prime: "okay, family killing time!"
do you think his expression changed here because he was surprised how easily prime dodged his weapons or because of that sentence
"okay, family killing time!"
i think it's unlikely, it's the former. Evil Morty has that quality in him: whenever something goes wrong, he's back on his feet instantly, through out this whole fight he wasn't surprised, shocked or worried once.
"okay, family killing time! let's start small, still family though."
do you think he got scared because he thought Prime is going to erase every Morty in a universe and the guy is almost unapproachable, meaning he can't do anything about it.
this moment last few seconds but
do you think Evil Morty was scared for his life, few seconds, frozen in crippling fear, that's why in the next frame...
we don't see him running after or throwing "punches" at Prime to prevent that?
hurting y'all's feeling o'clock
(found it on TikTok and had to share)
i wonder... why prime kept himself young? the concept could go well with his narcissism but if nothing doesn't matter in the end, why does he care?
loophole! I think he's not as detached as he would love us to believe. because, he cares about being superior, if he was so sure of himself he would consider himself superior either way, young or old.
also I think he likes being young, what a little diva, so obsessed with himself. gotta love him for that.
Whats the truth here, Rick?
Why do you have a two seater cruiser?? Did you make your single seater before or AFTER you met Prime? Is it even YOUR ship?
Why does your ‘old’ cruiser look newer than your current one? Why does it look like it has Prime’s design sense all over it? 🤔🤔
completely honest, I agree. prime could not come back at all and I would be fine with it (buuut that doesn't mean I wouldn't be going crazy jumping on the walls if he came back) I would love to see their back story more but I'm afraid Rick and Morty writers might not have the balls to explore it the way they explored Beth and Space Beth romance
Yeah I know everyone is focusing on the homoerotic subtext regarding Prime and Rick crossing arm wires when fighting, but I think we should also consider it might also have a utilitarian purpose.
I.e. if Prime returns, it's probably because he uploaded himself like a virus into C-137's mainframe.
If the writers choose to bring Prime back then this would be the way that makes the most sense to me. I don't like the idea that C-137 would bring him back on purpose because what would the conclusion be? Rick bringing him back to life and then killing him over and over again to give his life meaning? It would be just as pointless and empty as killing him once was.
But Prime coming back of his own violation? That would give rick all kinds of breakdowns.
Though possibly unpopular opinion: I'm fine if that was the end of Prime. He doesn't need to be brought back. There's still so much about Rick's past we don't know that can make future lore episodes compelling.
they about to get freaky

not all ships are For wanting them to be in a happy healthy relationship together. sometimes shipping two characters means you want them to be erotically obsessed with each other and become entwined in a mutually toxic love affair for a few months and then horrifically break each other's hearts and never speak again. sometimes you want them to be codependent best friends with enough repression to explode a submarine who only make out/have sex when they're at their worst. sometimes you want them to pine after each other for years, never say anything, and then die. sometimes you want them to kill each other. this, too, is shipping
so I'm was thinking, Rick Prime killed our Rick's Diane and Beth. Then erased every Diane in existence so Rick C-137 could never get her back. But Morty Prime exists, right? So Rick Prime was in a relationship maybe brief or maybe a marriage but he and Diane had a child - Beth. It could be a completely loveless relationship and he obviously couldn't give two fuck's about his Beth but the fact is still there, he murdered a mother of his child. I'm aware, I'm stating an obvious, well known facts but when you think about it hard like that, it's so dark.
I'm obsessed! OBSESSED! i need to draw toxic prime, also it's such an interesting idea and love how u build this character

Rick C-137 and Toxic Prime:
(read top down then left to right)
the prompt was "c137 and toxic prime", which at first seemed simple but then it got me thinking SO HARD about prime's personality. i went insane and had to do a character analysis, rewatching the prime episodes, even taking some inspo from other characters...
theres a lot more i have to say about toxic prime and a couple of extra drawings/planning sketches ↓
but first something silly!
I first had to think about what made prime different from other ricks, since the only example of a toxic rick we've seen from the show is our beloved c137. Prime is a narcissistic prick, what could be possibly hate about himself?
Prime is the first to witness infinity. Infinite timelines and infinite actions, driving him into a state of nihilism, being convinced that since nothing matters, he has to live as if nothing matters to him.
But unfortunately, his attachments and his spite are the underlying motives of everything hes built up, which contradicts this.
The way I tried to represent this dichotomy was with the following idea:
Inside of Prime there are a "seer" and a "doer" two wolves. Prime loves what he does and gloats in his creations, so clearly the "clean" prime would be the parts of him that build and kill, as well as the parts of him that have fun doing it. All that's left then, is his jealousy and his underlying motivations, which are his greatest weaknesses. I compared this to 'vestigial structures' which form evolutionary but serve no purpose, which is how (i think) prime would think of his emotions.
Toxic prime is still loyal to clean prime (which is what makes him different from c137 and his toxic counterpart). He's clingly and incapable because thats the role he plays in prime's mind. He craves validation and is insufferable to be around. Boundaries are a mystery to him.
I added some other physical aspects that i thought would fit this character. I think Prime would connect his regenerative properties to his emotional state as a sort of mental check, requiring him to save face and never falter in front of others, lest he want to physically fall apart. (thus toxic prime has marginally weaker regenerative properties). I also really liked the idea of prime using his cybernetics (intentionally or unintentionally) to physically cling to c137. Considering the fact that we've only seen cybernetic melding in unrickmorten, it must have been a trait of Prime to be able to do that.
yeah idk, yappathon over
"YOU'RE WELCOME, BY THE WAY!"
this sentence is sour and resentful. you can hear he's playing it cool and wants to announce that he's better than Rick b u t there's a hint of resentfulness.
they had something, he hates Rick for rejecting him and destroying it.
if the theory that rick had sort of romantic/close relationship with prime then this scene is even more fucking devestating
bringing it up bc i can
toxic old man yaoi🤤
I just think he's neat.
prime be like "tee-hee☺️"
