may i ask for headcanons for crocodile x child reader where crocodile's daughter joins the strawhats post alabasta?
and the next time they meet in impel down, well. that's not even his daughter anymore. that's his son now.
thank you very much for the open requests!
(from @77v77)
Bet. My first time writing a trans character so I hope it turned out okay. I'm still not used to headcanons so this honestly came out more as a fic, I'm really sorry about that. If you want a redo I don't mind, sorry. I got kinda carried away with a storyline and it turned out like this.
Crocodile x FTM!Child!Reader. 1562 words. Author isn't trans but trying their best. Feel free to correct if I messed up. (D/N) Is deadname.
This is how your life is, youâve accepted it. Youâre the daughter of someone powerful, strong, rich, you should be happy; but you arenât. These dresses arenât making you happy, the people fawning over you arenât either, even the small amount of attention you get from your father doesnât truly make you happy. Itâs only when something happens, something that was supposed to be negative, that you get a glimpse of what can be your happiness. How could you let it pass you by at that point? Call yourself your fatherâs daughter, you donât let opportunities like this just leave. Of course, maybe daughter isnât something to describe you anymore.
âTake me with you.â Is what you say to Luffy when heâs leaving.
âHm?â He looks at you, recognizing who you are, and scowls slightly.
âTake me with you, I want to go with you.â You repeat and it only confuses him more, Luffy doesnât like being confused either.
He thinks youâre trying to pick a fight at first, but when he realizes you arenât he calms down a bit.
âI just beat up your dad, why do you wanna come with me?â He asks you.
âBecause I want to. So let me on.â
âWha- Donât give me orders!â
You two end up getting into a small argument, call it childish but you arenât used to being argued with by anyone other than your father.
Of course, it ends up working out, Luffy lets you on.
Robin even uses you as an excuse to get on as well, your partner in crime.
Luffyâs a little upset he kind of didnât get as much of a choice as heâd like, but he got over it once Robin worked her charms. (Using her hands to help them make stupid jokes)
As for you, it took a while for you to warm up to them even though youâre the one who got on.
Something just still didnât feel right.
You felt better than before, of course, but not as good as youâd like.
Itâs only when Nami helps you pick out clothes that you realize that youâve never truly chosen what youâve wanted.
You were given options of course, but those options were picked from what your father wanted.
When you were looking at dresses Nami noticed you looking unhappy.
âYou donât have to wear a dress if you donât want to, you know. You can wear something else.â She says casually.
In her mind it was just a fashion tip from one woman to another, something simple.
But to you it was so much more.
From then on you took things into your own hands.
Not just bossy with the things youâre given, but exploring to find your own choices.
You started dressing differently, which might seem so little but it felt so much bigger to you.
Time passes and it was the best choice youâve ever made, it helped you become your true self.
The crew was confused at first, Sanji was even devastated, but it passed.
Sometimes Sanji still laments, but itâs more just because he was happy to have another woman to fawn over.
He gets over it, youâre happier this way.
You even get the privilege of not having the privilege of Sanjiâs over-the-top affection.
Everything is so much better, so much brighter that you almost forget what your life was like before you were truly yourself.
Thatâs until you meet your father again, a reminder of who you were.
You know it's not his fault, he never bossed you around or told you you couldnât be your true self.
He just wanted you to be someone that he could have confidently as his child, someone unbreakable; and that's what you were.
An unbreakable broken person.
Thatâs how you could describe him too, in the state heâs in.
Chained up and defeated, it makes your heart ache.
Even if he wasnât the best father he was still yours.
He almost doesnât recognize you at first, glaring at you until it clicks who you are.
â...(D/N)?â He calls to you and you almost flinch from the sound.
It brings shivers up your spine, even if you know it was from ignorance.
You donât want to respond, not wanting to acknowledge that previous you; but decide itâs time to face it.
Crocodile himself, your father, isnât the enemy that kept you captive.
â..Father.â You say to him.
â(D/N) you, what are you-â
âThatâs not my nameâ You interrupt him, and it makes him pause.
Not your name?
How isnât it your name? He named you himself!
âWhat are you talking about? I figured you joined that Strawhatâs crew but you changed your name for it? Were you..â He trails off, feeling hurt.
Were you that unhappy with him?
Why else would you change your name if not to try and get rid of your past?
You must be ashamed of him, he sure is.
