Don't mind me just crying that Arcane's opening song "Enemy" had a music video about Jinx and Ekko's relationship when they were kids and how season 2 gave another Jinx and Ekko song which is "My Best Enemy"
I've always liked the idea of Kya II being able to see spirits, like Jinora (and Iroh in the og show) did. Maybe not as clearly as Jinora, or she didn't have as special bond with them, but it just feels so very convenient that she somehow deduced that Jinora can see spirits simply by seeing a child chase something invisible. Like talk about a lucky guess.
Tenzin: You have to trust me. I can help you. Kya: There might be another way. Jinora, is there something you want to tell Korra?
Now, I imagine there are two paths this headcanon could follow.
One is rather sad, where Kya manifests the gift, but never tells Aang because he's too focused on training Tenzin. And so Kya doesn't really do much with her spirituality.
But the other, and more cheerful (and the one i find more plausible) is that Kya did tell Aang about her ability and he tried to to train her in the traditional way airbenders were, however it didn't work, as Kya herself has admitted that she struggled with memorising the theoretical and historical aspect of it.
Obligatory "yeah i bet you couldn't keep them straight you beautiful sapphic" joke
Which is why Kya didn't consider herself a viable spirit guide for Korra in B2. Tgough she clearly did internalise some of Aang's teachings, like mediatation and a nomadic lifestyle. Perhaps her journeys led her to more spiritual places, who knows. I also think that, while focused mostly on the physical and chi, healing through waterbending appears to be a decently spiritual discipline, which may be why Kya excelled in it.
Big fan of her signature move, the "scan em like a big xerox machine"
Also, piggybacking off this, I always thought that the reason Kya ans Bumi succumbed to the Fog of Lost souls quicker than Tenzin was bacause they're both more spiritually attuned than him. Sort of an open door policy on spiritual influence, good and bad.
Ekko is determined not to give up on her anymore, and somehow Ekko has given her reasons to want to be alive. Who knows, if Jinx is really still alive, we might still see these two together 🤧
Oh to be young and in love.
Sam: "I can't believe Danny liked Paulina and then Valerie! I mean, he clearly went for looks! He can't just appreciate the personality and different?"
Tucker: "I don't know, Sam, Valerie is pretty cool if you get to know her"
Jazz: "At this point, we like her too. And, you know, she, actually, is kind to me, unlike you"
Sam: "What do you mean? I am kind to you!"
Jazz: "Yesterday you called me a dumb bimbo because i asked if Danny was okay after a fight"
Tucker: "And last week for Jazz's birthday you gift her a card saying 'If i was a zombie and i was hungry, you would definitely be safe'"
Sam: "All i heard is that i can't do no wrong. All this was facts and i was honest"
So I was thinking about this small one-shot with Suren and Oak for some time because there is very little writing we have about them and I wanted to contribute both to the fandom and to the ship itself. Even though I love Cardan and Jude (read my works about them) I loved the dynamics of Oak and Suren and I want to read about them so guys please write about them. Also I’m writing a smut about them 😉
You already know my English is not the best, but I try.
------------------------------------- " ---------------------------------------
The morning light filtered through the curtains, casting golden streaks across the tangled sheets. But it wasn’t this that made the prince wake, in fact for him it was hard to fall asleep alongside the beautiful queen of winter, so he spent almost the time looking at her features, her cheeks that were flustered because of their previous actions.
A lazy smile tugged at his lips as he brushed a strand of hair from her face, she looked almost ethereal, even here, in the mundanity of an apartment in the human world.
He trailed his fingers along her exposed back, not to wake her but simply because he couldn’t help himself, but his thin rings cold against her hot skin, making her stir in her sleep and wake.
A soft hum escaped her lips as she blinked sleepily up at him “Morning.”
“Morning,” he echoed, his grin deepening. “You’re gorgeous like this, you know
When she rolled her body to face him, he had a wild smile on his face “What?” Wren’s flustered face and furrowed brow made him grin even wider.
“Nothing, just admiring you,” he murmured, his knuckles brushing against her cheek. He placed a gentle kiss on her skin, making her sigh. “My fallen queen.”
She scoffed lightly, shifting under the sheets. “You’re always so poetic.”
“Am I?” Oak propped himself up on one elbow, looking at her with a lazy smirk. “You should be grateful. Not everyone gets to wake up to such flattery.”
