are we seriously just gonna let the exact reason factual_fantasy doesn’t make octonauts content anymore happen to everyone. It’s just so easy to respect boundaries and not repost art it’s insane that some people still struggle with the concept.

I can’t believe I have to make a post like this, it makes my heart hurt. I feel sick just thinking about this.

Guys I have a Business Account on Pinterest, I chose not to post my own art on Pinterest as to focus on my writing. This is NOT okay. My watermark is on every one of my pieces, and if it’s not there is always a signature and my art insignia.

This is not to attack the reposter account but to bring awareness. (They didn’t even have the decency to link my blog in the site option and I can no longer report them because the post has been taken down.)

I have reported it but I know it will continue to happen again and again. Really all I can do as a content creator is put my watermark — Tell you my boundaries — and report it.

To our younger community friends I know there are a lot of things you’re still learning about content creating and just the internet in general. I want you to know, in no way shape or form, is this okay (I’m using myself as an example for awareness I’m not attacking anyone here).

I work very hard to make these pieces, and even harder trying to put together posts so others can appreciate them. This is disrespectful to other creators, this is disrespectful to me.

Do not do this.

That being said I will not accept any redraws of my art unless you are given permission.

I will not accept any videos or edits, unless there is permission.

I will not accept any comic dubs unless there is permission.

That goes with anything else, if I do not give my consent you will be reported and blocked. That is final.

I am not gate-keeping my ideas, I am protecting my art. I’m a very nice person, I pride myself on my kind heart because I know what it’s like to not have kindness show to them. But I have my limits. This is my limit.

I am happy to share and let you even borrow my ideas, I love inspiring people because people inspire me. But do not disrespect me because I will do what I have to, to be heard as a creator.

I am extremely hurt by this. I have always sympathized for artists who had their work stolen, and now I can finally say it’s happened to me. This is theft in every sense of the word.

Here’s the start of a fun little Octonauts AU inspired by @elmushterri ‘s latest video on YouTube!

Just wanted to make a fun what-if the Octonauts were humans and they were actively doing everything in order to save the ocean from an actively dying planet (unfortunately the concepts not very new to our world :/)

I thought I’d make Dashi, Peso and Shellington newer characters to the crew who had been added years after a previous ‘failed’ crew, with only the Captain, Inkling, Tweak, and Kwazii being the ones who had survived the ‘accident.’ And maybe story-wise, it’d take a while for the older crew to get used to and befriend the newer recruits.

Who knows where this’ll go in the end. Just wanted to have some fun! Especially since Octonauts is from my childhood when I was just a lil sprout ^^.

Maybe it would be a bit more sci-fi with the Vegimals being robots and the world in a much more significant decline, so bad in fact that land is starting to become less and less habitable.