Got beaten by a brat and ended up in a prison getting mistreated by people he could kill in a heartbeat, if only he had the chance to.
âFather.â You catch his attention, snapping him out of the trance of negativity he put himself into.
âItâs not you, if thatâs what you were worried about.â You reassure him, and he scoffs.
âIf not me what else? You sure seem a hell of a lot brighter now that youâre not with me.â His heart aches.
Despite not wanting to admit it he did have a soft spot for you.
You were his daughter, the small light he had in the darkness, whether the choice to have you was his or not.
â..Itâs (Y/N).â You say quietly and he perks up, looking at you closer.
You look different, more different than he realized at first.
âYouâve changed.â
âI know.â Thereâs a silence.
Crocodile isnât one to pry, he didnât pry even when you were his daughter.
âAre you happier?â He asks you, like a sentimental fool.
Your eyes go wide, but they calm as you smile.
âI am, Iâm so much happier.â
âGood. Make sure you stay on the other side of these bars, too, (Y/N).â Your father says and your heart clenches.
Youâre happy, but sad at the same time.
Here you are, your true self with friends that care about you, meeting your Father again.
This should be happy for you, there shouldnât be anything bad about this.
Despite that, you feel like crying; and look down.
Because youâve gained so much, but youâve lost being your Fatherâs daughter.
He still cared for you, and you him.
He helped you with your hair, gave you the luxury he grained, treated you with the respect you deserved, he even changed your diapers sometimes when you were little.
Even though he didnât need to.
Crocodile loved you as much as he could in and in the way he knew how.
So the thought that youâve lost that love, it hurts.
You donât want to go back to being his daughter, you donât want to go back to being a daughter, but you donât want to lose being his child.
âHey, donât give me that look.â You hear him say, and you look back up.
âI know you and how that face you make when you're about to cry. Even if youâre different know youâre still my..â He trails off and you hesitate.
âSon.â Your heart drops, fear overtaking you at the thought of him rejecting you.
âMy son.â He says and your vision blurs.
âJeez, you really donât listen donât you? That a Strawhat trait, or did you get it from me?â He says with a sigh as tears roll down your cheeks.
âCâmon, stand up straight. Youâre my kid, act it.â Something he would always say to you when you felt insecure.
It never did much other than help you put your mask back on.
But now those words empower you.
More than when they were said by the savior of Alabasta, the fearsome Crocodile.
You nod and wipe your eyes, you canât cry now.
âThatâs right, one of us has to be free." He looks down at himself, weak from mistreatment and seastone.
"Maybe itâs better you than me.â His chains clink as he moves.
âI am free, I feel so free. All the time.â You say, laughing a bit.
It shocks Crocodile, he hasnât heard you laugh like this in so long.
He'd thought you'd lost it from age, just as he did.
You haven't laughed this freely with him since he could hold you up with one hand.
The sound of his son sounds so much happier than his daughter.
He wishes he knew sooner, maybe he couldâve even given you different life skills.
Too late for that.
âAre you gonna stand here all day looking at your old man? I doubt youâve come to free me.â You shake your head.
You donât even have his key.
Your ears perk up at crashing noises, itâs time for you to go.
You look back at your father, eyes clear and bright.
âIâll be going now, Dad.â You say with a smile and he bites the inside of his cheek to hold any emotion in.
âGo get em, son.â Crocodile says with a chuckle.
You go off and he sits in his cell.
He wonders if this is how you felt, trapped with him and in a body you didnât feel was your own.
Maybe this is his retribution, his punishment for his wrongdoings.
If thereâs a God out there.. he hopes that they keep that punishment to him.
It wouldnât be fair to drag someone he just met into his problems.
You deserve your new life.
Heâs just happy he was able to see a glimpse of it.
That was it. Hope that was good. I'm not trans but I just based it off of what i've seen and maybe how I would feel if I were trans. Hope that works. I don't know why you made yourself anonymous but put your @ but I'll assume maybe it was because you wanted me to tag you so here @77v77

Its a little funny/depressing seeing sugar baby fanfiction cuz it used to be the focus on getting fucked and you buying lavish dresses or whatever but i read a sugar baby fanfic drabble post that was like, in a sexy way, written like "Him giving you money and his card. Calling you doll as you buy groceries to fill up your fridge â¤ď¸. Calling you pretty as you call him talking about your day and how you slept all you wanted waking up not stressed about rent â¤ď¸ Buying new besheets â¤ď¸" Like is this sexual or just your fantasy.

