Woodland Demars One Shot | Jealous

You have been working for Hi5 Studios as a production assistant in Battle Universe for 3 month when you realize that you never really spoke about yourself much when conversing with the rest of your colleagues. You were close to Cat, Sam, Woods, Pat, and Tanner but you just never were really able to hang out much with them outside office hours. You were always pretty much busy pursuing your passion of dancing.

This coming weekend you finally got noticed by your dance team’s coach and choreographer and decided to choose you as one of the dancers to be filmed and posted on Youtube. Friday came and you were visibly excited and during the Battle Universe shoot, everyone asked you about why you were walking with a leap in your step.

“Y/N, are you okay? You’ve been kind of been bouncing around the whole day?” Sam asked as you gave her her mic pack.

Everyone present in the battle space for the shoot looked over to hear you respond. You felt yourself blush as you answered, “Well, something exciting is happening tomorrow and I guess, I just...heh am too excited?”

“Oooooh, is Y/N going on a date with someone?” Hannah teased.

You laughed and waved her off. “Oh my gosh, I wish? But nah, just a project I’ve been dreaming of finally coming true.”

“That’s great! Buuuut now we’ve got to start filming,” Cj said as he got his mic pack from you.

The rest of your work day flew by quickly with you trying to keep your excitement down. Though you knew it wasn’t really working because Woods kept teasing you relentlessly.

“You’re definitely like an energized bunny today, Y/N.” Woods said multiple times today. You would always blush but roll your eyes at him and walk away with a ton of butterflies fluttering in your stomach.

Woods was always someone who made you feel a little tingly and weak because he just seemed like to most ideal man.

He immediately had caught your eye the moment you started working at Hi5 but you knew that it was impossible for him to ever look at you as someone who he could possibly date because he just seemed too perfect.

“Good bye, Y/N,” Woods greeted as you were clocking out. You waved at him and drove home with a huge grin on your face.

Saturday came and you finally got to dance for the dance team’s Youtube channel. The shoot went smoothly because your partner for the dance was someone who you had always viewed as an older brother. After all, you and him had been in the dance team for while, with that, the video displayed the good chemistry you had.

After the shoot, the team said that the video was to be posted come Monday at around 1pm. At first, you were just really excited until Monday came and you realized that the video will be launched while you were at the office.

‘Oh god, they might find my dancing terrible or something,’ you thought to yourself as you imagined scenarios of you watching the video and someone walking in on you watching it.

Come Monday, you were a little jumpy with anxiousness and excitement. Since you shared an office with Cj, Pat, Hannah, and Woods, they all noticed and were a bit worried for you.

“Hey, Y/N. Are you okay? You look a little...off,” Cj, your boss asked.

You jumped a little bit and waved him off.

“I’m fine, just... well, I...”

You started stammering when you realized that all your officemates were listening in on the conversation.

You heaved out a big sigh.

“I guess I’m just really nervous to see the output of the project I had over the weekend. It’s gonna be released at 1pm and yeah.”

“Oooh! Right! You never told us what project it is though,” Pat said.

“Well, I guess it’s ‘cause I never told you guys about my dancing?” You said with a wince.

“That’s cool though! I also dance, but well, I’m sure you know that,” Hannah cheered.

“Could we watch the output later?” Woods asked.

“I guess...but please don’t judge me because it was my first time ever to be picked to be a part of a dance video.”

1pm came and they all huddled around your computer to watch the launch of the video.

“Oh my god. You guys were so adorable,” Hannah cooed as you guys finished watching the video.

“Is he your boyfriend?” Woods suddenly asks.

You laughed and shook your head.

“He’s like an older brother to me.”

As you answered, you notice Pat nudging Woods while raising his eyebrows at him.

You looked at them curiously but Cj spoke.

“Your chemistry with him was super great though.”

You just laughed and said, “Well, thank you...but we should all probably get back to work.”

Everyone agreed and went back to their own tables but Woods just stood closer to you.

He clears his throat which makes you look at him.

“Uh...nevermind.”

He quickly goes back to his table and shoves his headphones over his ears while he avoids your gaze.

You look at him with a confused look on your face and continue working on some thumbnails.

Just as you were about to clock out when the day ended, Woods goes up to you and asks if he can speak with you privately for a minute.

You agreed as you felt butterflies in your stomach, nervous because you didn’t know why he had to speak with you privately.

