If I may ask the artist a question (I love your blog and art by the way, it's reignited my interest for my own WoF AU), how do you draw their feet?? I am hard struggling trying to draw the talons for my dragon OCs again and I can't seem to figure out the basic shapes for their toes and talons. Do you have any advice? Perhaps a visual example?

anyways! little secret is I started off as a big time warrior cats fan so my beginnings are cat. This fell over into my wof art as many of my dragons have paws. Id say its a little less "paw like" now but still thinking of them like paws makes it much easier

my tutorial is probably not the greatest but if I can give any tips its to remeber to break down talons into simple shapes. Need a sharper look? Go for more squares or triangles. Softer or heavier? Ovals n circles. Its easy to get overwhelmed thinking of details like scales before even placing down the shape of the talon

if you need references I highly recommend big cats! or if your feeling adventurous any animal with a paw or claw. Have fun experimenting with what feels and looks right to you!

He works to be your weirdest boss so when you go out into the world no wacky villain will phase you. Evil laugh? Heard it. Odd outfit? I've seen an old weevil dude in a black skin tight suit this is nothing. Will critique how you email? Already happened. Overall he's my goofy guy

I honestly enjoy this dude and his character. I feel like he deserved some more understanding as if im remembering correctly (ignore me if im wrong im wanting to re read the books as it has been a while) dragons in the books always just saw him as this sad guy who was hopeless about everything. but like?? how would you feel if you had powers that slowly made you go mad as you use them and all these stories of animus's going wild and killing others after loosing their souls. I know I would feel hopeless and scared. Stonemover cursing himself to turn to stone was something he did so hed never hurt any dragons and in a way its one of the more noble animus enchantments. (which isnt like amazing but compared to some others its tame) that being said I can see the point that at some point you need to live your life and not be so worried about what might happen but still. idk lol I just think hes a fun character to examine.

I finished up the lineart, this gal is part of a fantribe but shes gonna be deep in my lore. I have my space worldlore and im wanting to make some stories in a fantasy medieval like world like what 6 year old me wanted lmao. It might also be because i wanna make dragon ocs unrelated to wings of fire as im not into the books as much anymore

Anyways Balalaika , which is a traditional Russian instrament and is similar to the russian words babble or jabber, is a dragon who lives in the great mountains and is full of knowledge. She is also very lavish and loves treasure. She is easily bribbed. she is one of the more powerful dragons of this world. hope you like Balalaika!

anyways heres my oc! Sour gummy worm cookie. Shes got some wyvern/dragon in her cause I enjoy dragons a lot tee hee. A trickster and lover of gold, shes oblivious to the dangers of the world and just has fun.

Just going wild. I wanna like make lore with a setting in one of these but I have zero ideas and can't stop Just thinking about how much I love these forests.

How quick I would live in a cabin on a lake in these forests with the weirdest cabin decor. I hate leaving to go back to the flat midwest 😭💀