Alright, we all heard about Vinsmoke family being dicks to transfem!Sanji and misgendering her, but what about them still being dicks, but gendering her correctly? Something like:
Yonji: lmao havenât seen you in a while bitch bo-
Sanji: Iâm a woman.
Yonji:âŚ
Sanji:âŚ
Yonji:âŚ
Sanji:âŚ
Yonji:âŚhavenât seen you in while bitch-
They might be narcissistic, egocentric, evil pieces of shit bullying their sister but at least they address her properly.
It's kinda funny how every crew we see calls their captain "Captain" or by some title of respect but the Strawhats just call Luffy by name.
Akainu: We're going to kill every last pirate here!
Koby: PLEASE STOP! THERE'LL BE TOO MANY CASUALTIES!
Borsalino:
This took long because I was writing it and got into it and was like "oh damn this writing is kinda fire" but then it was too fire and I had to edit everything else to work. Also forgot to respond to the ask itself so i put a picture.
Zoro x Female!Reader. Tw: Migraines, Angst with happy ending, violence, some gore and body horror (i think thats what its called) 5371 words.
You and Zoro sit next to each other in the crowâs nest, him meditating while you read. Thereâs no need for you two to speak to feel connected, simply spending time together like this is more than enough. Itâs only when you finish another chapter that you realize youâve been reading for hours, even before Zoroâs began meditating. Youâre thirsty, he must be too, when you had first started reading he was training. This works out, you had begun to lose focus anyway, maybe youâd just been reading for too long. âIâll get us both some waterâ You think to yourself as you move to get up, freezing when you feel a familiar pressure in the side of your head. You must've been too focused on the book to pay attention. This is unfortunate, you didnât have time to mentally prepare yourself this time, dread weighing you down. In one last action of hope you put your hand there, maybe itâs just a bug bite or the flesh there fell asleep; but youâre met with nothing. Nothing you can do now except brace yourself with what little time you have. You look back towards your boyfriend, meditating, heâs more focused than usual. Youâll just quickly make your way to Chopper and-
STAB
Your eye pricks and throbs in pain, as if a shard of glass made its way behind it. Before you can try and take another step you feel an arm pull you back. âSit. Youâll just make it worse.â A quiet voice, Zoro. He sets you down onto the ground and stands up, turning off the lights and shutting the curtains before going back to you. It helps, but your head hurts, and itâs only getting worse. Everything is getting smaller and your brain is growing. You havenât had one in a while, why now? Why couldnât it be when you were near Chopper or when Zoro wasnât so focused. You ruined it, youâre a burden, that thought embeds into your brain like the roots of suffering that grow to press against your shrinking skull. Seeping the poison of negativity as it worms through your head. Again and again, this parasitic plant fishes in the back of your eye, trying to force its way out. It's useless, you werenât careful enough and now youâre paying the price. A warm hand goes to the side of your neck âBreathe.â A deep voice tells you, only realizing then that you were struggling. At this rate youâll only end up making things worse. Despite the throbbing pressure in your skull you manage to force yourself to breathe, counting seconds in your head to assist you. âIâm going to Chopper.â Zoro whispers, trying to keep his words to a minimum. You want him to stay, but this is for the best. These can last longer than you would be able to handle even with Zoroâs comfort. Keeping his footsteps quiet, he goes to the door. You cover your eyes to avoid the sunlight, only opening them again when it closes. Youâre alone now, you have to keep yourself stable until heâs back. One hand on your chest, another on your stomach as you close your eyes.

Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Itâs okay, youâve been through these before, it will pass just as the others have. Repeat, the door opens, repeat, two sets of footsteps make their way to you. Your breathing is a cycle the same your suffering is, your pain and your attempts to manage it circling around each other as you fight to keep sane. Chopper does not speak, he doesnât need to, you know how this will go. He gently rubs where heâll put the compress, then puts it to your skin. Itâs cold, but you stay calm, relax your muscles even if you want to tense instinctively. Zoro sits at your other side, his presence a comfort. Heâs unsure if he could touch you, but you reach out and grab his hand. You donât need the hands on your body anymore, especially as the pain numbs slightly with Chopperâs care. Once the reindeer seems satisfied that youâre calm he pulls out a triptan. Nasal spray, good since you donât need to swallow anything nor feel any injection that could cause stress, lord knows you donât need more of that. He taps your arm to signify that heâs going to use it and you relax as much as you can. The nozzle goes into your nose and you breathe in gently. Itâs done, this is all that he can do right now. He puts the medicine away and strokes your arm, trying to comfort you. Everything is on you now, you just have to endure until it sets in. Youâre safe, you have your boyfriend on one side and a caring friend on your other. The minutes pass and the pain dulls, you take a deep breath.
âIâm sorry.â Is the first thing you say.
âItâs fine.â Zoro responds. Two words but the tone of his voice, the fact that heâs still keeping his voice soft, reassures you. You wish you didnât have to deal with this, but you donât have that ability. The privilege of having people that care is enough for you, itâs enough. Chopper is patient as he stays with you, making sure to check your pulse every so often; he even brought a bag just in case you throw up. Zoro goes back to meditating, but half of his focus is on you, one of his hands still holding yours. The hours pass, Sanji comes in quietly with some food. He doesnât argue with Zoro, nor does he fawn over you, he sets the plates down for all 3 of you so you can eat; then leaves. Like before, it passes. The food helped, even if you felt nauseous your body still needed it, Sanjiâs a good cook. You take a deep breath and let out a sigh of relief, about to apologize again when Zoro squeezes your hand.
âDonât.â He states and you sigh again, keeping your mouth shut.
âIâm gonna put the lights to dim so you can get used to it again, is that okay?â Chopper asks as he gets up.
â..Yeah.â You hesitate slightly but you arenât new to this, you can handle it. Franky installed lighting options for this, Chopper turns the lights on to a nice dimness while you close your eyes. You slowly open them, getting used to it. The painful part has passed and you stand up and peek outside. Itâs night, youâve kept them both inside all day. âIâm sorry Chopper, you mustâve wanted to do other things.â Zoro could handle being still, he at least used the time to meditate, though less efficiently; but Chopper usually liked to play during the day and he couldnât do anything productive in the dark. The reindeer shakes his head.
âMm, itâs okay. Making sure the crew is healthy is part of my role as doctor.â He smiles. âMaking sure youâre okay makes me happier than playing.â An angel, Chopper must be an angel sent from above to care for pitiful beings of the Earth.
âThank you, I always feel a lot better when youâre helping me.â You pat his head and he sheepishly giggles. Seeing him like this cheers you up, especially when youâre starting to feel bummed out. An arm wraps around your waist and Zoro picks you up. âI can walk by myself.â
âI know.â He yawns and holds you close, bridal style. You look to Chopper for help in convincing him but the reindeer just seems happy that youâre well enough to be stubborn.
âIâll bring water over to your room.â With that the doctor runs off, leaving you in Zoroâs arms.
âLet me down Zoro, Iâm not a baby that needs help walking.â You start to argue but Zoro just hums and walks out of the crowâs nest, heading to the womenâs room. âDonât open it yet, knock.â
âI know, I know.â He grumbles, holding you in one arm easily and knocking with the other. The door opens to Robin, Nami sleeping in the background. She notices your state and smiles warmly. Sheâs considerate though, refraining from chuckling at your state and instead stepping to the side so Zoro can come in.
âAre you sure he can come in?â You ask, looking at the sleeping navigator.
âShe wonât mind if he simply comes in for a moment. Unless youâd like him to stay here?â Robin asks and Zoro perks up at being able to watch over you.
âNo, itâs alright.â You shut it down immediately and he puts you down on your bed, displeased. âI donât want to wake Nami to ask her, Zoro.â
âSo what, she could just go back to sleep after.â He huffs and you sigh.
âIf youâre feeling unwell during the night you can wake me, I can go retrieve him for you.â Robin suggests, once again a crewmate is making a sacrifice for you.
âIâŚâ You look at the both of them, youâd like to argue but if you donât agree itâll only worry them more; so you nod. They seem pleased with that and Robin goes back to her own bed.
âRest easy, Zoro.â The archaeologist tells him.
âIâll leave it to you, then.â He trusts Robin, sheâs alert, so heâs satisfied with that; even if heâd rather you let him stay here. You watch as the swordsman leaves, sighing. It feels so helpless, you train to get stronger and stronger yet youâre still so weak the moment your migraines come. Itâs like you havenât gotten stronger at all, stuck at the bottom due to something you canât control, having to rely on crewmates to be able to function. You almost wish they would be harsher to you, maybe it would toughen you up; though you know it doesnât work that way. A hand blooms on your shoulder and caresses the side of your defective head before covering your eyes.
