belle grins as she stands in her and jamie's shared bathroom in philadelphia, her camera propped up on the rectangular jewelry box resting in the middle of the two sinks.

"welcome to jamie and i's bathroom. today is. . . ," she trails off, picking her phone off the counter to check the date, "december seventeenth. so, jamie and i have been married for six months, and i think i may be pregnant. i've had pregnancy scares before, but i feel different this time."

"it is super early in the morning, jamie is at the gym with carter and cam so i thought it would be the perfect time to take a pregnancy test." she holds the wrapped test up for the camera to catch it. "i'm gonna pee on this stick and i'll be right back."

"okay, that's done." belle caps the last pregnancy test and sits it back down on the bathroom counter, "i'm really freaking nervous. jamie and i haven't really been trying for babies, but we also haven't done anything to prevent babies from happening. either way, we'll both be excited and happy."

"jack will probably be the most excited out of my brothers, and most likely will throw himself a party. he's always asking me when i'm making him an uncle and i'm sure he has a bet going on with trevor." belle nervously fidgets as she tries to think of anything to keep her mind from wondering. "why did i think this was a good thing to do on my own?"

moments later, the timer that she has set up goes off and she picks the first test up, her jaw dropping as she takes in the small 'pregnant' on the small screen, "holy fucking shit."

flipping the other test over, she jumps in place as they also read 'pregnant', and she holds them up for the camera to see them, "holy shit, i'm pregnant! i'm fucking pregnant! i wanna call my mom but at the same time i want to keep this between jamie and i until i can at least go to the doctor and confirm that i am a hundred precent pregnant."

"jamie should be home in a little bit so the next time you see us, we'll be telling him that he's going to be a dad! okay, i need to calm my nerves down."

the camera view now shows jamie scrolling through his phone on the couch, freshly showered from his morning at the gym with a few of the Flyer's players and with no mind that he was being recorded.

a sigh leaves his lips as he locks his phone, laying it on his leg and throwing his head down onto the back of the couch, "baby! come sit with me on the couch! we can watch a movie!"

a angelic giggle rings through the room before belle moves into the view of the camera, a view of the three pregnancy test tucked away in the pack pocket of her blue jean shorts. "hi."

jamie smiles widely, leaning over to kiss her softly, "hi."

"okay, i know we promised to not be those kinds of couples, but i got you a present for six months of being married." belle smiles warmly at her husband as her hand moves to the back of his neck, gently scratching at his scalp.

"hmm, that feels nice." jamie's eyes slip close for a few second before he opens them back up, turning his head to look over at his wife with a stern expression on his face, "what did i say about just buying me shit? it's my job to surprise you with stuff, not the other way around."

"this is a good surprise, i promise. now, close your eyes and hold your hands out."

"baby, i swear, if this is another one of your tiktok pranks, i'm sleeping on the couch for a week." jamie sighs before doing as she says.

belle takes the test out of her back pocket and places them on his hands, "okay. open."

"holy shit! no fucking way!" jamie jumps up from the couch, pregnancy test hitting the floor as he jumps around, "no fucking way!"

the blonde watches her husband run around their living room before he rushes back over to pick the best up from the floor, his eyes closing over as he made sure he was actually seeing what he was seeing.

"baby, holy shit." jamie sits on his knees in front of belle, forehead resting on her legs as he took the moment in, "you're pregnant. baby, you're fucking pregnant."

"i'm pregnant." she runs her fingers through his hair as tears fill her eyes, one falling from her eye as she blinked. "we'll, it says that i am, but i'm not a hundred percent sold. i made an appointment for the doctor for thursday."

jamie nods, lifting his head up from her knees and bringing his hand up to wipe the tears away from her eyes, leaning forward to kiss her on the lips a few times, i love you's between each one. "i love you."

"i love you."

the video ends with a silent moment between belle and jamie, their foreheads pressed together before the screen goes black and the worlds, "baby drysdale coming 2026" appearing on the screen.

୨୧ Wrenlee was born October 14, 1999, alongside her twin brother Quinn Hughes, in Orlando, Florida to their parents Ellen and Jim Hughes.

୨୧ When the twins were born, they already had a close connection so when they weren't being held close to each other, they would cry until they were next to each other once again.

୨୧ Being the only girl out of the four siblings, her brothers were always super protective of Wrenlee — even Jack & Luke who were younger than her.

୨୧ Just like her brothers, Wrenlee was always on the ice when she first started walking, but she didn't want to always be on the ice.

୨୧ When she was six, she decided that she wanted to learn how to play the piano, so Jim and Ellen got her into piano lessons, which later turned into wanting to play more instruments, which then lead to singing lessons.

୨୧ Wrenlee can play piano, drums, trumpet, guitar, violin, cello, electric guitar, bass guitar & she sings really well.

୨୧ She started posting video's online when she was thirteen which was mostly hockey vlogs of her brothers, videos of the four siblings skating on frozen ponds and that moved onto just random videos.

୨୧ Wrenlee posted her first video of her singing online when she was fourteen, which gained a lot of attention to her.

୨୧ Wrenlee went to UMICH right next to her twin brother, but just a year later she transferred to UC Berkeley where she majored in music, film & photography.

୨୧ There, she met her best friend, Dylan Richardson, and they stuck to each other like glue.

୨୧ Wrenlee and Quinn never got out of their phase of being heartbroken when the other wasn't close, to the move from Michigan to California really took a toll on the twins for the longest time.

୨୧ Luke was named after Wrenlee when he was born because when Ellen was pregnant with him, Wrenlee was obsessed with her mother and baby brother, which was still a thing when he was born.

୨୧ After Luke was born and no one could find Wrenlee, she wasn't too far behind wherever Luke was, even taking naps right outside of his crib to watch over "her baby".

୨୧ Even though Quinn and Wrenlee are twins, their personalities are the complete opposite of each other. When Quinn is quiet and keeps to himself, Wrenlee is very outgoing and never meets a stranger.

୨୧ In 2018, when Quinn got drafted to the Canucks, Wrenlee decided that it was time to move back home to be closer to her twin brother and her family.

୨୧ She finished college at UMICH.

୨୧ She moved to Vancouver in 2020 after finishing school where she and Quinn lived in an apartment together.

୨୧ When Luke is drafted for the Devils, Wrenlee gets a split jersey to represent all three of her brothers whenever they play against each other.

⋆.˚ ★ — WRENLEE & AUSTON .ᐟ

୨୧ In September of 2020, she was offered a job to be in charge of the Social Media pages for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

୨୧ She moved to Toronto from Vancouver which put even more distance between her and Quinn.

୨୧ Dylan moved to Toronto a few months later, him moving in to Wrenlee's apartment.

୨୧ Mitch is the first person from the team that she met & he tried his very best for the younger girl to fit in with the team and some of the teams girlfriends.

୨୧ With her friendship with Mitch, Wrenlee also got really close to his girlfriend Stephanie LaChance.

୨୧ Auston & Wrenlee first met during her first day as a media girl/photographer when she asked them Monday's question.

୨୧ Instantly, Auston was head over heals for the Hughes girl when he noticed how bright her smile was.

୨୧ Auston & Wrenlee both had feelings for each other but never did anything on their own, scared it would ruin everything. There was also a policy that the social media girls and players couldn't date that was in the way.

୨୧ For seven months, the two of them really tried to play off their feelings for each other but one night at a bar after a home game for the team, lines blurred & the two ended up sleeping together.

୨୧ Deciding to no longer deny their feelings for each other anymore after that night, Wrenlee & Auston went to the team managers to tell them about their relationship.

୨୧ They had to keep their relationship and their jobs separate which wasn't really hard for the two of them.

୨୧ Nobody knew about their relationship besides Quinn, Mitch, Steph, and a few of the other players that they were closest to.

୨୧ It isn't until the summer of 2021 when she's home with her family that she tells the rest of them that she's dating Auston.

୨୧ Jack & Luke are confused because Wrenlee swore she would never date a hockey player while Ellen & Jim are just happy that their daughter is happy & that Auston treats her well.

୨୧ The summer of 2022, Auston goes with her to the lakehouse for the first time since they started dating.

୨୧ Wrenlee gets Auston's jersey number tattooed on her hipbone.

୨୧ Auston asks her to move in with him March of 2022.

୨୧ They get engaged Christmas of 2023 & are married in the summer of 2024.

❝Delilah! Are you riding with us to the game with us? We gotta go now!” Jack calls out to his little sister who was back in Jersey for the weekend to watch him and Luke against the Blackhawks.

“No! Curtis’ wife is gonna pick me up!” She calls through the door of the bathroom where she was still getting ready.

“Okay! Be careful, love you!

“Love you!”

“So, whose jersey are you wearing tonight?” Tate smirks through the face time call the two girls were on.

Delilah playfully rolls her eyes, “I’m wearing Luke’s. They would both kill me if I wore a Blackhawks.”

“Ten bucks, you meet Connor and fall in love.”

