Cryptozoology is my favourite kind of fake science stuff. Wish there was also cryptobotany, like mothman but its just a really big fern in the middle of a field with literally nothing else around it , that spawned in the dead of night, might have killed a few people and never shows up in photos, and no one is sure its even real

The way you paint textures is mesmerizing! Its always nice to zoom in and see the little details. Also How do you achieve them?

I use a brush that does a lot of my texture work for me, because depending on how i use it it can deliver both quite smooth strokes and a pretty heavy texture:

Where this one is not enough i hop onto Splatter Tool from Kyle Webster's brush set and paint over Multiply or Overlay layers set on lower opacity:

And these too can give quite a good range to work with:

I don't use photo textures nor any other brushes, so the rest is looking at a lot of references and thinking how to apply that on things I'm painting, and then rendering. Or just slapping them all over till I feel it looks ok lol.

Here is my little Pippin & Boromir Comic about Courage!!

To give a little bit of Context, first of all I completely made this up haha I imagine this happening sometimes after setting off from Rivendell but before the Mines of Moria! So in the book after Pippin was alone in Gondor for quite some while, he felt very isolated and alone, very little and weak. (especially after being separated from Merry) and there were times where he stood at the walls of Minas Tirith and looked into the Horizon and could see that you know things are about to happen haha so i asked myself if Pippin ever thought about Boromir during that time, I always felt like that they shared a special bond. Maybe Pip reminded Boromir of Faramir especially when they were younger!

Anyways I really hope that you enjoy this little comic, it was so much fun to work on!!

i took 3 years of film classes and i still don't fucking understand how the camera obscura works. thats magic to me idc

i genuinely love that the hunger games is in katniss’s pov bc shes the one character that has no clue about whats going on, clearly does not want to be there, and shes just walking through life in a permanent state of utter confusion. and idk i really relate to that.
