We have already seen the new Xperia Z2 Tablet. Sony launched the Xperia D6503 Sirius as Sony Xperia Z2 which was unveiled during MWC on 24 February. It is resistant to dust and water like the Z1.
New handset got a 5.2-inch "LED Live Colour" display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, quad core processor 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801, Adreno 330 and 3GB of RAM, that is 50% more than into Xperia Z1. Given type of processor should be emphasized that 14% increase in productivity guarantees acceleration of graphics to 28% and up to 45% for the camera's sensor compared to 800 Snapdragon. The device also come with 16GB of internal storage. Standard memory can be extended by MicroSD card.
Sony’s flagship smartphone is equipped with a 20.7MP camera with 4K video recording capabilities which includes such features as Creative Effects, AR Effect version 2.0.4 and version 1.1.7 of Background Defocus. 2.1MP Exmor R camera in front. It has a latest version of OS Android KitKat out of the box, a 3200mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11a/ac/b/g/n ; Bluetooth v4.0 and 4G LTE.
Sony Xperia Z2 handset is available now.
Forget about the FullHD once and for all. The time of rough technologies, such as 1920×1080 resolution has already passed just as the black and white displays did. 4K is replacing the old formats, after which we can only expect the 8K picture quality and holograms for all kinds of video streaming.
Hatsune Miku is an outstanding example of the far away future that lies before us, as the presence effect will not be required to be created artificially, as the physical presence will be actual. Speaking about today we can observe that a lot of small video cameras have acquired ultra-high video quality content generating abilities, for example GoPro Hero 4 has already obtained 4K video recording quality with no bug shots or other inaccuracies on the run. But not all of the video output devices can extract the same video quality on the screen. It makes your mind blow when looking at the really expensive segment of TV sets, while the monitors have significantly dropped behind due to shortage of inches through the diagonal. But now it’s over and LG 31MU97 Display Cinema 4K monitor will prove it.
Another raid in 4K sector is made by LG having enough of experience in this sphere. This monitor was spotted at the exhibition in Berlin. Now it is ready to be part of the desktop of each professional designer, cinema fan or gamer, if the PC allows to play at such high resolution. The top-priority issue is the PC power, which outlines the limits of the video picture on the screen. Almost every computer today can produce the picture on the 4K quality display, but playing on high specs requires extra power, which may be solved soon enough, when the cheaper graphics chipsets appear on the market. Anyway you will have the 4K standard at you home sooner or later.
Nowadays everywhere an ultra-high video quality appears and stops to be only a specialized tool for video decoders or graphic editors and more people now can enjoy this all day long. As the American wisdom says, if it's available, why not to have it? The 4K panel with a resolution 4096x2160 pixels will suit everybody, moreover there's an additional advantage comparing to other models on the market - IPS Digital Cinema display, which supports 99.5 percent of the Adobe RGB color space and two different color modes allowing you to compare images in two different color schemes. The starter kit also includes True Color Pro software pack from LG to ease the process of color calibration using the hardware.
LG 31MU97 4К monitor will go on the world tour starting from US, South Korea, Germany, Australia and Great Britain this week and will get to Netherlands, Spain, Poland and Japan only a month later. So there is still time to look around and search for other 4K monitors coming up if you are really interested to get yourself a new acquisition on the desktop. The price tag is still unrevealed. But don't expect the devaluation of the product keeping in mind the variety of the functions and superb video quality on the screen. As there's always a buyer for the realistic quality, not eager to overpay for the abstract stuff.

The company Qualcomm, better known as a manufacturer of mobile processors has launched own SmartWatch. This new product isn't completely autonomous device such as Google Glass or Samsung Galaxy Gear2 because all of the tasks performs the smartphone via Bluetooth, displaying on the screen only the most important information, including (Surprise Surprise!) time.