“Shut up!” The two girls laugh before Delilah has to hang up.

“Shit, how do I always end up fucking lost?” Delilah mumbles to herself as she walks around the arena, having gone to the bathroom. “Next time, I’m dragging Luke off the ice.”

A chuckle rings out from behind the twenty year old, causing her to turn around the find a player from the Blackhawks.

“Holy shit, dude! You’re Connor Bedard!” Delilah’s eyes grow wide, “Sorry!”

He laughs, a blush faintly appearing on his face, “No, no, it’s okay. I just don’t expect anyone to know who I am. I mean, you’re Delilah!”

“Fuck, you know who I am?” She raised an eyebrow as Connor stares into her bright blue eyes.

“Of course I know who you are! Everybody should!” Connor grinned, “But your going the wrong way if your looking for the seats, it’s the other way.”

“Thank you! Have a good game!” Delilah calls over her shoulder as she rushes in the right direction.

“Nice going, Connor. Celebrity crush right in front of you and you don’t even get her number.” Connor mumbles to himself as he heads to the locker room to get ready, “Dumbass, really.”

Delilah stands next to the Wags and girlfriends of her brother’s teammates, waiting for the two to come out so they could get dinner and go back to the apartment.

“Lilah, we’re having a girls day this weekend, are you in Jersey long enough to come?” Curtis wife turns to the younger girl with a warm smile.

“I can adjust my schedule, I’m supposed to be in Nashville by Tuesday next week to write with a singer that wanted to duet.”

“Okay, just get Jack to text Cu—,”

“Delilah, hey.” Connor rushes towards the singer, out of breath from running so that she didn’t leave before he saw her again. “Hey.”

“Hey.” She giggled, hand instantly going to mess with the ends of her hair, the wags standing next to her smirking at each other at the sight.

“Hey, I was, uh, I was wondering if I could get your number?” Connor, becoming aware of the eyes on him, scratches the back of his neck.

Delilah bits her bottom lip to try to hide the smile fighting its way onto her face as she pulls her phone from her back-pocket, unlocking it with her passcode and trading phones with him.

Meanwhile, coming out of the locker room, the two brothers pause along with Nico and Dawson as they watch the scene in front of them.

“Is she…is she giving him her number?” Luke’s jaw hangs in disbelief as he watches his little sister laughing along with Connor as they exchange phones back.

“She’s flirting with him!” Jack exclaimed quietly.

“How do you know she’s flirting and isn’t just nervous?” Nico asked, his accent thick.

“She’s playing with the ends of her hair.” Both reply together as Luke pulls his phone out and takes a picture.

“Dude, what are you doing?” Dawson laughed at the boy.

“Photographic evidence for when I tell Quinn and she denies it.”

“Bedard! Let’s get it!” Someone calls from the team, causing Connor to look back at them for a second, holding a finger up for them to wait.

“So, I’ll text you later?”

Delilah grinned, “Yeah. Sure.”

“Cool. See you later.”

“Bye.”

“I saw that.”

Delilah jumps as Luke’s voice comes from behind her, “The fuck dude?! Don’t do that shit!”

“I saw that, and I’m telling Quinn.” Luke tells his little sister, waving his phone in the air to show his and Quinn’s messages pulled up.

“Don’t tell Quinn!”

“I’m going to and you can’t deny it ‘cause I have photo proof.” Luke has a smug look on his face.

“Okay.” Delilah shrugged, walking towards where their older brother was talking to Nico. “Guess I’ll just tell Jack who really broke his hockey stick a few months ago.”

"I don’t wanna tell him!” Luke stops as the hushed voiced of Emersyn and Jack through the locked door of Jack’s bedroom.

"Why not?! This could be a good thing, and you could end up being my sister in the far future!” The youngest of the Hughes clan tilts his head to the side, face scrunched up in confusion as he walks closer to the door to hear better.

“No, Jack. Quinn is never going to know about my crush on him.”

“Alright! Fine! Your secret is safe with me.”

Hours later, Jack and Emersyn had joined their brother’s and the boys' friends, and everyone had begun to notice how weird Luke was being.

“Luke!” Jack snaps over at his little brother, who was shaking the entire table they were all sat at, a deck of cards passed around all of them.

“Stop shaking the tab—,”

"Emmie has a crush on Quinn!”

Everything falls silent as Emersyn sits frozen in her spot, everyone looking between the girl and the oldest brother.

“Awe, Quinn!”

“The baby has a crush on you!”

Emerysn can feel the tears weld up in her eyes as Quinn’s friends started to tease her.