Wren rolled her eyes but smiled despite herself. “Lucky me.”
Oak trailed his fingers along her arm absentmindedly. “What were you dreaming about? You had this little frown.”
She hesitated for a moment. “I think it had something to do with… oh, you’re going to laugh.”
“Absolutely,” he confirmed. “But tell me anyway.”
She sighed defeated but joyful as she remembered “Fine. I dreamt that you turned into a fox.”
Oak blinked. Then burst into laughter. “A fox? Was I at least a beautiful one?”
Wren smirked, poking his chest. “Oh, you were very fluffy and… clever. Too clever. You kept charming people left and right, leading them in circles, making them do your bidding with just a glance.”
Oak grinned, pleased. “Sounds about right.”
She playfully shoved him, and he caught her hand, pressing a kiss to her knuckles. “Would you have kept me?” he asked.
Wren pretended to consider. “I don’t know… You were particularly mischievous. Always stealing things, vanishing when I needed you, only to reappear smugly.”
“I’d make an excellent fox,” he mused. “A regal one. Like a prince of foxes.”
“Oh, sure,” she teased. “Prince of stolen trinkets and smug grins.”
“Exactly.” He leaned in, pressing a slow kiss to her lips. “You wouldn’t be able to resist me.”
She hummed against his lips before pulling back. “Debatable.”
Oak lowered his head and started kissing her shoulder making her groan but didn’t pull away, and he took that as encouragement, continuing his slow assault of lazy kisses along her arm.
They stayed like that for a while, wrapped in the warmth of each other, until the quiet of the apartment broke with the sound of jingling keys and the front door opening. The distinct noises of voices filled the space.
Wren bolted upright. “Someone’s here.”
Oak could hear the laughter of Vivi and Heather, the sound of Taryn scolding Leander, who was laughing hysterically, and Jude snapping at Cardan for some insufferable joke he must have made.
The prince, still stretched out and very much unclothed, barely spared a glance toward the door. “Mm. Probably just Vivi.”
“That’s exactly the problem,” she hissed, already scrambling to find her scattered clothes. “We’re naked, Oak.”
He propped himself up on one elbow, amusement clear in his gaze. “Are we? I hadn’t noticed.”
She shot him a glare, tugging an oversized hoodie over her head. Oak, however, remained unfazed, watching her struggle with lazy amusement.
Just as she was about to yank on her jeans, he caught her wrist and pulled her toward him.
“What are you doing?” she murmured, resting her hands on his shoulders.
“Don’t worry, we have plenty of time, my sweet fairy.” Oak placed more kisses on her cheeks, jaw, and neck, making her falter.
She groaned but didn’t pull away, surrendering to his touch for just a moment before snapping out of it. “Oak, seriously, we need to get dressed.”
After a long session of stolen kisses, they finally got dressed and made their way into the living room. As expected, they weren’t alone anymore. Jude, Madoc, and Leander stood in the center of the room, shopping bags in hand. Leander was proudly holding up a new board game while Madoc and Jude bickered over something trivial. It was an oddly domestic scene.
Jude turned first, her sharp gaze flickering between Wren’s rumpled hoodie and Oak’s infuriatingly smug expression. A slow smirk spread across her lips.
“Did we interrupt something?” she asked, her tone far too amused.
Wren turned red. “No.”
Oak, however, slung an arm around her shoulders. “Maybe.”
Vivi, looking genuinely surprised, stepped forward and hugged Oak. “Finally awake you two” Her gaze shifted to Wren, friendlier than Jude’s scrutinizing stare.
“Well, that must have been quite a night?” Cardan questioned, receiving a displeased look from his wife. “And so silent.”
Oak just grinned at the implications of his uncle’s words and looked at Wren, who was visibly nervous, but as soon as his hand found hers, she seemed to relax. He led her toward the sofa, settling beside Leander and gesturing toward the board game.
“So, what did you buy at the mall?” he asked, effortlessly shifting the conversation.
Leander beamed. “Something amazing. And I’m going to destroy you all.”
Oak smirked, exchanging a glance with Wren. She was still flustered, but he could see the beginnings of a smile at the corner of her lips.
“Well then,” he said, dropping onto the couch, “let the games begin.”
I really enjoyed win or lose, and I love Laurie and Kai’s relationship, and the parallels in their anxiety. Also apparently their ship name is Goldilocks which I think is adorable! Anyway I decided to draw them as young adults!

