he desperately wanted kenny to hug him even though he hates him even though his clothes are filthy and he smells gross and he merely treats him like a person, levi still wanted to feel warm in someone's arm again like he did when kuchel hold him; he knew it won't be the same but he still wanted and waited, his arms itched his body felt cold and he kept waiting but for a very, very long time, no one touched him like his mother did. his hair got long and he considered going to a barber to feel someone's touch even at the tip of his hair. at some nights he felt his mother's lingering touch on himself and tried to remember how it felt to be touched without feeling threatened, when his hands are covered with blood he tried to remember how the same blood makes people warm in their veins and how it felt to be touched, touched, touched

i had a dream where i grab people on their naked shoulders, leaving bloody crescent marks, shaking them whilst i shake myself and ask are we going mad yet? how could so many people live and not go crazy? why are we so chill about the concept of death and living and being bloody fleshy machines that interact with each other???????????? how can we not go crazy. i have so much hours to live and i couldn't figure out how i didn't go crazy and how i won't

i always believed after an artist publishes something, they become both the consumer and creator of it. they should aim to create what they would like to see but after publishing it's up for others to decide it's value which varies with each person's view. as said, keep the channel open, try your best and leave the rest to people who'll interact with your piece.
“One of the most solid pieces of writing advice I know is in fact intended for dancers – you can find it in the choreographer Martha Graham’s biography. But it relaxes me in front of my laptop the same way I imagine it might induce a young dancer to breathe deeply and wiggle their fingers and toes. Graham writes: ‘There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.’”
