Prompt #36

Prompt #36

"You know, your dad used to call me da-"

"Dumb. I used to call him dumb because he always got himself in trouble." The hero cut off the villain, glaring at him. "He's 17, for Christ's sake."

The seventeen-year-old in question just narrowed his eyes at them, secretly knowing what the villain was going to say before his dad interrupted.

Snippet #12

The hero blinked, trying to clear their vision. And, when they did, they saw the villain. Sitting tall, their arms mindlessly playing with a steel chain. The villain looked up.

“Oh, you’re awake.” The villain said, cocking their head to the right, measuring up the hero. “I thought you’d never wake up again, silly me.” They chuckled.

“Where am I?” The hero asked, perplexed. They attempted to move their head around but it hurt. Everything hurt. Moving hurt even more. They coughed a little.

“You’re…well, I can’t exactly tell you, you see. What I can tell you is that you’re safe here. With me.” The villain murmured, standing up from the chair they were sitting in and walking to the hero, who slowly awakened more and more. The villain strolled to them and sat down on the bed besides the hero.

“And, how do I know I’m safe? With you of all people?” The hero’s pained voice cut through the cold air, and the villain subtly shivered.

“I haven’t hurt you anywhere, have I?” The villain said, raising their eyebrows. The hero sat up and checked their face and body for any signs of harm. But there was nothing. Absolutely nothing. How?

“Why am I here, then? Did you kidnap me?” The hero squinted, their mouth turned into a frown.

“No, no.” The villain loudly laughed as if this was all a joke to them. “We were fighting and when I was about to strike you, you fainted on me. Literally in my arms.” They said, with a little smile.

The hero’s face went red, embarrassment coursing though their entire face. They nervously scoffed. “You’re lying.”

“I’m not. Unfortunately. I really wanted to win with that strike, but then you just went off on me.” The villain pouted, and the hero, god forbid, thought it was cute. They shook their head, this wasn’t the time. They needed to get back to their agency as soon as possible.

“Look, thank you for “saving” me. But like, I really need to go now.” The hero muttered, moving their legs to stand up. The villain protested, but they didn’t listen, and just as they stood up, they fell on the floor on their knees.

The hero frowned and then groaned, unknown weakness making them dizzy. "Did you...drug me?" They asked.

The villain came behind them and helped to get them on their feet. "No, I gave you some meds. But you're still dizzy, which means you need food and water in your system." They guided the hero to the bed again, and sat them down. "I'll be back with some food, and some water for you. Stay here. Don't move, okay?"

The hero nodded, hesitantly. They felt confused, why was the villain being so nice? Why were they helping them? All kinds of questions formed in their head but before they could ask them the villain disappeared out of the room.

Prompt #49

(Late night working)

"Do you see where I'm going with this plan?" The hero pondered, moving his hands across the laid-out map of the city.

"Yeah, definitely." The villain reacted, nodding his head. The hero frowned.

"Revise the plan for me, then." The hero emphasized, tilting his head at the villain and waiting for the answer.

The villain faltered, "I-..." How was he to say anything when he'd been doing nothing but staring at the hero for the past half an hour? He couldn't pay attention when the man sitting in front of him was dressed in a suit with his top two shirt buttons undone, revealing his collarbones. He gulped, and glanced at the hero who was waiting patiently.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention." The villain said, combing his hair. The hero stood up and walked to the kitchen to make himself a coffee. The villain did the same. He hugged the hero from behind, nuzzling his face into the other's neck. The hero visibly relaxed, as he waited for the coffee to brew.

"It's fine, I know we're both tired. It's been a long day." The hero mumbled, pouring the coffee into a Christmas-themed cup and turning to look at the villain.

“I’m still sorry though.” The villain sighed, and kissed him. The hero kissed him back, eagerly.

The coffee went unattended for the duration of the whole night, whilst the hero and the villain cuddled on the couch and slept away.

Snippet #11

The villain scanned the gadgets that were set in front of him, tucked away in glass-paneled shelves on the wall. If you knew about how they worked, you'd know that they could make a person stronger than they are by 10 times. But if you didn't, well, good luck. They could possibly explode you if you didn't use them wisely. The villain sighed, waving his hand dismissively. He needed something better than these toys.

The last time he fought with the hero, the hero had commented that 'he should just fight with some teenagers and not waste his time', he had basically told the villain that he was too strong to be fighting with him. The villain took that very personally, and here he was. He wanted to pin the hero down there and then, if it weren't for the hero's blunt remark making him retreat away. He was still embarrassed about the whole situation. How dare the hero call him 'weak'?! He scoffed quietly, shuffling his feet to his desk.

If he wanted to take down the hero, he needed something that would amplify his powers by more than 10 times. Just as he was thinking what he could do, his sidekick appeared in the doorway, grinning.

