i was drawing while looking completely normal; hunched, bended towards table and had a calm, focused expression on my face. but inside, i was losing my mind. i was pulling a whole ass yotaro "im actually scared of drawing" panel. but i looked normal. it's so weird to me that i can lose my mind while sitting there and doing something i don't even have to. i was lying in my bed carefree and i chose to lose my freaking mind and be scared over some pen and paper. casually, of course. i lost my mind so casually even i was amazed by it.

I think it's cute how so many art movements are simply called "new art" to differentiate "not like the old stuff". Contemporary dance. New wave fashion. Pop (literally popular) music. Art Nouveau. Modernism. Postmodernism. Even terms starting with neo- (neo-classicism, neo-expressionism) all are just saying NEW ART. And yet all of these things are now distinctive styles of the past. It's kind of beautiful how humanity never stops outgrowing itself. Art is a state of matter that refuses to sit still, old as soon as it is new, original upon its thousandth performance, new forever so long as there is someone who has not yet seen it, and old the second the artist picks up their instrument again.

it may not seem like it but i think he has a really high emotional intelligence. he knew what kind of a person mizu is and he sensed that he must stay at her side because you know, she'll definetly need him. it's just mizu herself didn't know it yet so he had to prove his point :)

+ off topic but besides admiring mizu and seeing her as a master, as a friend, ringo chosed that path for mostly himself. like, he saw a lot of new things, places, people. learned so much and felt useful. he probably experienced way more stuff than he had in his previous lifestyle. i feel like gaining a close friend and helping someone to be great are just bonus points
