Say I decided to post the next chapter of Here I Am, Next to You (You Pull at my Seams) on Wednesday instead of waiting until Saturday:
A/N: Here’s an extract from my first AHS fanfiction, I’ll put a link to the whole thing at the bottom!
All the candles had been lit. They'd spent the afternoon in the greenhouse getting everything they needed for the ritual. Cordelia placed the last bluish egg at the edge of the black sand circle. Then, she looked up at Misty. Her wife was seated at the edge of their bed, her arms crossed, holding her shawl wrapped around her. Her eyes were focused on the circle they had drawn on the ground.
"Having second thoughts?" Cordelia asked softly.
Misty was quick to detach her eyes from the ground and look at her wife.
"Course not. It's just... what if it doesn't work? What if I mess something up and..."
Cordelia crossed the room quickly and sat on the bed beside her wife, wrapping her arms around her.
"You are not going to mess anything up."
The ritual needed two witches to work, now she knew, and she was certain that they could do it. She did not have a shadow of a doubt that together, they would be strong enough to create life.
"And if it doesn't work, well it's alright. We'll just go see a doctor."
"Yeah, but it won't be the same. I want her to be the perfect mix of us."
Cordelia smiled and pressed a kiss on Misty's temple.
"Me too."
They remained there, in each other's arms, for a while longer. Cordelia was the first to pull away, with somewhat difficulty. She asked:
"Are you ready?"
Misty took a deep breath and let her shawl fall off her shoulders, and onto the bed. She stood up, determined, and said:
"Alright, let's put a baby in me."

Hey everyone! As promised I have returned with the beginning of the other half of my Priory of the Orange Tree AU! Here’s the beginning of the new chapter and the link to the whole thing is at the end!
They had sailed past the Quarl Bay and left its golden shores earlier in the week. With every passing day the boat circled away from Carscaro, around the Albatross Point and toward the Swan Strait. With every passing day Ava's spirit seem to improve. Soon they would be out of sight of Yscalin entirely, and Beatrice suspected she might be back to her usual self by then.
Their days on the boat had not been spent idly. Neither Beatrice nor Camila had relented their training of Ava – though Camila had had to stop her archery training after Ava had almost stabbed one of the sailors with an arrow. The sight of Ava fighting Beatrice and Beatrice pushing her back at every turn had become quite usual on the ship, to the point that no one even batted an eye when Ava was thrown on the deck. Neither did Ava care either.
Beatrice threw her off with ease and she landed on the wood hard, the air being thrown out of her body. A moment later, the halo healed whatever bruise would have formed. She waited until its light had receded to sit up. Beatrice stood above her still, arms still up as if she expected Ava to attack her right away. Ava was too out of breath. She would rather sit there and look up at her protector, a single strand of hair falling out of her serious bun and on the side of her face, forehead gleaming under the sunlight. She looked expectedly down at her, brown eyes hard to decipher.
“Break,” Ava called, finally.
Beatrice relaxed, her entire frame sinking an inch, though she remained straight as an arrow.
“Wasn't your last break ten minutes ago?”
“Actually,” Camila pipped up from her seat in the shadow of the mast, “it was two hours ago, give or take.”
She glanced back at the sun, hand over her eyes, then gave a nod. Beatrice held out her hand to help Ava up. Ava accepted it gratefully, and pushed herself back up.
“Your stamina has improved significantly,” Beatrice commented.
“Is that a compliment?” Ava replied, a pleased smile on her lips.
“It's a fact. Now if your fighting capabilities could only match your enthusiasm, I would feel more at ease with our arrival in Brygstad next week.”