“Emmie, I don’t like you like that.” Quinn laughed in her direction. “I — You're like my sister. I would never like you as more than that.”

“Em, I’m sorry.” Luke frowns as she stands up and quickly rushes out of the room.

“Nice going, idiot.” Jack scoffed, rushing after his best friend, “Emmie! Emersyn!”

“What?!” Jack stares at his mom in disbelief as Luke and Quinn follow their dad into the lake house.

“What’s going on?” Quinn frowned at the upset look on his brother's face.

“This is your fault!” Jack spins around to look at his younger brother.

“What’s going on?” Jim looks at his wife for the answer to his and his son’s question.

“Claire just called; she says that Emmie decided she was going to California for the summer instead of joining us all here.” Ellen said, “She’s gonna spend the summer with her cousins.”

“If Luke wouldn’t have opened his big mouth last summer and Quinn wasn’t scared to admit that he liked her, then Emmie would be here!” Jack stomped up the stairs and slamming the door to his room shut.

“I’m sorry, Jack.” Emersyn frowns as she sits in the airport with her phone pressed against her ear. “I’m gonna spend another summer in Cali.”

“What? Emmie…is this about—,”

“Yeah.” She sighs, “I can avoid him at school, and around our houses, but I can’t avoid him for three months without thinking about him rejecting my feelings for him. Even if it did happen two years ago.”

Its Jacks turn to sigh, “No, I get it. At least keep me updated. And promise that you’ll call and text me.”

“I will.”

Jack scoffed, “No. She’s going back to Cali, again. Where she’s been going for the last couple of years.”

“Is she—,”

“No, okay. Don’t. This is your fault and Luke’s.” Jack tells his older brother.

“How is this our faults?”

“Because! It’s Luke’s fault for listening to something that didn’t concern him and telling you about it! And it’s your fault because you embarrassed her in front of all of your little friends you had over! And you know what? I wouldn’t blame her if she didn’t step another foot in this lake house.”

“Maybe I can call her—,”

“Don’t bother.” Jack mumbles as he brushed by him, “She changed her number a year ago.”

“Wait, Emmie’s calling me.” Jack pulls his phone out as he sits around a fire pit with a few friends, putting the phone on speaker. “Hey, Emmie!”

“Jack! You will never fucking believe what just happened the other night!” Emersyn’s excited squeal filled the night air.

Jack laughed at her excitement, “By the sound of it, something crazy happened.”

“Yes! So, Ava and some of her friends took me to this karaoke bar that lets teens in every now and then, and of course they forced me to get up and sing—.”

“As they should have.” Jack cuts her off, “You have the voice of a fucking angel!”

“Thank you! Anyway, so as we’re walking out, I bump into someone and it’s Justin fucking Bieber!” Another squeal leaves her lips, “He goes on about how he’s just walking and head me singing so he had to walk on and check out it. Then he tells me that he wants to sigh me to his label!”

“But, because I’m only 17, I had to call mom and dad! then yesterday, I called Justin, and he automatically signed me to his label!”

“Emmie! That’s amazing!” Jack is smiling so hard his face begins to hurt.

“But that means that I gotta move to California.”

The smile slowly begins to face from Jack’s face before he stands up, taking the phone off of speaker and walks towards the lake house, his voice fading as he talked, “What do you mean you’re moving to California?!”

Quinn stares out at the burning flames in the fire pit, a frown on his face and an unfamiliar feeling of dread deep in his stomach as his brother’s words circled around in his head.

“Do you have everything that you’re taking with you?” Jack sits on the end of Emersyn’s bed as he looks around at the near empty room.

“Yeah, I think so.” The brunette nodded plopped down next to him, laying her head on his shoulder, “It’s weird.”

“Leaving?”

“Yeah, this is the only place I’ve known since I was eight. Now I’m moving out to California.” She sighs, “We haven’t been apart since I started going to California.”

“We’ll have FaceTime, text. And when I’m drafted for hockey, wherever I go, then we can fly to each other.” Jack smiles as he looks at the wall ahead of him. “Are you gonna say goodbye to Luke and Quinn?”

“Luke, yes. Quinn…. I don’t know.” Emersyn frowned. “I’m not embarrassed anymore that he rejected me in front of his friends, I think I’m more hurt over the fact that I’ve been in love with him since before I even knew what love was. And he laughed and brushed it away as if it meant absolutely nothing to him.”

“Emmie, everyone can see that Quinn looks at you more than just a sister. Even then, but he’s been quieter since you stopped coming to the lake house. I think you should say bye to him.”

“Okay.”

She never did.
