When talking about body preservation and mummies, people all over the world think of Egypt and the mummified bodies of Pharaohs, such as Tutankhamun. But how many know that the world’s best preserved bodies actually come from China? The Lady of Dai, otherwise known as The Diva Mummy, is a 2,100-year-old mummy from the Western Han Dynasty and the best preserved ancient human ever found. The Persian Princess or Persian Mummy is a mummy of an alleged Persian princess who surfaced in Pakistani Baluchistan in October 2000. After considerable attention and further investigation, the mummy proved to be an archaeological forgery and possibly a murder victim.

Rebeka and I have just finished our three months Erasmus internship at Typoretum in Coggeshall, England. We learned a lot about letterpress printing, the culture and the carboot sales. At Typoretum our main task was to design some pages for their wooden type specimen book, called The Cornucopia of Wooden Types.
We are very lucky to have spent 3 months with them. Thank you for their hospitality and kindness! It was a great fun!
