I was thinking once again about how Viserys was a terrible father with obvious favoritism even in the worst cases. Aemond had lost an eye and he didn't care about the life of his legitimate son.

We also need to contextualize and Aemond suffered more than in a modern context with advanced medicine. There was a lack of hygiene, the concept of sterilization didn't exist. In fact, the instruments were not disinfected for the operations adequately and so bacteria could proliferate. I like that “morning baby” kinda relationship. The no games, great communication, lots of sex, lots of kissing, lots of cuddling, lots of flirting, lots of being goofy kind of relationship. That makes you want to run 100 miles, read books, clean up your bad habits kind of love.
