Hey everyone! Part 2/2 of my Avatrice fic in Space is out! Here’s an extract and if you want to read the whole thing I have a link to both parts below!
Ava spent the rest of the trip in the cockpit, as far away from Beatrice as she could. She picked up a book and tried to read, but her mind kept wandering back to the woman who had somehow broken her heart even as they had only spent one night together. Perhaps not her heart. Perhaps only a chunk of it, that hopeful, silly romantic chunk who would have launched a thousand ships to find her again. She was on the other side of the door, and Ava was resigned to the fact that neither a thousand, nor a million ship could bring her back to her.
Nueva Madrid was a colony on a rocky, jungle-field planet called Leon B. The city jutted from between the cliffs, while the train hung on the side of a ravine, taking passengers to the planet's other colonies. The astroport was a belt of concrete on top of a cliff overlooking the city. A giant elevator connected the two, perpetually ascending and descending the rough brown stone.
Ava picked up her headphones once more and called the control tower.
“Control, this is the Archangel. Code number FN-1203-22. We require a landing spot in astroport 3.”
She waited a moment, her nail tapping against the stick. They didn't usually take so long to answer. She was about to ask again when her headphones finally came to life.
“This is control. Sorry for the delay. We're kinda full at 3, do you mind taking a cargo spot?”
Ava shrugged.
“Nope. I'll take it.”
She wasn't about to stay anyway. She would drop them off, clean that stupid sharpy mark on the front of her ship, then get off the planet. The more distance she put between Beatrice and herself, the better.
The cargo spot she had been given was at the bottom of the ring, rather than on the ring itself. There, the space had been separated into eight parking spots for the bigger cargo ships. Her small ship was a waste of space, but at least she had no trouble landing. She turned off the engine then sighed.
“Should I see our guests out?” Michael asked.
“No, I'll take care of it.”
She stood out of her seat and straightened the collar of her jacket. In the living room, the OCS members were waiting for her by the airlock.
“Well, it was fun, but I need my payment now.”
Lilith frowned.
“I thought you had agreed to a favor. That's what Mary said.”
“Yeah, but I need a token. Something to prove you guys owe me.”
Ava could see the muscles of Lilith's jaw working. Before she could come up with anything, Beatrice pulled a dagger from her chest plate, and set it on the table.
“It's marked. They will know who gave it to you.”
“Thank you.”
Ava opened the airlock and led the little group out of the ship.
“Thank you for traveling with Air Ava. We don't take complaints and if anything is missing from my ship I will find you.”

The people have spoken!
I need help for my next fic: In your opinion, if Shin had been a formally trained Jedi, would her lightsaber had been green (mastery over the Force) or blue (exceptional aptitude in combat)?
I got tagged by @balancingtheforce to answer some questions so before I forget to do it, let's answer some questions!
QUESTIONS FOR 15 PALS!
ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? Not my first name but my second and third name I owe to two of my great grandmothers.
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED? End of August, when I moved into residence for university. I multitasked crying and emptying my suitcase XD
DO YOU HAVE KIDS? Nope. I don't really want one, and after working at an elementary school for a year, I want them even less!
WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/ HAVE YOU PLAYED? As a kid I had to try everything, so I've done a lot of different sports! My favorites is basketball.
DO YOU USE SARCASM? Any occasion that I have ;)
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE? I'm not sure how to explain this but vibes I guess? A lot of people when we start talking I get friendly or neutral vibes but a very few I'll get bad vibes so I stay a bit weary of them. They usually turn out to be shit people. I can't explain how it works, but it hasn't let me down so far.
WHAT’S YOUR EYE COLOR? Green.
SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS? My master's degree's title was "Feminine representation in Post-modern slasher movies of the 2010s" Make of that what you will...
ANY TALENTS? Beside writing, I picked up crochet pretty quickly and I make killer cookies :)
WHERE WERE YOU BORN? Aix-en-Provence, in the south of France, near Marseille.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES? Crochet, video games, and reading. I don't consider writing a hobby, it's my work even if I havent been payed for it yet.
DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS? Two cats, Arya and Beala. They're both calico cats. Arya is 7, she's a princess. Beala is almost a year old and she's a gremlin.
HOW TALL ARE YOU? 1m60.
FAVORITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL? Literature has always been my favorite subject, first in French and then in English. Second to that is History.
DREAM JOB? Writer, pretty obviously. I'd love to just create stories, not just write books but maybe also one day work on movies and tv shows and video games.
Okay, now I need to tag people to keep the train going. You can answer if you want, I won't curse you if you don't ;)

How was tagging people was the most stressful part of this! Anyway, have a good week everyone!
