aaron also has a massive sweet tooth but unlike andrew he actually gives a shit about staying relatively healthy so he doesn't indulge it too often. but then they get drunk and order 10 pounds of personalized m&ms and argue for forty minutes about what color to get (the only thing they can agree on-- not fucking orange). aaron forgets this happened. andrew does not. when 10 pounds of personalized blue and green m&ms that all say 'fcuk ravenz' arrive at fox tower, it causes quite the uproar

what is the spear cuts through water about? great question.

your lola said it was a romance but your dad said it is NOT romance. it's about an oppressive regime and the rebellion. the moon is there and so it the water. your lola is telling you the story but you are also watching it in a theater. it's deeply upsetting but also really funny sometimes. it's about redemption and regret. it's about longing. it's also totally gay. it's written in first, second, AND third person. it's absolute chaos but also beautifully structured. 10/10 would recommend.

finally reading The Spear Cuts Through Water and it's sorta fuckign amazing wow. The only way i know how to show I really really liked a book is to make shitty memes about it but there’s something so ethereal about TSCTW that it’s lowk sorta hard…

Anyway, it's a bit funny that even though it's being told through like 4 perspectives and it reads so much like an old oral fairy tale, it still has the ragtag group of misfits traveling through the land.