You always felt a little awkward around him when it was only you two because he always just made you flustered.

Woods clears his throat to get your attention once you reached the back door of the office.

“Uh, well...after watching your dance video earlier, I had to say something,” Woods says as his eyes avoid your gaze.

Your brows furrowed as his statement left you confused. Say something about how I danced?

“I really loved the video...but I couldn’t help but...and I know I’m not in the position to say this but I really envied your partner,” he says as he finally meets your haze.

“Oh...you mean...” you trailed off.

“I mean that I wish that it was me you were dancing with and smiling at that way.”

Your heart started to beat faster as you started to catch on.

“So...now, I’d like to ask you out on a date because I don’t think I can stand seeing you to be with someone else.”

Heat rose up to your cheeks as you fought a fond smile off your face.

“I’d love to go out on a date with you,” you said as best as you could without sounding too eager.

A huge grin lit up his face as you reached up and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

This has got to be the best part of being a part of that dance video, you thought to yourself as you went towards your car with a huge, excited smile on your face.

You burst into Max's office, a whirlwind of apologies and self-recrimination ready to tumble out of your mouth. You'd planned for a tough conversation, a verbal lashing, maybe even a resignation letter slapped on his desk. But the scene that greets you is far from the anticipated storm.

Max isn't a raging bull, red-faced and furious. Instead, he's leaning back in his chair, a smirk playing on his lips, and the sound of his laughter echoes through the room. It's a rich, genuine sound that you haven't heard from him before, and it throws you completely off balance.

"I can't believe you actually did it," he manages to say between chuckles, shaking his head in amusement. "You actually posted that photo."

You stand frozen, your carefully rehearsed apologies dissolving on your tongue. "You're not… mad?" you stammer, your voice barely above a whisper.

He shrugs, still fighting back a grin. "At first, I was. But then…" He trails off, tapping his phone screen and turning it towards you.

Your stomach clenches as you see the offending photo – the one of him mid-sneeze, looking like he'd just been startled by a ghost – plastered across his Instagram feed. But then you notice the caption: "Thanks to my amazing PR team for capturing my best side. 😂 #SneezyMax #Blessed."

Below the photo, a torrent of comments has erupted. You scroll through them, your initial horror giving way to surprised laughter. The internet has, as it often does, taken your epic PR fail and turned it into a meme-worthy masterpiece.

Daniel Ricciardo: "Mate, you look like you just smelled a dirty diaper! 😂"

Charles Leclerc: "This is my new phone wallpaper. Merci, Y/n!"

Lando Norris: "Sneezy Max is my new favorite superhero. 🤧💪"

George Russell: "I'm framing this and putting it in my living room."

Lewis Hamilton: "This is the best thing I've seen all week. 😂"

Pierre Gasly: "I knew I should have taken that photo when I had the chance!"

Even your own colleagues have joined in on the fun.

Sergio Perez: "Hey Max, next time you sneeze, try to aim it at Hamilton! 😉"

Christian Horner: "Y/n, you're a legend. 😂 (But please don't do it again.)"

You're laughing so hard tears prick your eyes. You can't believe that this PR disaster has turned into a viral sensation.

"I guess I shouldn't be surprised," Max says, his grin widening. "You always did have a terrible sense of humor."

You manage a sheepish smile. "I thought it was funny."

"It was," he admits, his eyes twinkling. "But I'm still going to get you back for this. Just so you know, this isn't over."

The playful threat hangs in the air, a silent agreement that this is far from the end of your unexpected feud.

The following weeks see a noticeable shift in your dynamic with Max. The icy glares melt into amused smirks, the sarcastic jabs morph into playful banter. You find yourself looking forward to your meetings, even the ones where he inevitably grumbles about the "stupid PR stuff" you make him do. You start noticing things you hadn't before – the way his eyes crinkle when he genuinely smiles, the surprisingly deep dimples that appear when he laughs, the way his voice softens when he talks about his family.

One afternoon, he surprises you by inviting you to join him in the paddock during a practice session.

"Come on," he says, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I'll introduce you to the guys. They're dying to meet the person who turned me into a meme."

You hesitate, a flicker of nervousness in your chest. "Are you sure that's a good idea?"

He shrugs, a playful smirk on his lips. "Why not? It'll be fun. Besides," he adds, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, "they won't stop asking about you."

