I really hate the healthcare system

why is FND still called conversion disorder. I was told by my therapist that I should see my PCP about conversion disorder which could be causing my inability to speak. When I googled "conversion disorder" all of the articles using that name were from like 2020 and before. All the recent articles said FND, and I was like "wtf does FND have to do with conversion disorder" so I googled "is FND a conversion disorder" and I got no clear answer.

I had to go onto discord and ask "hey does anyone know if FND is conversion disorder" and YES IT IS??

Also apparently the whole "mental issues converting into physical aliments" isn't even believed anymore, like FND can just happen.

Anyway I'm still waiting for an appointment with an SLP, the next available neurologist appointment is in October 2025, and my school says they can't give me any actual accommodations if I don't have a diagnosis, which is BULLSHIT because it took me over a year to be diagnosed with chronic pain and yet they still gave me accommodations in school.

I HATE THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM
