Well they're programs so gender isn't real and also they're bi so it counts
Anyway I thought about this one cause there was this weird tense moment towards the end of the movie where Quorra is captured and Clu's just like, talking to her and touches her hair and it was uncomfortable but it also made me feel some type of way
Like I understand that it's 100% a power play BUT

Hi in honor of my Tron themed birthday I finally finished this. I was really reaching for some of these as you can see but I can't take it too seriously anyway. I'm always here for the gay of it all but is it homoerotic or do they just need to put more people who aren't men in this franchise? We'll literally never know! 🙃

So i have been thinking how The Grid is almost a copy of a human city, everything is made to resemble the real world but better, the buildings, the vehicles, the programs.
Everything was created the way Kevin liked it, their own leader is made at the likeness of their creator, but in Encom, there was no way i could have been like that, they didnt knew how the human world looked like, they didnt even recognized a user when they saw him, i believe that the reason why the looked like humans and not all of them actually (TRON 2.0) was because all the digitalizing and experiments that they were doing in there and that kind of apperance was more a render than the real code and that their normal form is nothing close to something human and more something to do the things they were made to do: a hacker should be elusive and able to sneak anywhere, a simulator could look something like a projector or even resembling the same machine she operates, and a firewall, a security system created to destroy a whole control program should be sharp, strong, fast and able to tear apart everything that stands in their way.

okay this one loses points because they WANTED me to ship this when we already knew Paige existed

loved her jaded perspective turning into hope before she was fridged for male pai- I mean derezzed for reasons relevant to the plot 👀 that was definitely neat

tbh she's such a cutie and deserves way better than whatever incel shit Zed has going on

7. The rebellion leader whose name escapes me (it's Bartik)
so this guy appears in legacy as the rebel leader at Castor's before getting derezzed five minutes later (shocker there)
this one just kinda leaped into my brain when I binged the show directly after watching Legacy
can you imagine inspiring someone to change sides completely and then become the leader of the very fire you sparked long after you're probably gone? Endlessly romantic.
6/10 I have yet to have a really bad ship tbh

I really do love that Beck is just the most specialest boy, he's the grid's next top model, he's batman, he's everything. Istg this is a harem anime in disguise and I ship him with everyone.
I can think of at least two programs off the top of my head that I didn't include because I forgot until now, so tell me about your rare pairs, etc. I was thinking about rating Clu's crushes that he handles in a completely normal way next but that might be too much. This is what happens when we have no new content for 10 years.
Sam offhand using, “well I’m older, so what I say goes,” during an argument and Quorra immediately disagreeing with him. Because yeah, Sam was technically “born” first and he’s older in the real world sense. But Quorra’s lived thousands of cycles on the grid, so in that sense she’s existed for longer than Sam has. They argue about it constantly, to the point that even Alan’s heard the discourse. So to shut them up one day Alan just says, “you’re twins. Now cut it out.” And it’s kind of stuck.
It became such a thing that Alan bought them ‘thing 1’ and ‘thing 2’ shirts for Christmas one year. They wore them in the Bradley family Christmas card.
And when someone at work asks Sam, “Who’s the girl?”, motioning to the picture of Quorra on his phone.
He always shrugs and says, “Oh that’s my sister. We’re twins.”