âSleep.â Robin says from her bed and you decide to listen, what other choice do you have? Itâs not like you could stay up without only worsening your condition and causing even more burden on everyone. Your eyes close, the exhaustion from everything crashing down on you.
_____________
Itâs not too surprising youâre in a bad mood. Youâve been stubborn from the start, the irritation coming from migraines only worsening it. Another cycle, you survive what comes to torment you. only for the aftereffects to still haunt you. Now you sit on the deck, sunglasses protecting your eyes. You tried to stay inside but couldnât handle being alone with your thoughts. Luffy catches a ball, almost bumping into you. âWoah, got it.â He looks back at you, making sure he didnât accidentally kick you, then goes back to playing ball with Franky using a machine that shoots the ball out. Irritation, anger, it festers in your heart and wants you to yell at Luffy to apologize.
'Control yourself, he didnât even hit you.â You tell your mind as you clench your jaw. You came outside to be with people, not to lash out at them. Control, you are not your condition, you are a person capable of making choices that are not a result of pain out of your control. Control, take the reins of what you can, thatâs the only thing you can do. Keep yourself stable, lessen the burden on people around you, thereâs no use in fighting a battle you canât win. A battle where you can only lose. A fight that will never end.

Ignore the tendrils pressing their way through the wrinkles of your brain and down your neck, the pressure behind your eye, in your skull. This is your normal.
âMarines!â You hear Usopp yell out, your eyes snapping open in the middle of another breathing session you had been working on in preparation for another coming migraine. You stand, this is fine.
âAh! Wait!â Chopper goes to you. âYouâre-â
âItâs fine, Iâm in prodrome, I can deal with this much.â Before the doctor can protest youâre already gone, having jumped to one of the marine ships to fight. Itâs loud, but not unbearable, especially with the safety of your crew in mind. Itâs working, you can deal with this as normal. You are in contro-

A gun is shot, and you dodge the bullet, but that isnât what is hurting you. Sound. Your breath falters, your ears are ringing. It was shot at close range. Your stomach lurches, poison in your mind affecting your body as you break into a cold sweat. No, no no. This isnât how this was supposed to go, youâre in control. You grab the marine by the head and slam it into the railing of the ship, killing him. Itâs okay, you can still fight, itâs okay. Youâll breathe, you can breathe. Even when you feel pain in your head, migraine advanced by the gunshot, you can breathe.

Something is blocking your throat. You look down, seeing a blade protruding from your chest, then ripped out by the marine behind you. Blood pours out from your body into your lungs up your esophagus, red staining your lips as you cough red. You canât breathe. Stepping forward, drowning, you struggle. Funny, blood, yet another lifeforce meant to keep you alive, is killing you. Pain in life, and pain in death, your body destroys itself. Ah.. the spot of green you see barely registers in your mind. Everything is dark.
__________
Zoro stares down at you, time stopped at the sight of your unconscious body. âNo nononono.â He picks you up and you cough out blood, panic fills him. âShe canât die, she canât.â He turns you on your side, but blood is filling your lungs too fast for it to help. He realizes the ship is sinking and turns to the Sunny, he failed you, he canât save you as a swordsman like this. Desperate legs propel him back to the Sunny. The battle had already been won, if only he got there a bit sooner, noticed quicker that you had gone despite your migraine signs.
Luffy is the first to notice, his haki alerting him. It makes his own blood run cold and he turns to the rest. â(Y/n)âs hurt!â He yells, then runs inside the ship to get Chopper, whoâd been grabbing medicine for your migraine. Robin acts, a mouth blooming in the reindeerâs medical room.