Hey everyone! Merry Christmas! As a gift to this beautiful fandom I wrote this very fluffy fanction. Here’s an extract and if you’re interested, you can follow the link at the end for the full story!
The market was so crowded Ava could barely see what each little wooden house had to offer. She could smell the mulled wine and waffles and gingerbread every time they came close to a food stand, but otherwise she couldn't tell those who sold jewelry from those who sold paintings. Thankfully, she had taken Mary and Lilith with her. They were tall enough to see the stalls and had no problem pushing people aside to help Ava through.
“Look, this one is pretty,” Mary said, pointing to one of the paintings hung inside the cabin. “She could hang it in her office.”
Ava hummed as she thought.
“I'm not sure...”
Beside them, Lilith rolled her eyes.
“Shall we put it on the list then? With the dozen other ideas you're not sure on?”
Mary clicked her tongue and slapped her arm.
“Be nice.”
“If Ava wanted me to be nice, she wouldn't have brought me out here when there's a crowd and I'm freezing without even buying me alcohol. Ava brought me to be honest and push people aside.”
She turned to Ava.
“Beatrice doesn't need a painting for Christmas. She doesn't need a new fountain pen or a cute frog kettle.”
Ava whined.
“But I don't know what she needs.”
“You're her girlfriend. That is literally your job.”
Mary glared at Lilith, wrapping her arm around Ava's shoulders to pull her away.
“Don't listen to her. Beatrice doesn't need anything because she's happy, and that's all your doing. It doesn't matter what you get her for Christmas, she will like it.”
“No, this has to be perfect. It's our first Christmas together, just the two of us. I will never be able to rival the kind of gifts her parents gave her.”
Mary shook her gently as if it would bring her bubbly disposition back.
“And you don't have to. Her parents were just trying to buy her forgiveness. You have nothing to worry about. Whatever you get her, I promise you, she will be pleased.”
“Oh look,” Lilith said, prompting Ava to stop and turn, and Mary to follow her.
She was pointing toward a small stall stuck between a wooden cabin and reindeers made out of light. It was protected from the cold only by a plastic roof on metal legs. Two large cages had been set up at the front, and puppies were playing inside. The shelter workers stood around them, chatting up the parents of children who had also spotted the puppies.
It wasn't long before Ava had pushed through the crowd and stopped in front of the puppy pens, her hand reaching out and retracting in hesitation. One of the puppy reached up and licked her hand and she giggled. Mary and Lilith caught up a moment later, just as Ava had began to pet a chubby white puppy.
“Beatrice would hate me if I brought one home,” she said with disappointment.
“Who doesn't like a surprised puppy?” Lilith replied, her voice dripping with irony.
“I hate to agree with Lilith, but for once she's right. I don't think Beatrice would appreciate if you came back with a puppy.”
Ava pouted, but stood out of her crouch with a sigh of resignation.
“Back to searching, I guess.”

A/N: Hey guys! Here’s an extract from my new Ruby/Christina story, in which Leti has mysteriously disappeared and it’s up to Ruby with the help of her ex Christina to find her. If you’re interested, the link to the first chapter is at the bottom!
"They couldn't find her."
Ruby clicked her tongue. This was the opposite of what she'd wanted to hear. Marvin continued:
"They found her car, but apparently there was nothing inside that could help them locate her. And Ruby... They're calling off the search."
"Like Hell they are! It's their job!"
"It's been over a week, Ruby. They have nothing, and it's a heavily inhabited area. If she'd come out of the forest someone would have seen her. They've searched every inch of it."
Ruby listened to what her brother had to say, but it didn't mean she liked any of it.
"They didn't search every inch of the place, because if they had, they would have found her! What if she's trapped under rubble or something?"
"She didn't have any supplies with her. If she got trapped under something... after a week..."
"Don't say it."
"Ruby..."
"Fine! If they won't find her then I will."
She hung up on her brother before she could get any angrier. She wanted to throw her phone away but she refrained, instead she sighed, willing the fury out of her lungs.
Leti had disappeared a week ago. She was in Massachusetts, taking pictures of the nature around Mount Everett for a magazine. There was nothing out of the ordinary about that. She'd been there for a few days, walking up and down the many open trails, taking pictures. And then, she'd stopped replying to Ruby's messages, hadn't answered any calls. Her phone was found in her car, the car parked in the bushes at the foot of the mountain. Her camera was missing. She was missing. And the police were calling off the search.
Ruby began pacing around her apartment. She would not give up on her sister like that. The mere thought of Leti struggling under a falling rock, fighting to get out, calling for help but being unheard... Ruby couldn't stand it. She could not and would not stand here and wait until her little sister's body was recovered. She would find her before it was too late.
She went to her bedroom and began packing a bag. She was already thinking about what would be the faster way to get to Massachusetts. The bus would be longer but cheaper. She would take the bus then, and walk to the top of Mount Everett and back a hundred times if she had to. Until she found Leti, alive. Once she'd packed the clothes she thought she would need, she went looking for the shoebox under her bed, where she kept her emergency money. It was an old habit she'd gotten from her mom. The box contained some four hundred dollars, and she packed it all. She paused when she noticed the picture hidden underneath. She hadn't seen this photo in a long time. It had been taken a few years old, by Leti, during a music festival. In the photo, Ruby was smiling, looking at the band playing on stage, while her ex kissed her cheek.
Ruby felt her heart clench. It felt as though this picture had been taken in another life. She closed off the box and shoved it back under her bed. As she stood up and stuffed the wad of bills in her suitcase, a little insidious voice whispered in her mind 'Christina could help'. Ruby shushed the little voice. Christina could not help because Christina was too busy. She was always too busy. Too busy for Ruby anyway. Why else would they have broken up? But Christina grew up in Massachusetts, she had an influence there, people that might help find Leti. Ruby wanted to scream. How was it that the only person who could help her was the only person whom she didn't want to see?
She swallowed and felt her throat was constricted tighter than she'd thought. Too many conflicting emotions were going on in her mind. For Leti, she decided, she could swallow her pride. She could ask Christina for help. However, she didn't promise that she wouldn't break something if the blonde refused to help.
