i have made the perfect older khalid in baldurs gate 3 and NO ONE CAN TELL ME OTHERWISE

We discuss how much Khalid loves his wife but let us not forget how much Jaheira loves her husband!

The necklace she’s wearing is Khalid’s gift according to the forgotten realms wiki, it’s been a bit since I’ve played siege of dragonspear so I dont remember the image of the top of my head, all I know is I love it and I always put it on jaheira as soon as I get it

Also! @githyankidanky has altered my brain chemistry and I now must include Khalid’s ear clip because I love their HC that it’s a common practice in Calimport considering how classist the society is. Like it makes complete sense to me that since the indentured servant class isn’t meant to get out of that class the upper classes would make sure that they could always be identified at a glance even if they were all dressed up or something. Also a good character design element that provokes thinking

Thinking about SoD rn, and how big of an impact it probably had on Khalid. I like to imagine it was such a big step forward for his confidence in being put in a leader position.

Like, he went from 'never wanting to lead ever due to anxiety in a leader role' to 'would probably prefer not to but would be happy to step in if needed'

And I think the 'if needed' would become alot more frequent as time passed.

Too bad he dies in bg2, imagine how he could be in bg3, so much more confident in his abilities, so much more willing to lead alongside Jaheira instead of stepping back at letting her do things.

[quiet squeeing] This is some next level romancey stuff. I love it. Caden is absolutely eating this up; given his line he’s clearly had his own share of pining– maybe after some visitors that came in to Candlekeep now and again, seeming all sophisticated and worldly.

(…He’s absolutely going to do this when Aerie comes around at first in BGII; he’s used to being the kind of sheltered country boy when beautiful ladies come around, doesn’t actually have any experience except for flirting briefly with the werewolf lady in BGI. And when he meets Aerie – since evidently she’s dropdead gorgeous – he’s gonna be a little slackjawed and believe there’s no way he could have a chance. And it’s going to be ADORABLE. *excited bouncing*)

But omg I’m just picturing this scene and Jaheira being all gruff as Khalid comes bursting in and then admitting she feels the same way…ja;sldfjaposdfjpoajdfa.
