i hate when ppl act like the only reason to not like a "sad" ending is because you can't take it or whatever. personally as a tragedy enjoyer, i hate a poorly written ending. i hate an ending that is just kind of a bummer. i hate an ending that feels mean-spirited to the audience. i hate an ending that's redundant. i love a sad ending that is thematically consistent, poignant, and bespoke to the rest of its narrative.

Thinking about them again
for me snirius is strange. canon sirius does not consider snape his equal. he is furious that dumbledore trusts severus
They’re natural enemies with awful tempers, and both were emotionally dependent on their best friends—who ended up marrying each other. They both carry guilt, they’re both deeply dysfunctional adults who never really grew out of adolescence, and every time they’re together, they act like bloody children. They’re two sides of the same coin, and honestly, for anyone who loves a good enemies-to-lovers trope, it makes total sense to ship them. Especially because both characters are complex, contradictory, and have massive personalities—which makes them super fun to explore in a fic. But hey, in the end, it’s all a matter of taste, and everyone vibes with different dynamics.
Personally, what I really love are the fanarts—mostly because they’re hot as hell, and lately, they’re the only place where Sirius is actually characterised properly. Because lately sometimes the image of Sirius in fanarts seems to me cringe as hell.