"Hey, villain." The sidekick said, coming forward and taking the seat opposite to the villain, seemingly bouncier than usual, the villain noted. "Guess what our fellow scientist is up to? Actually, don't. He's making this new tube-like machine that amplifies your power by 100 times. A hundred times, that is totally insane. Crazy." The villain's eyes widened, that was exactly what he needed. He leaned in, curious.

"That's...that's really awesome." He tried to keep the excitement out of his voice, as he continued, "Did they tell you when it's going to be ready?"

"Oh yeah, he was planning on testing it today. I wanted to volunteer but the supervillain wants me to go a mission. So I can't, how about you?" The sidekick asked, their eyes filled with unhidden eagerness. The villain smirked lightly.

"I might as well. Volunteer, I mean." The villain internally started thinking about how the hero would react if the machine really did work, and he got stronger! The hero was surely going to be surprised, hell, even scared for his life, if it comes to it. He couldn't wait to meet the other, anticipation running wild in his veins as he stood up suddenly. The sidekick glanced up at him. "I should go pay him a visit, it's been a while."

The sidekick nodded, his head bobbing up and down.

When the villain was out of the room, he jumped and fisted a punch in the air. Oh, the hero was going to love it. Or hate it, for that matter.

Prompt #58

“Were they good?” The villain asked from where they were sitting behind their desk, their legs propped up on the desk. Their eyes held a fire, and the hero swallowed painfully.

“Who?” They asked, pretending not to know who the villain was referring to. But, they knew. The villain was asking about the date they brought home last night, but they had no idea how the villain found out. They had made sure to disable the cameras located around their house before they went out. So, how? How did the villain know?

“You know who I’m referring to.” The villain said, calmly. But there was a hint of venom behind it, a possessiveness trailing along. The hero frowned, looking away. “Tell me, were they good? As good as me?”

“How did you know-” The hero began, the villain cut them off with a curt shake of their head as they took their legs off the table and stood up. The walk was slow, and deliberate, making sure to put pressure into each step as they came and stood right in front of the hero.

“I know, sweetheart. But that’s not important. I asked you a question.” The villain said, their hand twitched and they brought to the hero’s cheeks.

The hero faltered. What was happening? The villain knew and they didn’t seem to be mad, like previous times when they would lash out at the hero and tell them that they belong to them and them alone. But this? This was unexpected. They took a deep breath, and then: “No.” They answered.

And as if the villain could detect it, they spoke up: “You’re a terrible liar, darling.” They said and smiled, almost sadly. The hero raised a nervous eyebrow.

“You know…I wish you were honest with me. But, it’s okay. I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.” The villain said, their hand stoping the grazing on the hero’s cheek and falling down. They turned around and sauntered to the set of knives they had, packed away, in a glass cabinet attached to the wall. The hero took in a sharp breath, realizing what the villain was implying.

“You didn’t-” They mumbled, clenching their jaw.

“I already have. I’ll let you say goodbye to the body if you want.” The villain said, examining a knife that had hints of blood left on it, evidence that what they were saying was true. The hero stayed silent. Because that’s what they did. They couldn’t do anything, they were bound to the villain. Whether they liked it or not.

Prompt #50

"I told you not to listen to him, look where he's gotten us now, you-," The villain kept babbling on, and on. It was getting on the hero's nerves. The villain hadn't stopped talking since they were locked in this closet, and he was on the verge of snapping, and so he did.

"Shut up!" The hero half-yelled, and the villain narrowed his eyes. The hero harshly pushed him against the wall behind him. "Just shut up for once, will you?" The villain raised his hands above his head, and the hero let go.

"You didn't have to do that, you know? You could have asked me nicely." The villain muttered, a blush appearing on his cheeks, and he was glad for the darkness of the place. Glad that the hero couldn't see it.

"Sorry, I lost control." The hero said, embarrassingly. They went quiet for a moment, awkwardly standing a few feet away from each other. And then the villain spoke up, again.

"Or you could have, made me." The villain whispered, shyly. And, the hero shuffled.

"What?" The hero asked.

"You could have...made me shut up." The villain implied, and the hero's eyes widened. He raised his eyebrows.

"Did you want me to?" The hero pressed, a smirk making its way on his lips.

"Tch, you wish." The villain laughed, as he forcefully broke the door of the closet and ran. The hero cursed under his breath and ran after him.

Prompt #10

CW: PTSD episode

The hero put down the bat as they gazed at the villain. The villain shield himself, while his whole body was violently shaking. In reality, the hero had picked up the bat from a random trash can that sat in one of the dark valleys. He had not planned on hitting the villain with it, maybe, using it as a defense tool.

"Please...don't hit me. Please." He wept, his eyes slowly filling with tears. The hero backed away, confused.

"What?" He mumbled, frowning a bit to himself.

