tearful reunion. but it must be followed by everyone screaming in terror as a demogorgon attacks them and will just calmly shoots it and is like :| guys that was a small one literally how did you survive down here long enough to find me.
People forget Will doesn't just know how to load and hold a gun. He had it with him while he was stuck in the Upside Down for a week. I guarantee you little Will 100% shot the Demogorgon at least once.

every day i wake up and when will was attacked by a monster he got a gun to shoot it, and when mike dustin and lucas were facing a monster they said hm you know what we should do we just get a slingshot and yeet some tiny rocks at it. this is a good plan. this will work.
