There is no future tense in the English language. It's literally just the present tense with a modal verb tacked on the beginning.
Big respect to the people who learned English as either a 1st or 2nd language.
I just got my diploma. I officially have a Bachelor's degree and can become an English teacher. I also received a diploma which says I'm a German teacher as well. University is done, and now off to the world of employment. 😁
Только что получила диплом. Теперь у меня официально степень бакалавра, и я могу стать учителем английского языка. Я также получила, согласно которому я ещё и являюсь учителем немецкого. С универом покончено и теперь пора в мир трудоустройства. 😁

Bathrobe if ya nasty. USA English. Honestly, I think I use mine for the purpose of a “house coat”
RB to see how others think-- also, what territory you're from and version of English you speak! (this is to settle a thing I am pondering)
Question about writing here: in my senior year of school my English teacher told my class that the word ‘get’ should never be used when writing. He said it’s a lazy word that never adds anything to the story, and that you should find a better way of explaining what you mean. I typically tend to avoid using ‘get’ as a result of what he said, but is it really that bad of a word to use?
My two favorite words of the English language: flabbergasted, and gobsmacked.
I got the Top 4.47% on this English Vocabulary test

How am I meant to focus on my English topic and not think about fanfic when it’s explaining AO3 (Assessment Objective 3)?
This is my mother fr! For example, if I say the American version of an English word, or if I ‘ma però’, or if I mix up any language/sentence structures of any of the languages she knows, she will IMMEDIATELY correct me and point out why I was wrong 🥲. Like sorry Im dyslexic while you have multiple language degrees lol.
Linguists are like vampires but instead of drinking your blood they harass you about a weird irregularity in your speech that no one else would have noticed.
First of all, you should try your best to pay attention to what is currently happening with the other person as they speak and try your best to understand by using your own definitions! Pay attention to the information, not the voice.
Personally, I would usually ask the person to clarify what they are saying so that I don't get the wrong definition. It's not wrong to ask for confirmation! :D
Also, it is not wrong to ask questions about what the other person is saying. Asking question proves that you care enough to try and understand what they are talking about, do not be shy! There is a higher chance for them to appreciate that you are trying to connect and understand them!
Thank you for listening to my little speech! Have a good day :3