A/N: Hello everyone! Happy 1 year anniversary to the Ahsoka series and Wolfwren! For those of you who read my kidfic last month, here is the first of a few very anticipated sequels! Here is an extract and if you want to read the whole story, the link will be at the end!
"The other two bedrooms are here and here.”
Uschi looked within the first one, then the second one. It was this one that caught her attention. It was just as empty and white as the other rooms, but there was something about the size and shape of it that she liked. The windows gave onto the street, rather than the courtyard.
She went to one of the windows and opened the binds to look outside. The street wasn’t too crowded, and the few people who walked by and spotted her smiled at her.
“What do you think?”
Uschi turned away from the window. While Sabine was stuck listening to Treshock’s meandering explanations, Shin had remained behind. She was standing in the doorway of the room, watching Uschi with a smile.
“Can this be my room?” Uschi asked.
“I think so. It depends on whether Sabine likes it too.”
“Do you like it?”
Shin shrugged.
“It’s been a very long time since I’ve had a house. I don’t know what makes a good house.”
Uschi pondered the question.
“It has bedrooms for everyone.”
“That’s true.”
“And there’s a big kitchen. And maybe we can buy a long sofa for the living room so we can all sit together.”
“I think that’s a great idea.”
As they walked back up the stairs, Uschi continued to explain what made this house great.
“All the walls are white so we can paint them however we want. And I saw a noodle bar down the street on our way here, so it’s not very far if we want to get noodles.”
“If we want to.”
At the top of the stairs, they had lost sight of Sabine and the real estate agent.
“Buir?” Uschi called.
“Up there,” Sabine replied, as her voice carried down a narrow staircase tugged against the wall.
I’m printing this tweet and putting it on my desk
pssst do it. write the oceans 8 au.
Honestly I posted that idea on a whim while rewatching Ocean's 8 and I did not expect to see so many people showing interest in that AU. But the people have spoken! Now I have no other choice but to consider it. I think I will queue it up after what I'm currently working on. I'd say don't expect it until April at the earliest.
Silva's 8 and the heist to steal Adriel's crown of thorns is gonna cook in my mind for a month and we'll see what I can do with it!
A/N: Hey guys! Here is an extract of the story I wrote for the winner of my bid for the MTH 2020 charity auction! It’s a lot of family fluff as Maria and Carol take Monica to Disneyworld for the first time. If you want to read the whole story the link is at the end!
Maria spotted the miraculously empty bench and Monica mustered all the energy she had left to run to it. Soon enough, her parents caught up. Carol was carrying a small collection of shopping bags. She tugged them between her feet as she sat down. Monica was sandwiched between her moms. Cinderella castle rose over them on the other side of the circular plaza. Now that the night had fallen, it was illuminated by powerful projectors, so that even the blue rooftops and golden spirals were visible as if it were the middle of the day.
The whole plaza was lit by streetlights. However, despite the intense lights around her, Monica yawned. She rubbed her eyes and rested her head against Maria's shoulder.
"Don't fall asleep before the fireworks, Lieutenant Trouble," Carol said.
"It's fine, we have plenty of time. She can take a little nap."
In no time at all, Monica was asleep. People began to crowd the plaza in preparation for the light show and fireworks. Carol checked her phone. They still had a good hour to wait. Maria was holding onto her daughter. Carol slid just a bit closer, careful not to crush Monica between them, and placed one arm over the backrest of the bench. She could feel the warmth of Maria's arm against her hand.
"We're going to be eating nothing but potatoes for the rest of the year, but it would have been so worth it," Carol said with a smile.
Maria brushed a strand of curly hair away from Monica's face.
"She's going to run us ragged. We're here all week and I'm already tired."
"To be fair, the first's day is always the most exciting."
Maria glanced at her in disbelief and Carol shrugged.
"If you want to take a day off at the spa, I can handle her."
"Even if she wants to go on 'It's a small world' again?" Maria asked with a chuckle.
Carol shuddered.
"I'll do my best..."
More and more people settled on the sidewalk and in any available spot to wait. Many were families just like them, with one or more children either too excited to fall asleep or struggling to remain awake. Carol checked the time again on her phone and eventually, she decided to check the pictures she'd taken during the day. She almost had the wind knocked out of her by the number of pictures alone.
"Thank God I remembered to empty my phone before we left. It's just the first day and I already have over a hundred pictures!"
Maria leaned a bit closer, mindful of the sleeping eight-year-old against her.
"Let me see."
Carol selected the oldest picture she'd taken, one of Monica posing beside the huge statue of Ariel at their hotel.
"That's one a keeper alright."