â(Y/n)âs been injured.â She alerts him right as Zoro lands on the deck of the Sunny. âLuffy is coming to you, grab what you need for-â She looks to you and notices the wound, biting down on the inside of her cheek to stay calm. âstab wound, punctured the lung and through the other side of her body.â Zoro sets you down, using his bandana to try to apply pressure onto your wound. Meanwhile Chopper grabs everything he needs before Luffy bursts into the room and grabs him to run back to you. Chopper is set on the ground and immediately gets to work, ignoring the panic in his mind that his friend is dying in front of him. Zoro moves back, staring at you, then down at his bloody hands and bandana. He couldnât do anything, he wasnât there. If only he were there, he couldâve saved you from this. When he joined this ship he told himself he was a protector that would keep everyone alive, safe, that he would be there to stop even death itself. He looks to you, tube in your wound and Chopper taking blood from your throat so you can breathe. Youâre pale, just as Kuina was in her casket, dead because he wasnât there; because she was alone just as you were. Once you can be moved he helps you to Chopperâs clinic, the door shut in front of him so that the doctor can focus completely.
___________
It hurts. Is this the afterlife? You knew that you werenât the best person in the world but to think even the afterlife would be painful, this is hell. Maybe you should just relax ⌠that feels better. The pain is fading now, along with the memories of everyone. Your crewmates, and your boyfriend.
âZoroâŚâ That spot of green you saw mustâve been him. He mustâve seen you in such a bad state, you died in front of him. Even if he showed it in a different way, you know he loves you. Heâd be heartbroken if you died, the others would too. You start to feel pain in your body again, itâs horrible, but you need to get up. This is not how you will die.
Bright, your eyes struggle to adjust as you look around and spot blue and pink. It jolts and starts to run around, your chest hurts. It makes you flinch and the figure stops. Syllables turn to words as you come to.
â(y/n).... (Y/n)..!â Your vision focuses as Chopper whisper-yells. You look at him and his eyes widen, then start to glisten as he bursts into tears. âY-Youâre awake!â He trembles, sobbing. âYouâre awake, youâre alive!â Realizing his volume, he covers his mouth. âs-sorry..â You should comfort him.
â..iTâs o..ay..â Your voice is raspy and strained, not very reassuring. You try to get up but little hooves stop you.
âStop, donât move, or speak.â Heâs still nervous, checking that your movement didnât damage any stitches and bloody the bandages around your chest. âJust donât do anything. You didnât listen to me before and now youâre l-like this.â He starts to cry again. âSo y-you better listen this time..! Hic..â His hooves go to his eyes to wipe away tears, the stress heâs been holding in to focus on you finally coming out. You relax your body, letting yourself lay back but moving your hand just a bit to pat Chopperâs head.
âmkAy..â Your voice cracks, and you stay silent now as the little reindeer cries. Once heâs done he sniffles and starts to speak after giving you a glass of water, saying that youâve been asleep for a week. The only reason you survived is from Chopperâs insight to have everyone on the ship give blood for emergencies, so he had your blood bags.
âIf I didnât have themâŚâ He trails off and you smile at him, you canât speak yet but you can still show youâre alive. Your reassurance works this time and he calms down. âOh!â He remembers something. âNow that youâre awake, Iâll go get Zoro.â He checks up on your vitals quickly, then goes to the door and opens it. âYou can come in now, ah! No, not everyone. Turns! She just woke up!â Chopper changes into Muscle Point, pushing so that everyone comes in pairs. You expect to see Zoro first, but he isnât there. Instead itâs Luffy and Sanji. The cook, expectedly, bows at the bed and begins apologizing for ever allowing a woman to get hurt so badly. Luffy stays silent during this, instead choosing to just be close to you. He stares at your bandaged chest.
âYouâre okay.â The captain states, and you nod. Maybe you arenât completely fine but youâre alive. âWhen youâre better we can eat and joke together again, okay?â Luffy trusts Chopper, he knows youâll be alright with his care. Still.. âListen next time.â seeing you with blood running down your face and pouring from your chest, it doesnât feel good. âI have to, and Iâm the captain, so you definitely have to.â With that he gives you a big smile, you give him one back and Luffy leaves. Sanji, calmer now, stands.
âMarimoâs not eating, I know he doesnât deserve it but if you could, get him to eat.â He falters when you stare at him. âJust because itâs a huge hassle to have to cook only for him not to eat it, I couldnât care less otherwise.â He quickly makes his leave after, but not before fawning over you on the way out. Nami and Usopp are next, Nami.. looks kinda rough. Her eyes are red, sheâs been crying. She stomps over to your bed and bites her top lip, very clearly ready to scold you.
âY-Youâre an idiot, I hope you know that.â Her voice is shaky. âI canât believe you would do something so stupid, as if you were invincible.â Her orange eyes start to well up with tears and she turns around to hide it. Usopp reaches a hand to comfort her but she slaps it away, he decides to leave it but she grabs his hand and puts it on her shoulder, changing her mind.
âI donât know what you were thinking 100% but I get wanting to⌠be brave.â He mumbles âStill, what you did was insane.â To be honest he doesnât really know what to say. Usoppâs done some pretty stupid stuff sometimes, and failed, so heâd feel really hypocritical just telling you boldly never to do that again. âPeople get worried about you, really worried.â Nami nods, still conflicted between wanting to scold you until sheâs satisfied and wanting to cry that youâre alive while hugging you. You pat the bed next to you, trying to get her attention. She looks back and you smile at her, nodding. It makes her tremble and she walks over to you.
âIâm sending you a bill of all the ointments and tissues Iâve used crying because of you.â Nami wipes her eyes. âBut, Iâm glad youâre okay.â Her hand goes to yours, holding it for a moment before she turns and leaves. Usopp stands there for a moment, then leaves too. You notice his eyes are a little swollen as well before heâs gone. Robin and Brook come in next, they both look calm compared to the others. Brookâs eyes land on you and you start to hear rattling. Oh, heâs shaking.
â(Y/n)-san I'm so glad youâre alive, yohohoho!!â Tears stream from his eyes as he runs to you, held back by Robin by the back of his suit jacket.
âWeâre all glad youâre alive.â She walks over to you calmly. âIt was gruesome seeing blood fill your lungs and out of your mouth like a sad hose, but itâs fortunate knowing you didnât have to die such a painful death.â You arenât sure if you should be happy she seems normal or not, considering her words; but at least she isnât sobbing. Robin, on the other hand, doesnât mind disturbing you as long as it scares you enough you donât do this again. They donât stay for too long though, they want you to rest; Brook does promise to play you something soft once you recover more though.
âWAHHH (Y/N)-â Franky cries loudly as he walks in but is quickly shushed by Jinbe with a pat on the shoulder. Your friends are quite emotional. âR-Right, sorry.â Your ears hurt for a moment but itâs okay. You donât even feel a migraine at the moment, they really donât need to be so quiet. Everyone must be still on edge and trying to be safe rather than sorry, a migraine during early recovery would be miserable. âI made this for you, I know youâre still against becoming a cyborg so this isnât anything thatâs implanted.â He hands you something, a pair of headphones. âIâd been working on them for a while, but IâŚâ He tears up again and falls to the ground dramatically. âYou seemed to be doing okay so I put it off. Iâm sorry.â You flip the headphones around in your hands while Jinbe stares at you. Itâs⌠kind of intense.
âIâm not going to ask you to apologize or repent for your choice, youâve faced the consequences without such a thing, but I hope this experience teaches you that rash decisions made alone result in nothing but pain.â The fishman states, stabbing you right in the conscience. Franky looks up, wiping his eyes. He doesnât disagree, in fact he nods and stands.
âI already changed the lighting in the ship for you, everyone cares about you. If youâre struggling then ask for help, nothing super about going in alone with no reason to.â He shakes his head. âNo, you were stupid.â Youâre getting scolded more by the both of them than anyone else at this point. âThe headphones will help, you donât have to use them all the time but promise me you will use them. Iâve made them to muffle loud noises while letting you hear people talk. So you better listen, got it?â Frankyâs serious, and you nod. âSuper, now get rest and convince Zoro to stop acting like heâs a cyborg.â Heâs bothered, and Jinbe nods. Before they both leave Jinbe gives you one last look, worry and disappointment, but trust that youâll do better from now on. A few moments pass before Chopper is back inside, he looks to the doorway with a smile.
âCome in.â Silence, Chopper makes an angry face. âCome in!â Finally, a familiar swordsman walks inside, though he looks tired. The doctor seems satisfied now and hops a little. âIâll be outside, you two talk! I got you this.â He runs over to you and hands you a notebook and marker, then runs outside. âNo arguing.â Zoroâs silent. âZoroâs been getting tired more easily because he doesnât eat, too!â At this your boyfriend reacts, turning.
âYou didnât need to say that!â He barks but Chopper stands his ground, giving Zoro eyes as he leaves the room. âCuter when he isnât nagging about my health.â
âHeâs worried about you.â You write and show him, but Zoro just scoffs.
