A/N: Hello everyone! Can't believe @wolfwrenweek is over already! For my final story this year, I have a roommate AU where Sabine finds a stray kitten. It's very fun, and I hope you'll all enjoy it! Here is the beginning and the link to the rest of the story will be at the end!
Shin started watching TV just as the rain started falling. As she was immersed in the plot of the show, she did not notice the sky blackening to the point that the apartment was plunged in darkness. She heard the rain pick up in intensity, but did not see the flashes of thunder outside, as they merged with the bright glow of the TV.
The apartment door opened and she jumped. It took her a second to catch her breath. The familiar voice of her roommate made her feel like an idiot for having been spooked in the first place.
“What the hell is going on with this weather? Is it some kind of tropical storm sweeping north?”
Shin could not see Sabine in the hall, but she did not pay her any mind. It was rather typical of them to have short, meaningless conversations. Shin had moved into Sabine’s apartment six months ago now, but she had warned her ahead of time that she liked to do things her way, and she wasn’t much for conversation. At the time, Sabine had told her it would be fine, yet still she attempted to make conversation very often.
Shin would not have paid her any more attention, in fact, if Sabine didn’t turn on the living room light, blinding Shin. She blinked and squinted at her roommate.
“Could you not?”
“Sorry.”
Sabine turned to go into her bedroom when Shin noticed that something was off. There was an unnatural budge in her sweater. The material was straining against her chest, which never happened because Sabine’s chest wasn’t that big – not that Shin had spent any time thinking about her chest at all – and she was keeping a hand on it. She was hiding something.
“Sabine? What’s that in your sweater?”
Sabine stopped dead in her tracks. She kept her back to Shin.
“Nothing, don’t worry about it.”
“I’m not an idiot.”
Sabine sighed, and turned around. Indeed, she was cradling something through her sweater.
“So… how do you feel about cats?” she asked.
A/N: Hello everyone! I've just begun posting a new multi-chapter fic. It's based on the romance between Obi-Wan and Satine, but this time it's Shin and Sabine. I hope you'll enjoy it :) Here is the beginning and if you want to read the whole thing, the link will be at the end!
Shin could count how many times she’d left Coruscant on one hand. This would be her sixth times, officially calling for the use of a second hand to count. They were bound for Mandalore. She sat in the co-pilot seat, watching the stars flash around them, boxing their small ship into a tunnel of light. Baylan sat on the other side of the cockpit, his gaze not on the galaxy around them but on his padawan.
“What is the title given to the leader of Madalore?”
Shin had to tear her eyes away from the lights. She looked back at her master, then her gaze fell to the ground as she searched her memory. She’d been given a crash course on Mandalorian politics by the librarian before leaving, but it had been pretty late at night and she had fallen asleep on her desk four times in an hour.
“The Mandalore?”
“Mand’alor. It has been a long time since the Mandalorians have chosen a Mand’alor, hence yet another civil war.”
“Master, if this is the third civil war in as many generations, what can we truly do to help them?”
Baylan sighed. Shin knew her master wasn’t entirely thrill by their assignment, but it had been too long since he had been given any mission, and the Council knew that. Whatever the case may be, Shin was determined to make the most of the assignment.
“We will do what the Council has asked of us. We will protect the Countess Wren for as long as is required.”
The ship let out a beep, indicating they would soon exit hyperspace. Baylan turned his attention back to the controls and Shin imitated him. While her master wasn’t thrilled about joining a civil war, Shin wasn’t thrilled about their target. She imagined the Countess to be like all the politicians in Coruscant, probably old and full of ideas that would be impossible to execute even in the best of times. The kind of politicians who practiced their cordial smiles in the mirror every morning. This Countess was apparently the Mandalorians’ greatest chance at peace. Shin couldn’t quite believe that.

I hope Beatrice is the one who goes into the other world to rescue Ava in season 3, it would make a nice reference to/inversion of The Divine Comedy in which Dante followed his Beatrice into the afterlife.
A/N: Hello everyone! I just posted a new Wolfwren fic about Shin and Sabine having a little "friendly" speeder bike race. Here is a little excerpt and if you want to read the rest of the story the link will be at the end!
Shin knocked back her drink and searched the bar for the clock over the shelves of bottles. It wasn’t too late yet; they might just get another drink before going home. Before she could wave at the bartender, Ezra asked:
“How about you guys? What’s going on?”
“Tracking down more former Empire scum, as usual,” Sabine said with a sigh. “We were on Eadu hunting a bunch of Empire scavengers. The base was pretty big. A Speeder bike chase might have happened. Shin crashed hers against a shuttle.”
Shin straightened at the mention of her name, then frowned.
“On purpose,” she added. “To stop them from taking off.”
Sabine finished her glass with a smile.
