Lore time: Marionette Connor is when Pechakeen fully possess him, and controls his body like a literal puppet on strings, now I also have a theory. So the og person/soul is trapped in a fantasy world in their mind but I believe that Pechakeen also makes a new person/soul out of their toxic traits to control the body. When Pechakeen fully possess a person the toxic soul can fight back but with Connor he won't die to him being completely loyal, he'd rather just let Pechakeen get their way.
