Cultural Dark Academia
After my last post about the lack of representation in academia, I felt it neccessary to provide some examples of what I’m talking about. Obviously there are more countries in the world than I can list and provide books for, so for a quick list this is what I got. !! Keep researching !! If you have any more books by POC please reply them !! If a country isn’t listed, that doesn’t mean it’s not important, this is just what I could get together real quick. If I made any mistakes, please let me know, we’re all learning. We need to help each other end eurocentrism in academia, so value representation and educate yourselves 💓💓💓

sending my love and support to everyone currently impacted by the adhd medication shortage.
please know that you are allowed to need extra support if you're struggling without meds
and that there's nothing wrong with you for finding them helpful.
not being able to function in certain ways without them doesn't make you any less worthy of anything.
you are trying your best with what you have, please be kind to yourself and allow yourself to be proud of your achievements, even if they're different to how they would be with meds.
if you're used to doing things with your meds, having to spend time adjusting to not having them is difficult, there's nothing wrong with you for finding that.
I hope you know that you are not alone and can be proud of yourself for how you've managed so far <3
Day 71/100 days of productivity ☕️🌙
Today went well! I met up with my friend at the park and I had a really great time. I also tidied my room, worked out and overall had a really productive day. So far I’ve stuck with my new bullet journal and I’m super proud of it, even if it is quite a simple design. ☺️💫
17th July - What is the most important task that you need to complete this summer?
I think it’ll be preparing for sixth form! Normally we’d have had an introductory week at the end of term but due to corona we’ve been left to ourselves aha, so this summer I’ll be getting everything ready and double checking I have everything I need! ☺️💫

17.06 // a nice cafe for planning trips, a good good night having fast food and overly sugary drinks, belting at noraebang (one of these days we'll get industry baby right). nothing is scarier than long distance banking from abroad.
to whoever is reading this:
i wish you restful nights, productive mornings, sunshine, smiles from strangers, happy surprises, the fulfillment of your dreams and wishes, good grades, clear skin, great memories, the kind of happiness that fills all the little cracks in your heart and soul and heals all of your wounds, love, the resolution of your problems, that your fears evaporate like rain on a hot summer day, peace, and everything good in this world✨
