alright, finally finished the vreem page. Just a little side note, smart-plants aren't actually plants in the traditional plants. They have more in common with animals and fungi physiology wise than they to to most terrestrial earth plants. So they have a rudimentary nervous system. I'll get around to drawing them eventually once i get a better idea of what the vreem homeworld is like.
an art trade for @gt-ridel they asked for an axolotl dragon and I immediately thought of olms, so an olm wizard.
Decided to do a bit of painting practice, tried a different technique, not sure how i feel about it, the colors are kinda dull.
Some sketches of a race of avian aliens i’m calling the proto-shina for a story/comic thing that been sitting in my head for a long time. Their an extinct species but are very influential in setting. (don’t have a proper name yet). They evolved on a dying world and at the height of their civilization technological prowess their star basically went super nova and blew up their planet. They weren’t an FTL capable species, and had tech that was a bit more advanced than our modern day world, think near future or cyberpunk. So as a way to have some sort of remembrance of their civilization they opted to choose a few select members of their species to have their minds copied and made into AIs. I was messing around with trying to design what a robotic version of their facial features might look like.
The parasitic wormfolk of Gnth are amicable people, they wear masks to give themselves faces
Decided to try coloring this in, I'm still learning how to use markers. Ever since my old graphics tablet died, I've been really debating whether or not i should buy a new one or just stick with doing things traditionally. (I'm not a big fan of pen tablets for drawing ) On one hand, messing around with markers and color pencils is really therapeutic for me right now, but I always feel apprehensive about doing things traditionaly, I guess I'd call it FORO (fear of running out). Its dumb i know, they're kinda meant to be used but still.
Either way, i think it came out okay.