âIâm not the one who needs to be worried about, missing some meals isn't going to kill me.â You notice him clenching his fist, wishing you could properly speak, but you arenât confident youâd be able to keep quiet if you start speaking. âAre you.. really so bad you canât speak?â Youâre snapped out of your thoughts by Zoroâs voice, he sounds dejected. When you look at him there's a hurt expression on his face.
âI can speak a little, I just canât be loud.â He reads this and seems slightly relieved.
âDonât trust yourself not to yell at me, I get it.â Your boyfriend starts but instead of letting you write he continues. âI messed up, so focused on some small fries that I let you get hurt. I canât even yell at you for being stupid because Iâm the one who shouldâve been paying attention.â He isnât letting you respond. âFuck Iâm such a shit boyfriend, keep trying to protect everyone on the crew but almost letting my girlfriend die because I was too cocky. I keep messing up over and over and I canât even do anything for you. I canât treat you or play you music or even cook something comforting like curly brow. All I have is protecting you and I didnât even do that-â
âZoro!â You yell, then clutch at your chest as your lung throbs. He stops talking and crouches down to check your chest.
âDammit, you just told me you couldnât yell, are you trying to hurt yourself more!?â He gently feels the bandages around your chest. âIâll go get Chopper-â Before he can leave you grab his wrist. âWhat are you doing?â
âDonât need.. Chopper. Need you.â He scowls like he got bit from your words.
âYou need someone who can care for you.â Your lover mumbles, looking away in shame. You tug on his wrist and he looks back at you, vulnerable, taking your sign to walk closer and sit on the edge of the bed. âI didnât do that, I didnât do anything. Not when you were stabbed and not when you were dying in front of my eyes. Even when you were in this room I couldnât help Chopper, I donât have that much medical knowledge. All I could do was watch as my girlfriend was dying in front of me, hoping that whatever happened that you would at least be alive.â He canât meet your eyes, not like this. The hand on his wrist trails up his arm, he hates it all. He hates how dead you looked, how unhealthy you look now, and he hates himself for letting this happen.
âZoro.â Your strained voice speaks and you move your hand to his cheek, gently moving his head to look at you. âItâs not your fault, and Iâm not dead.â He presses his lips together and puts his hand on yours, kissing your palm as his thumb goes to check your pulse. Itâs weaker than he wants, it hurts his heart, but at least yours is beating. He gives your palm another kiss, then your pulse point, up your arm until his are ever so gently holding you close to him. Like youâll shatter with even the slightest pressure. He doesnât speak, neither of you do, even when you feel wetness on your shoulder. You just wrap your arms around him as well, just as gently while your hand rubs his back soothingly.
âI love you.â He finally says after a few minutes pass, he doesnât say it very often. When he saw you drowning in your own blood it was one of the things he regretted.
âI love you too.â You press a kiss to his head. He wonât let this happen again, heâll protect you, physically, emotionally, anything.
____________
âAh- Wait!â Zoro pulls you into his lap, placing the food in front of you. âYou donât need to do all of this, Chopper said I'm healed enough to eat on my own. I didnât even need it to begin with.â He puts the chopsticks to your mouth.
âEat.â Your boyfriend states.
âI get worrying but why are you going this far.â You grumble, adamant you donât need this.
âBecause I love you, now eat.â You freeze, so does everyone else who heard. Zoro pauses for a moment, but doubles down. âCapable of feeding yourself but you canât even eat with help.â The tips of his ears are a bit pink but he isnât going to let that stop him from professing his love. You shift around.. okay it feels kind of nice being cared for, you open your mouth to eat whatâs given. âThere, not hard.â Youâre a bit embarrassed from all of this but Zoro glares at anyone who dares laugh or smile. This is not a joke, this is real and heâs doing perfectly normal boyfriend things.
âWow Zoro is kinda different no-â Nami slaps a hand over Luffyâs mouth, ignoring how he protests. It doesnât matter, heâll keep saying it until they get used to it, until you get used to it too. Everyone cares about you, so theyâll drill it into your head like antivenom until you stop thinking youâre a burden. Migraine be damned.
All done. I couldn't fit this but the reason Franky seemed peeved at Zoro is because he tried to tell Zoro to eat and Zoro said "So what? You eat less than me, I can handle this much." as if Franky only didnt eat as much because most of him is cola-powered. Also hope migraine havers are forgiving bc I don't actually have these I just kinda did some research and wrote how I might feel if i had them. guyth if you like it feel free to comment btw