Intrigued, you follow him into the bustling heart of the Formula 1 world. The paddock is a sensory overload – the roar of engines, the smell of burnt rubber, the sight of mechanics swarming around cars like worker bees.

Max leads you through the maze of garages, introducing you to the other drivers with a casual ease that surprises you. Daniel Ricciardo greets you with a bone-crushing hug and a booming "G'day, mate!" Charles Leclerc, with his charming accent and impeccable manners, compliments your "excellent taste in humor." Lando Norris, ever the prankster, tries to take a selfie with you and Max, only to have Max swat his phone away with a playful scowl.

"Don't you have a simulator to be messing around with?" Max grumbles, earning a chorus of laughter from the other drivers.

As you navigate the paddock, you notice the curious glances and whispered comments. You can't help but feel a sense of pride. You've not only tamed the beast, but you've also earned the respect of his peers.

Later that evening, as you're reviewing some social media analytics, Max walks into your office.

"Hey," he says, leaning against the doorframe. "I just wanted to say thanks."

You look up, surprised. "For what?"

"For everything," he says, a rare sincerity in his voice. "For putting up with me, for making me look good, for… well, for being you."

He hesitates, then adds, "You know, you're not so bad for a PR person."

You laugh, a genuine warmth spreading through you. "And you're not so bad for a driver."

He smirks. "I know."

He turns to leave, then pauses. "Oh, and one more thing," he says, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I'm still going to get you back for that photo."

You smile, a playful challenge in your voice. "I'd expect nothing less."

As he walks away, you can't help but feel a flutter in your stomach. You're not sure what the future holds for you and Max, but you know one thing for sure: this is just the beginning of a very interesting ride.

Lando dating a princess for a while and they love each other alot and when it's brought to Landos attention by a friend like an off hand comment about how if he married into the family he might not be able to be an f1 driver, he panics. Because he loves f1 and loves his princess girlfriend as well. And when he brings it up to her reader says she can talk to her dad, but a few days later lando is still panicking and he says hurtful things about how he can't give up his biggest dream for her. So the reader breaks up with him and tells him he doesn't have to worry about it anymore. And Lando feels awful and to make it worse he gets a letter from her actual father saying how if they did ever marry that he can continue his career and that he's happy his daughter is happy with him and that he makes her happy. And it makes Lando resize the huge mistake he made and goes and wins his girl back. 💕

The table erupted in laughter, but Lando froze. The thought hadn’t occurred to him.

“You’re joking, right?” he said, forcing a laugh.

“Maybe,” Max replied with a shrug. “But royal life has its rules, mate. They probably wouldn’t want you risking your neck in a car every weekend.”

Lando’s stomach twisted uncomfortably.

That night, he couldn’t stop thinking about it. Would he really have to give up racing? Could he? Racing wasn’t just his career—it was his identity, his purpose. But then there was you, the woman he loved more than he thought possible. The idea of losing you was just as unbearable.

By the time he brought it up to you a few days later, the doubt had consumed him.

But even your reassurance didn’t settle him.

Over the next few days, Lando spiraled. The idea of choosing between the two things he loved most—racing and you—consumed him. And when he finally couldn’t hold it in any longer, the conversation turned sour.

“I can’t do this,” he blurted one evening as you stood in the kitchen.

You blinked, startled. “Do what?”

“This… us,” he said, his voice shaking. “If being with you means giving up racing, I can’t do it. I can’t give up my dream for you.”

His words felt like a slap.

“I never asked you to,” you replied quietly, your voice trembling.

“I messed up,” he said, his voice cracking. “I was scared and stupid, and I hurt you. I should have trusted you, trusted us. You mean everything to me, and I’ll do whatever it takes to fix this.”

Tears filled your eyes, but this time, they weren’t from pain.

“I got a letter from your dad,” he continued, pulling it out of his pocket. “He said I could keep racing. I didn’t have to choose. But even if I did… I should have chosen you. I’m so sorry.”

For a moment, you just stared at him. Then, slowly, a small smile broke through your tears.

“Do you mean it?” you whispered.

“With everything I am,” he said.

And when you pulled him into a tight embrace, he knew he had finally crossed the finish line of the most important race of his life.

Months later, Lando stood on the podium, another trophy in hand. But as he looked out into the crowd, his eyes found you—his princess, the love of his life—cheering louder than anyone.

He had his dream, his career, and his girl. And for the first time, everything felt truly perfect.
