The lovely , beautiful and talented Kelly Wearstler. What can I say but this woman is a genius! Love her vision, how she mixes all different styles, colours and textures to create these magnificent interiors. Her choices are bold and always elegant, pieces are well curated and thought of. I chose the images of her more subtle palette of colours as she is more known for her bold and vibrant one. Just want to show how versatile she is.
You will never get bored in any of the rooms Kelly has created, whether its a house on the beach or a mansion in Beverly Hills. Her talents are vast, including all The Viceroy and Tides Hotels, has collaborated with Schumacher fabrics, Sferra Linens, Pickard, The Rug Company, Lee Jofa and Bergdorf and Goodman where she created the elegant Restaurant. There is also a section in the store where you can buy some of her great homeware.
It doesn't even end there, as a woman of eclectic and chic style herself I always wondered why she never designed her own line of jewellery and clothes, et voila her first collection of clothes and accessories has been created. Today her online boutique launched, have a look, you can view all her work, shop and also read her blog where she takes you on her sourcing adventures where you really get to see how magical her eye is for great pieces and the way she views colour and details. You can also buy her pieces at Neiman Marcus and Net-a-Porter for accessories.
Lastly for the piece de resistance, I was recently in LA where I went to a hair appointment which was in the same building as her studio, I was so tempted to ring the door bell and run inside to be surrounded by all her talents.
Oh and her first stand alone store is opening around the Corner on Melrose (see below) Will go back to LA to hopefully see it open and do another post on Kelly as there is so much I could not put on one post.
Enjoy xo

Should your glance on mornings lovely
Lift to drink the heaven's blue
Or when sun, veiled by sirocco, Royal red sinks out of view,
Give to nature praise and honour.
Blithe of heart and sound of eye,
Knowing for the world of colour, where its broad foundations lie.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The lovely Lulu de Kwiatkowski, She paints, she designs fabrics, wallpapers, dinnerware, pillows , rugs, bedding and my favourite of all are her collages that she transformed into a handwritten and hand painted journal, travelogue, bio, titled LULU all created on from her kitchen floor.
All this amazing work and a mother to three boys, I should have paid more attention when we were in art an sculpture class together at school!
To view more of her work go to her website and wonderful blog where I was inspired to do this post,
Brava xo

Are you in need of some unique earrings? Are you in to Renaissance and Roman Baroque styles? Or do you have a jewellery obsession like me?
Here comes a Roman Gentleman named Diego Percossi Papi, well actually his creations have been around since 1968 when his little atelier opened next to Rome's Pantheon. Where else could you imagine him to be!
Originally trained as an architect Signor Papi taught himself how to make jewellery and enamelling. With a keen eye for colour and historical vintage jewellery his pieces have been used in many movies, including the superbly costumed movie Elizabeth:The Golden Age starring Cate Blanchett(first image). There is a hint of Faberge in his use of colours and the magnificent jewellery that I saw on my trip to St Petersburg.
You can order pieces online or when in Rome stop by his atelier and be transported to another era.

On my way to Eivissa as they say in Catalan the local dialect, for a little holiday.
Hasta la Vista!
Moldovian born Maria Pergay's first collection of stainless steel furniture, including the 'Ring' chair and the 'Flying Carpet' daybed was exhibited in 1968 at Galerie Maison Jardin, under the direction of decorator Jean Dive. Her success was instant, and Maria was quickly sought after by sophisticated collectors for private commissions. In the 1970's Pergay went on to work in Saudi Arabia where she designed palace interiors for the Royal family. In the late 80s thru 1990s, Pergay worked on several important commissions in Russia. Throughout these years, she continued to pursue her innovative work in stainless steel. Since her groundbreaking show of new work in 2006, Pergay has exhibited internationally, including Paris, Korea and London. She has also focused on private commissions and is working with Demisch Danant on her catalogue raisonné which will be released in 2011. In her 80th year, after a half century of creation, Pergay continues to surprise both herself and her collectors. She resides in Paris.
