Cardan in canon ☠️👺👹😈⛓️🖤😉😏
I really enjoyed win or lose, and I love Laurie and Kai’s relationship, and the parallels in their anxiety. Also apparently their ship name is Goldilocks which I think is adorable! Anyway I decided to draw them as young adults!
I want to point out a scene that I'm one 100% sure slip from everyone eyes when reading the cruel prince, so here we go:
When you read the book again after you have already experienced the Horror of the Coronation, you see little details like this one that means the world to me.
The first time I read the book, I was so in shock of modoc action and the death that happened that I didn't pay that much attention to the jude and cardan scene because all my mind was working on was why modoc did what he did and what does it mean for jude.
Any way in this scene jude put her hair down infront of cardan for the first time I think + he was already drunk so when he looked at her he saw a glorious woman that he is desperately need for his desire. So he was going to say, "You look.. magnificent / beautiful / breathtaking," how've he shut up because he can't lie.
And when jude left him to bring a mask for herself, he started to drink more to stop thinking of her. Then my new fav line is "his gaze burning into me. I have no idea what he sees, what he's looking for." You want me to move on from this line from his gaze being so obvious about his obsession for her. I'm sorry, but I could never do that ever.
I don't know what writers thinking when they made Danny end up with Sam.
Seriously, this girl is so toxic that i could write an essay. Except that, she didn't have chemistry with Danny! Not even as friends!
Danny and Valerie, on the other hand, made so much sense. First of all, they actually had chemistry. They were the classic trope enemies to lovers. They had similar lives. They understood each other. And even when they were fighting, they acted like an old married couple. Valerie loved him for him and not the superhero he was like Sam who dumped him when he decided to be normal again.
Writers should show the reaction of Valerie when she learned the truth and they should made them endgame.
Valerie was way better as character. She had a backstory, we saw her difficult life and how she is trying to help her father. She is the villain Danny made and i love that.
Sam "i am different from the other girls" Manson is just being annoying.
Change my mind.
A flash of what looks like Jinx’s face during the scene when Ekko is trying to escape Viktor’s drones
He was thinking of her to give himself strength 😭
I've seen people say that Jessica doesn't care enough about Gwen. That she didn't do anything to help her. But the truth is, Jess was the only parental figure Gwen had. Willingly.
I am not saying that she was like a mother to her, no. That is not true.
But she cared enough to be present in Gwen's life. The only adult who spends time with her. Who checks on her. Who acts a little bit like a parent.
She drew a line.
She wasn't Gwen's mother, but neither just a mentor.
Jess helped her more than any other adult ever did.
And she cares.
And if anyone says that Jess didn't, I'll just let those here. Just in case
"She does care about Gwen"
"Jessica's care and concern about Gwen..."
"Just to make her happy"
Your opinion?
What if Isha is mute because she is gonna die? Jinx won't hear her voice in her head, not only because she never talked but also because Isha met her and loved her for who she is. Not Powder nor Jinx. Just baby blue.
Ekko: "Please, don't blow us both up!"
Jinx:
STOP hating Gwen!
Jeez, we are in the 21st century and you still project misogyny on a minor character who was a product of her environment!
If she was a boy, I bet, everyone would excuse his actions on spot. She was 16 year old brainwashed girl, trained to save the whole world, not only just one person. She was under the influence of Jess and Miguel, who also are superheroes, not normal persons. They were the closest thing she had as family. They taught her that duty comes first.
You blame her for everything, you put her against spiderbite and you claim she's the bad guy here. Where's Miguel's hate?
If you don't like her generally, that's fine, but those whose reasons are that she broke Miles heart and she lied to him, are misogynists. She is her own character and you should see her as that. She isn't surrounded only by Miles'existence. She made mistakes, she realized it, she is on her way to fix everything. She stood up.
And don't go with "Spiderbite helped Miles immediately", because I am gonna crash out.
Margo wasn't at the mercy of Miguel and Jess. She didn't need them. Gwen did. She needed a home, a hideout, because her own father wanted to arrest her or even shoot her. She didn't have anywhere to go. So, of course, Margo would help Miles as fast as she did. She is a good person with nothing holding her back. Gwen has many reasons to think twice before she acts on her own. But she did, and stood up. From the start she told Jess that her gut says that they are wrong, but Jess dismissed her. She was feeling that they were making a mistake and when she fully realized it, she risked it and turned against Miguel.
So, please, before you go hate on Gwen just because she "betrayed" Miles think again what says about you and your critical thought.
And for God's sake, don't compare Gwen with Margo or the other way around. Respect both characters for their own unique traits.
You know that one ship that has the grumpy, pessimistic, traumatized and addictive person who wears 24/7 monotonous colours and then there's the other one who is a walking rainbow, always smiling, optimistic, but also traumatized?
I'll go first
