I think what makes so much Superbat content unappealing to me is that it fails to recreate what made Superbat so interesting to me in the first place. It's two of the strangest people ever bonding through their shared experience of absolute grief and loneliness. It's about connecting with someone so different from you just because you're one of the few people who can truly see the other for what they are.
(WF #289)
Clark is grieving two sets of his parents (the kents used to be dead fyi) and a world he could never know. He's lonely, and he sees in Bruce a man who can understand and help alleviate his loneliness through understanding and connection. THIS is at the core of why I like superbat. It's not the identity porn, the sun and moon symbolism, or the homoerotic out of context panels (though all those are nice). It's two people desperately reaching out for connection and finding it in a person so unlike themselves yet so similar.
I feel that sometimes Clark's own experiences in regards to his own loss are often sidelined for Bruce's. Bruce's pain is a constant knife in the side that he refuses to pull out because he doesn't want to forget. Clark is a sharp pain that arrives when he's most lonely and vulnerable. One pain isn't greater than the other. They're both learning to cope with it by transforming themselves to help others.
When you strip all that away, it becomes another sunshine x emo love story. Whe you strip all that away, Superbat has nothing that truly separates itself from other ships.
Let me be clear, there is no right or wrong superbat dynamic. This definitely isn't the original one. But this is the most poignant to me because it speaks to something deeper in the human spirit. It's not just a simple "happy go lucky guy nurses sad boy to health" story that I've seen a dozen times. It's two people finding the best of themselves in the other and wanting to treasure that. Because they fit each other...

Heat Abnormal- Fan art / animation
HEYY here a big project
I initially did a fanart of Earthy X6's Kaito cover of Heat Abnormal, but I loved the result so much I litterally learned After Effect to do an animation of it so I could convey the mood I get of this song even more.
If that's not fan devotion I don't know what is.
