i think their appeal is their tenderness and the way they're so familiar with each other thanks to their childhood friendship. Idk I don't think we should expect Jurdan 2.0 with everything HB writes. Suren and Oak have their own beauty. They're a great example of friends to lovers done well (at least only in the first book) and with substance.

So I was listening to the MME music video and I noticed this in the extended verse

Sure that’s indirectly calling Jinx Ekko’s goddess but remember- Zaun’s main goddess is Janna, the god of fresh air

The lyrics are implying that Jinx isn’t just Ekko’s goddess but his breath and his salvation.

I've seen people say that Jessica doesn't care enough about Gwen. That she didn't do anything to help her. But the truth is, Jess was the only parental figure Gwen had. Willingly.

I am not saying that she was like a mother to her, no. That is not true.

But she cared enough to be present in Gwen's life. The only adult who spends time with her. Who checks on her. Who acts a little bit like a parent.

She drew a line.

She wasn't Gwen's mother, but neither just a mentor.

Jess helped her more than any other adult ever did.

And she cares.

And if anyone says that Jess didn't, I'll just let those here. Just in case

Ok I'm like grasping at straws here and not getting my hopes up but Kerri Maniscalco mentioning she would like recs for second chance romances gives me a tiny bit of hope that maybe we'll get the Pride and Claudia/Lucia second chance romance that I long for!! To be clear, Jinx didn’t magically go from being schizophrenic and severely mentally unstable to “just a little quirky and chaotic” from season 1 to season 2. She’s just not living with and dependent on someone who is actively trying to make her mental health worse for his personal gain anymore.

Also, adopting a kid and receiving unconditional love again for the first time in almost 10 years probably helped a lot. As did reconnecting with her sister whom she was manipulated into believing was the cause of her problems and pain.

Insane that Jinx showed the “worst” of herself to the child to drive the kid away only for the child to see the humanity in Jinx and risk their life to save her
