Good GOD the way you write ShikaNaru gives me SUCH brainrot. You don’t understand, I’m almost in tears THINKING about your ShikaNaru, it is So Good and I love it So Much- Any and all iterations are PEAK, it kills me.

Like, I’m pretty sure Shadows and Strength is your only Dedicated ShikaNaru AU (unless I missed one somehow-), but my go? Fuckin’ immaculate, I both live and die for Naruto getting the love he deserves and Shikamaru being Unhinged about it all. Shikamaru being so taken by the way Naruto is the Sun in all the best ways, Naruto being swept off his feet by Shikamaru being omnipresent and adoring in the way a shadow stays by your side for as long as you exist… Hhh I love them.

And there it is! This was my first time doing anything like this and honestly not only was it lots of fun, but the response was amazing! I was really surprised at how much people liked it. It’s a little late unfortunately, but that’s what I get for taking on something this big haha.

I wanted to take on this topic for week two because for a long time Stanley didn’t have anyone he could look to to protect him. The authority figures in his life treated him like garbage, and no one ever spoke on his behalf or intervened. Not even when his teacher bad mouthed him directly to his family’s face. The fact that a teacher could speak about him that way to his parents without any hesitation is horrifying. It’s no wonder Stanley has self esteem issues.

I went with the idea of using the tattoo because Ford would essentially be taking a scar that represents a particularly painful memory in their history, and turning it into a symbol of protection and family, mimicking their relationship in the show. You can’t erase the scars of your past, but you can change how you view them.

I’m thinking I might start doing more comics in the future, since I ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would. Thank you very much for reading my comic!

thinking about tarsus and the mirror universe, and wondering in what ways the events may or may not have differed between the two. how can an already nightmarish situation have been twisted even worse - and what kind of effect would that have on young james?

our jim likely came out of tarsus with an even deeper sense of compassion for his fellow man - kindness forged in fire. he’s been through such hardship and pain that all he wants to do is alleviate that in others - his idea of “let me help” perhaps being even more romantic than “i love you” being cultivated there

and what the mirror image of that must be. any sense of trust or heart mirror!kirk may have possessed as a child completely shattered - kindness quite literally starved away. he’s been through such hardship and pain, so why should everyone else get off easy?