The highlight of Qualcomm SmartWatch is a private feature SDK and especial screen - Mirasol, whose diagonal - 1.5 inches, resolution - 176x220 pixels (224 ppi). Mirasol technology is similar to E-Ink in their properties. It allows you to see images even in bright sunlight, because the screen has nice colors like IPS. Among the other advantages of the technology Mirasol - constant work and screen with minimal power consumption, so that the clock must live without recharging for 5 days or even a week. So the Toq SmartWatch pointless play off with Samsung GALAXY Gear that die after 24-25 hours.
Largely low power consumption is achieved through Cortex M3 processor with a frequency of 200 MHz to provide own operating system. Another elegant solution is a built-in inductive charging WiPower allowing to charge the device without connecting any cables (Qi standard). In the set will be shipped watch, the headset and the arena which serves as a wireless charging - it's convenient.
Qualcomm Toq SmartWatch provides full compatibility with all Android smartphones since version 4.0.3 and higher. At the moment there is no compatibility with iOS-devices, but will soon appear a mobile client for that platform. Expect some incredible functionality isn't worth it. Reading e-mails, messages, receive incoming calls and hang up, control your music player, view news and weather, stocks, counting steps or calories, various notifications and reminders.
Qualcomm hasn't yet special hopes of Toq, so the device will be released in limited quantities and only in the United States. The new gadget is available exclusively on the official website of the company for $350.
HP has brought Pavilion Mini and Stream Mini desktops at CES 2015
While the Samsung has a Galaxy Gear2, Sony has its own SmartWatch, even Qualcomm goes on this way, LG fans as before has loose wrists. So in the LG Electronics decided that for two hands must produce the two models of the device. SmartWatch G Arch act as a companion for LG smartphones, and other compatible Android devices. G Health - bracelet tracking, fitness / health and more. Both novelties will be shown in late February at the MWC 2014.
Samsung added the next entry to its growing catalog of gadgets with the debut of a new Gear SmartWatch. We have seen the evolution of this from the first Samsung Gear, then crossing the Gear Live and now the world is entering an era of Gear S.
Unlike its predecessors smartwatch gets its own 3G connection. So Gear S doesn't have to be tied to your smartphone evermore, which is quite a significant advantage over Moto 360.
Looking closely, it becomes apparent that the family ties have dominated over the desire to do something new, but these are traditions of Samsung's rectangular watches. Oh no, this is not a caprice of engineers or designers, this form is dictated exclusively by structure of the human body, appropriateness and convenience, that also promotes the transfer to more perfect design of the dial. Concerning the integration of new technologies and techniques the Gear S corresponds to the general spirit of nowadays.
Primarily attracts attention a curved 2-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 360х480 pixels, that elegantly wraps your wrist. Another nice surprise is the height of the side edge, the thickness of which is not comparable to the progenitors. There are also more nonpresumable things to find inside, such as signs of intelligence presented with a dualcore processor 1.0GHz. 512MB of RAM, along with its own 4GB of storage. Among other things there are 2G/3G, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS and USB 2.0.
Samsung says that the Gear S features a protection against dust and water. It will help you stay connected even while taking a shower. It is dubious privilege but it could be checked only in practice. Another interesting fact is that the battery contains 300mAh charge which should last for a few days.
Of course, the Samsung Gear S SmartWatch will also work jointly with your smartphone using all inherent advantages of such a tandem. Bracelet easily copes with the tasks of vibration notifying about the incoming calls and messages, some applications of Health, Running, Voice and regular for these devices apps like News, Weather, gallery, Email, media player, notifications and etc. The great thing is an ability to use the device as a stand-alone handset through its own SIM and headset.
There’s no information about the details of the launch date, although it can be assumed to release in October with a $400 price tag. Samsung does not want and does not like to make new items cheap, becoming a tradition. They make a big step today that undoubtedly is a part of a decisive strategy leading to wide production of flexible displays, which will have a possibility to be locked from both of display edges, not using the bracelet.