“Of course, you did.”
That wasn’t the answer Shin had expected.
“You think I don’t know how to drive a Speeder bike?”
“That’s not what I said.”
“I bet I’m even a better driver than you.”

A/N: Hello everyone! Here is a new addition to the Ahsoka season 2 and Beyond series, about a mission gone wrong and featuring a special guest! Here is an extract and you can find the link to the first part of two at the end!
When darkness fell over the city, Shin left their hotel room and took a turn of the neighborhood. Sabine was on the rooftop of their hotel to watch the sky. The second moon was on the rise already. If their intel were correct, then the cargo would leave the city when the third moon rose. That mysterious cargo had been tracked by New Republic spies over multiple planets. It was changed location often. Hera suspected their owner was onto them and wouldn’t bring it home. She was done playing games. She wanted the cargo taken and its smugglers captured. If it contained weapons, just as she suspected, it might take them one step closer to dismantling another remnant of the Empire.
Shin kept her hood up as she slithered through the crowd. Workers enjoying a drink after a hard day in the mines. Regulars already half a drink away from sleep. Young people going to the neon bathed clubs. She walked past them like a ghost, gaze scanning for anything suspicious. So far, nothing. She walked toward the shipyard, where small shuttles were being refurbished for new service.
“No sign of trouble yet,” she said.
“Want to get a drink afterward?” Sabine suggested.
“Mission first.”
“Of course. We can celebrate after.”
Sabine’s voice was low. It sent shivers to the base of Shin’s spine, unravelling her focus.
“After,” Shin replied, like a promise.
She heard the faint sound of a grappling firing and knew Sabine had changed location, moving closer to the shipyard. The rest of the crowd was none the wiser. Ahead, someone inserted coins into a music box and drumbeats flooded the street. Shin walked past and down a set of stairs. The shipyard was in sight.
“I see something,” Sabine said.
Shin stopped around a dim corner, the streetlight above pale with age.
“Define something.”
“Movement.”
Shin pushed herself away from the wall and walked faster toward the shipyard. Music lingered behind her. Now that the workday was over, the path to the shipyard was empty.
“This isn’t good.”
Shin picked up speed.
“What are you seeing?”
“They’re moving the cargo already. Toward a small ship. I thought the third moon didn’t rise for another hour.”

A/N: Hello everyone! I'm back after last week break with a Wolfwren vampire story! Fair warning it's a little bloody (and a little sexy). Here is the beginning and if you want to read the rest of the first chapter, the link will be at the end! Enjoy!
When Sabine had decided to change career, she really could have picked anything. But because she liked to make herself suffer, she became a nurse. And because she was so tightly wound with self-control, she became a nurse at the emergency services.
Working the night shift meant that she saw less kids who broke their legs falling off a trampoline and more people caught in drunk driving accidents and high as hell teenagers convinced they could jump from the roof and into the pool. In the early hours of the evening, she might see the tail end of people who had come to the ER in the afternoon, but by two in the morning, she was just waiting for the next car accident victims to roll in.
Her coworkers had gone to get a coffee while the room was relatively quiet. Sabine had declined the coffee, as usual. The other nurses usually made fun of her, telling her then she might be young now but give it a few years and she would be running through the night shift on coffee just like them. Jokes on them, Sabine was definitely older than them.
The call came through from one of the ambulances, and Sabine picked up since she was the only one at the nurse’s station.
“Emergency?”
“We have another one for you. ETA 2 minutes.”
“Car crash?”
“Pedestrian.”
Sabine expected the worse when pedestrians were hit by cars. A lot of blood, usually.
“We’ll be ready.”
She hung up and jumped into action. She rushed out of the ER, grabbing a gurney on the way there. She pushed it out and arrived outside just as the ambulance pulled out, lights blinking hard into the moonless night. The EMTs at the back pushed the door open so hard that it snapped against the truck. They transferred the patient from one gurney to the other. Sabine pushed the gurney back inside, helped by one of the EMTs.
“Pressure is 125 over 75. She’s lost a lot of blood.”
“What happened?”
“She got hit by a car while crossing, but the car had just been stopped at a red light.”
Sabine looked down at the woman whose broken arm was clutched against her chest. She had lost consciousness already. She had to focus to understand what she was looking at. The blood, as always, called all of her attention. All she saw, for a second, was red. Her throat began to itch. It was only through years of practice that she managed to push it all aside and see past the blood. Her radius was broken, the bone protruding through the skin like a shard of bloodied stone. She had a wound on the shoulder that required stitching as it leaked blood fast. The rest were superficial nips.
“She was wounded already before the car?” Sabine deduced from the severity of the wounds and the EMT’s explanation.
“The driver said he saw her stumble in front of him but he couldn’t tell if she was bleeding or not.”
