You know what I think is really cool about language (English in this case)? It’s the way you can express “I don’t know” without opening your mouth. All you have to do is hum a low note, a high note, then another lower note. The same goes for yes and no. Does anyone know what this is called?

Ford has been buried in research for days, barely taking a moment to rest. You’ve noticed the strain in his eyes and the weariness in his posture, so you decide it’s time to take care of him for a change.

One morning, while he’s still lost in his work, you quietly slip into the kitchen and start cooking up his favorite breakfast. You make sure to include all the little things he loves—crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, and a perfectly (okay, slightly burnt) brewed cup of coffee.

Once everything is ready, you carry the tray up to his study. Gently knocking on the door, you peek inside and see him hunched over his desk, deep in thought. His face lights up with surprise when he sees you standing there, holding a tray of food.

“Thought you could use a break,” you say with a smile, setting the tray down in front of him.

Ford looks at the meal, then back at you, his expression softening as he realizes how much effort you’ve put into this. “You didn’t have to do this,” he says, his voice touched with genuine appreciation.

“I wanted to,” you reply, pulling up a chair beside him. “You’ve been working so hard. It’s time someone took care of you for a change.”

As he takes a bite, you can see the tension slowly melt away from his shoulders. He leans back in his chair, finally allowing himself to relax, and gives you a grateful smile. “This is exactly what I needed,” he admits, reaching out to take your hand, placing a gentle kiss on the back of it. “Thank you.”

You spend the rest of the morning together, the stress of his work fading into the background as you chat, (kiss), laugh, and enjoy each other’s company.

By the time he’s finished eating, Ford looks at you with a warmth that makes your heart swell. “You always know how to make everything better,” he says softly, pulling you into a gentle embrace. (I JUST WANNA BE HIS LIL HOUSEWIFE IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR??)

every once in a while you need to eat something yummy. or go on a walk. or a trip to the zoo. take a hot shower. cry your eyes out. dance. listen to music. draw for way to long. write. laugh. sit in a cafe with a friend. paint your nails. dye your hair. go on a run. pet a cat

sometimes you need to do things that are cathartic or make yourself feel alive. sometimes you need the reminder of why you’re fighting so hard to stay alive

this is your reminder that just because it makes your symptoms worse, it isn’t always the wrong thing to do. there can be value in these actions