One of the Gwen haters and comic lovers called for their children to be killed and aborted
Gwen haters are on the next level.
They have every right to not like the character, but taking it this far is screaming medical help.
They shouldn't wish death to anyone and doing it to fictional characters, well, that's their own insecure and hate not to the character, but theirselves.
Gwen is a well-written and complex character which the media usually lack. If they don't understand her, then don't go hating on her. Especially just because she is paired with a guy.
As for the comics, ghostflower there is totally different from the spider verse movies. But, their kids show a new possibility and introduce new characters. I would like to get a comic about Charlotte and Max Morales-Stacy cause they have an interesting background to see.
So, for those who hating,
You can't claim to be a marvel fan when you hate its characters just because they ended up paired up with someone you don't want to or for being related to the person you hate.
Learn how to comprehend.
And stop exposing your zero critical thought.
Ekko knew what he wanted from a very early age
The way he still looks at her like she's the prettiest thing in the world. 😭
AND ANOTHER THING ABOUT THAT is that--what gets me about the Miles and Margo flirting vs not flirting debate is that I really think people are underestimating how annoyed Miles is with Gwen in this scene.
Bear with me. I'm not saying anyone's a horrible person, I'm saying this is a fun thing about his character.
Miles is annoyed with Gwen on the Spider Society tour.
And he has good reason to be! She's been brushing him and his questions off. Back in Mumbattan she said she should've "never come to see him." And he's finding out that she lied to him--for instance, about the "small elite strike force" actually being a huge society.
I feel like a lot of people don't notice it because he's not letting it show too obviously. I think he's trying to brush off his annoyance and keep a positive attitude, but it still shows in his actions. And in the script:
And, of course, the most obvious:
And I wanna pause before I get to the whole Miles-Margo flirting thing to take a step back: the reason why this is important to me is because Miles isn't stupid and Miles isn't an always-positive ray of sunshine. It's clear that at this point, he's clocked that Gwen is lying to him. And he realizes that she's treating him badly. He's not oblivious, he's just choosing to not pick a fight with her about it right then and there. Even then, he's not just rolling over and taking the bad treatment, he's just reacting to it in a more subtle way.
...Which brings me to the flirting.
Now, the LAST thing I want to imply is that Margo is a tool for Miles and Gwen to use. Those that know my blog know I love Margo. I think she's a great character in her own right, and she doesn't just exist as a plot point to further ghostflower's agenda--it's clear metatextually that this moment served at least partially to introduce her as a character that will be important next movie, as a member of the Spider-Band.
Even beyond that, I don't think Miles was faking his interest in her. I mean, we all saw his spider-sense go off, and I don't think it's just because "they're all spider-man." I believe they were both genuinely interested in each other and sparked a connection there.
That said.
I also believe Miles noticed how Gwen reacted to it. And maybe dug his heels in further than he would've otherwise, to get more of a reaction out of her.
I mean, we all know Miles is down bad for Gwen. If he hadn't been annoyed with her at the moment, I think he would've been a lot more receptive to "keeping moving" like she wanted to, simply because he's usually really attentive to her being upset. He tries to make her feel better. But this time, he doesn't. In the movie proper, he ignores her to keep talking with Margo. In the script, he literally physically follows Margo:
You guys see what I mean, right? It's the same as acting super invested in the anomalies right after Gwen claimed they weren't interesting. It's resisting Gwen and what she wants. Something he usually never does.
This! Is! Important! To! Me! Because I think it shows that Miles has a higher awareness and independence than people give him credit for in these scenes! He's not just running around enthusiastically, not knowing about the lion's den he's walking into. He knows something is up. He knows he's being treated unfairly. And he's not just forgiving it and letting it go--he's addressing it, in his own subtle way.
Anyway, I think that on the Gwen side of things, he's mostly annoyed at her because he feels she's devaluing their close relationship with the way she's acting (because she is). So flirting with Margo is kind of rubbing that exact same behavior back in Gwen's face.
And it works, because he gets a reaction out of Gwen that reinforces that she cares about their relationship--he annoys her. She literally yanks him away from Margo. And based on the way he reacts to that, I think he's pretty happy with that reaction. Because he forced Gwen to acknowledge that she cares about him and values their relationship like he does.