“We’ll take it from here.”
A/N: Hey guys! Here’s an extract from my new Ruby/Christina one-shot, set in 1954 in Hollywood! If you’re interested, the link to the full story is at the end!
Ruby wouldn't say that she hated her job. It was a job, after all, it paid the bills, and she'd fought very hard to get it. But doing the hair and make-up of actresses all day long wasn't why she'd moved to LA for. She didn't complain, on the principle that they could fire her without a second thought if they heard her, but it didn't make her any happier, and every passing day brought more regrets than the day before, to the point of nausea.
That day, they were auditioning actresses for a big shot director's next big movie. Ruby was waiting for the next when she overheard a conversation between the director and his producer. Apparently, he already had his pick for the role, but Mr. Warner had insisted they hold auditions anyway because the actress was too old for the role. Ruby pretended she hadn't heard anything, and suppressed an eye roll. This entire audition process and the day was a waste of everyone's time and money.
The next actress stepped into the studio wearing a simple old-fashioned dress which looked like it didn't belong on the young woman at all. She had beautiful blonde hair, long, and piercing blue eyes. She sat in the chair in front of the mirror beside Ruby. Her eyes were transfixed on Ruby, paying close attention to what she was doing. Ruby brushed her hair per the instructions she'd been given. It was the role of a young woman in a small town before the First World War. She tried to get rid of the bounce at the end of the woman's locks, but they refused to relent as if the woman's natural glamour just wouldn't dissipate.
As she worked, she felt the woman's eyes still on her. She stared with something in her eyes Ruby couldn't quite understand. Once Ruby had done her hair, she picked up the makeup pencil. Before she got to work, however, the woman asked quietly:
"Could you say light on the makeup? I'm already on a disadvantage enough as it is..."
Ruby looked at the woman's reflection. She was the most gorgeous woman who'd come to audition this afternoon, that was for sure. Ruby almost wanted to tell her not to waste her time with it, that it was already decided, but instead, she nodded.
"Yes, ma'am."
She passed foundation over her face quickly. The girl's sky blue eyes finally shut, and Ruby felt she could breathe better. Once she was done, she shut the makeup palette. The girl's eyes opened and she inspected herself in the mirror but a second, before her eyes settled on Ruby's reflection.
"This is probably as good as it's going to get," the blonde said. "Thank you."
She stood up, the heavy wooden chair grinding against the concrete ground. She walked away with a sway in her step, even though she wasn't wearing high heels. She went to introduce herself to the director and the producers. It was only when she saw her from afar that Ruby thought she recognized the woman. She'd debuted the year before in a vampire movie, where she'd played the titular vampire. Leti had recommended it to her, but then again Leti had strange tastes in horror movies. It wasn't that Ruby hadn't liked the movie. But it had been quite uncomfortable to watch the whole room cheering for the death of the vampire at the hand of the hero.

A/N: Hello everyone! I know I'm already posting a multichapter fic, but how about another one at the same time? This one is inspired by the show High Fidelity, in which Sabine and Shin are exes. It is 100% Wolfwren though, so don't worry ;) Here an extract and if you want to read the whole chapter the link will be at the end.
Ezra looks around the gallery. Yeah, it’s empty. Like I hadn’t notice. But it doesn’t matter if the place has white walls and all the light you would want, rich people have no interest in the art I’m selling. It’s too rebellious for them.
“Can I do anything to help?”
I sigh.
“You can sit by the door and pretend to be a security guard.”
“Awesome! I can do that.”
He’ll be on his phone as soon as he finishes his coffee. It means I’m free to start mulling over my exes again.
There are good ideas, and then there are bad ideas, and then there are terrible ideas. And then, there are ideas that suck so bad they might as well be black holes. Dating Leia was one of those ideas. Because we all knew, myself included, that she had this thing going on with Han, but they kept breaking up and getting back together, and I thought there wouldn’t be anything wrong if I inserted myself in the middle. I was wrong. Black hole idea.
Rey was too good for me, let’s face it. There’s a moment where, no matter how angry or bitter you are about your ex, you have to recognize the truth. I’m not delusional, just sour. Rey was too good for me. There, I admitted it. But Shin…
I can forget the others. Not forgive them, but forget them, sure. Or, at least I could when I was with Shin. We were together for three years, before she dumped me. A year later, and it still stings like a slap. She just up and left, threw three years of our life together down the drain because her father convinced her to. Her father convinced her to leave me and she did, and I didn’t even try to stop her. Rey may have been too good for me but I was too good for Shin. I realize that now. That’s why I’m planning my two hundredth painting on the theme of betrayal. Because I’m over it.
I write. You read. We're all happy :) | AO3 : https://archiveofourown.org/users/WhiteravenGreywolf