"Please, just don't hit me. I'll do what you say." The villain whispered, the words barely reaching the hero's ears. His eyes let out the water holding them. He kept whispering, 'Please'.

The hero gulped, as realization hit. The villain was having a PTSD episode. He bent down and reached for the villain's hands. The villain backed away, in fear.

"It's okay. I'm- I'm...not going to hit you. Please, look at me." The hero murmured, making sure to keep his voice gentle. The villain reluctantly lowered his hands. His face was filled with terror, and the hero wanted to caress it away.

"You're safe, okay? I'm not going to do anything to you." The hero said, his eyes filled with concern. The villain sat still, his body still shaking a bit. He needed time and space. The hero decided to give him that. And, stayed where he was.

Prompt #63

(flirty hero x oblivious villain)

“I think you should give up now, darling.” The hero mused, pressing their feet deeper on to the villain’s chest, as they lay on the ground, looking up at them with their pretty eye lashes.

The villain’s eyes flashed with anger, “No! You asshole!” They said, trying to get rid of the hero’s foot on their chest, but to no avail, the hero was too strong.

“Hmm, well. We could keep doing this all night. I have no problem, sweetheart. You know I like you.” The hero said, winking. Their foot went up to the villain’s chin, and tilted up more. “What do you say?” They asked with a grin.

The villain grunted, blushing slightly, even at the awkward angle. “Shut up. I’d rather not. Let me go.” They frowned, trying to seem serious as their hand wrapped around the hero’s foot.

Oh, and the hero liked the sight. They loved it. The villain shuffled a little, the hero smiled. “In exchange for what exactly?”

The villain stopped, giving them a glare. “In exchange for nothing, jerk. Let me go!” The villain insisted, their hands braced by themselves to hoist themself up but the hero refused it with a shake of their head.

“Not until I get something in return, sugar.” The hero says, smirking. They loosed the force with which they were pressing down the villain. The villain blushed again, perhaps at the nickname.

“W-what do you want?” The villain asked, unsure.

“Smile for me.”

“What?” The villain’s eyebrows scrunched in confusion.

“Smile for me…please?” The hero asked, again. More softly, more gently than the villain was used to.

The villain scowled, before trying to pull their lips into a smile. It was hard, they weren’t used to smiling a lot. It was easier to sneer. They smiled, somewhat unsure. Their eyes crinkled at the corners. The hero instantly took their foot back, they crouched down on their knees.

“Your smile is so pretty, you know that?” The hero asked, smiling at the villain. The villain’s smile faded, turning into a scowl again, their face going red.

“Shut up.” They said, before looking away, and because the hero’s guard was down, they made a run for their life.

The hero didn’t follow, watching them with a tilted head as they chuckled. The villain was so innocent if they thought that they would never meet again.

Prompt #22

“If only you kept your pretty little mouth shut, you wouldn’t be here.” The villain said, as they brought a cup of coffee with them from their very classy kitchen. The hero was in awe of the the villain’s house, not paying attention to what the other was even saying.

“Well, only if you knew how to shut my pretty little mouth, we would be doing something else.” The hero said, staring straight at the villain with wide eyes. They slapped their hands over their lips. They did not mean to say it out loud. Damn it. The villain froze. A slow smirk made it’s way on their face, their eyes glistening with mischief. “I-…” The hero started.

The villain came forward, and put down the cup. They sat down on the opposite couch of the living room, and chuckled. “And here I thought, you were innocent as a bunny.”

“I’m sly as a wolf.” Oh. My. God, the hero thought. He needs to stop speaking. Stop thinking. Stop breathing. Stop.

“You mean sly as a fox?” The villain asked, teasing. But, if you peeked a little closer on their face, it held a rather fond expression.

“No, I don’t like foxes.” They murmured, before they could stop himself. The villain let out a laugh. An adorable laugh. The hero found themself, smiling. And, then laughing with the villain. Delighted in the moment.

“You’re so cute, you know that, little wolfie?” The villain said, as they took a deep breath to calm themself. The hero grinned.

Idiots in love. That’s what one would call them, the hero thought.

Prompt #7

The prince gulped, as he bent on his knees in front of the villain. "What do you want?" He whispered, tears pricking out of his eyes. His family lies dead around him.

The villain smirked, "You. I want you." The prince looked up, with his lifeless eyes.

"No. Never. Just kill me, I'd rather die." The prince breathed, his voice hoarse. His throat was sore. He ached with pain.

The villain's smirk faded. He raised one of his eyebrows. "Perhaps-", He began but stopped mid-sentence, frowning at the prince.

The prince swiftly stood up, glancing around like he was trying to find something. As a matter of fact, he was. His eyes landed on his father. His father lay silent, a sword thrust through his stomach.

He walked to the body, took out the sword, and without a second thought, stabbed it in his abdomen. The villain gaped.

Blood oozed out of the prince's figure, as he collapsed onto the ground, joining his family.
