Zotac Launched ZBOX PI320 - An Ultra Small PC With Windows 8.1 Aboard

Zotac launched ZBOX PI320 - an ultra small PC with Windows 8.1 aboard

Zotac has already presented us its new Windows PC in August this year. And now this ultra small form factor PC is available for cooperative usage.

mini pc Zotac

ZBOX PI320, which was created especially for those who disregard the uncomfortably big and buzzing boxes under the table and thousand of mixed wires sticking around. Of course, such enormous machines have their advantages like ability to run the most up-to-date games, which is absolutely impossible for mini PCs, such as Zotac PI320, which should be actually called pico PCs in general.

Tiny ZBOX runs the Windows 8.1 OS, which seems to be physically impossible to be embedded in a pencil-case like box for paper clips, not reminding a computer at all. There's a Quad-Core Bay Trail processor Intel Atom Z3735F, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of  internal storage expandable with micro SDXC memory cards. It might seem to be fantastic, but it's actually quite enough for simple and trivial daily tasks connected with studies and job.

It is compact enough to fit your pocket or bag case and plug it with HDMI to have your own PC at work and be unspotted with such a substitution at your workplace. Using it instead of a notebook is also useful having a free display on the desktop. But there should be one more cable carried through as an electrical source, keeping in mind there is no space for miniature batteries to put in.

ZOTAC series ZBOX PI320 Pico PC communicates through the 3xUSD 2.0 ports, high-speed WiFi 802.11n wireless connection and Ethernet networks. These mini-computers are already available on the official store priced at $199 with a pre-installed software. But if you'd like to use Ubuntu or any other Linux distribution kit of your choice don't hesitate to install it on your own.

Look into the future through Sony Morpheus VR headset

Get ready to immerse into the new reality professionally designed for your home entertainment from Sony. Project Morpheus, which is planned to suit your PS4 device, will let you taste a piece of reality in a virtual world.

new VR headset

The prototype was already introduced to the attendees, who had an opportunity to be the first to try demo games for the headset, such as “Eve: Valkyrie”, the space simulator, Deep Sea simulator and few others. By their words, the feelings are awesome and cannot be compared at all to previous versions of headsets.

If you look at the prototype you can understand that the design is incredibly futuristic and amazing, but nevertheless the creators stipulate that it will modified in order to have even better performance and look. As you could notice the LED glow on the edges of the mask makes a real flash-forward with your mind. It is clearly seen for the moment that the Sony’s creation looks much more completed and unique than the hotfoot Oculus Rift, which is already on sale, by the way.

The display of Project Morpheus is 90 degrees wide comparing to Oculus VR, which has 110 degrees of sight range, but nevertheless when immersing into the game such details have no sense for your peripheral vision, as the first players affirm. Also both devices have 1080p HD quality video, which is by the way claimed to be insignificant for fabulous emotions while playing, though as Oculus has already released, Sony has some time to upgrade their Project’s specs.

As Facebook has started to support Oculus VR, we might see some interesting games made for Windows, but it is not a big secret that Sony is more powerful platform for video games than the social network is. Sony can already boast with more features, such as DualShock and PlayStation move controllers having a better physical performance for the player. Furthermore there’s a speed-racing game, which requires a player only to lie on the bed and nod the head with no other controllers involved. Morpheus also comes with a new 3D audio technology that re-creates stereoscopic sounds in all directions and adapts depending on your head position.

oculus rift dev kit 2

So here’s what we see at the moment: Oculus has a first–go advantage and Sony has an opportunity to outrace the beginner. But thanks to Facebook’s continuous patronage the eventual result may be opposite, if more innovative and interactive games will be created for Oculus VR headset in the nearest future. And for the moment we can see such opportunity in their hands, as the release date of Sony’s device and the price it might sell for is still unknown. But most probably we should aim for 2015!

The smartest camera Samsung NX1, which can compete with the more professional colleagues

A new camera flagship enters the market under the patronage of Samsung from within NX series, which is already known to the public. And now the new NX1 will be equipped with new technological wireless connectivity unlike from the previous model, which was using the cell-based one, never satisfying at practice.

new CMOS camera Samsung NX1

In addition we can see an upgraded outer design giving an owner the same satisfaction, as using a professional camera. But don't let yourself confuse that this one is far from it, as the lens, which is likely to be used for NX1 is 16-50mm f2-2.8 and the new smart implementations in it.

In front was seen a 28.2 MP CMOS sensor with backside illumination created to capture more light, than the older versions could, imbedding a true image into the 4K picture. NX AF System III autofocus detects the quickly moving objects and doesn’t keep its focus on them allowing you to firmly take a shot at any crowded event.

Another Hi-Tech stuff, which could be really helpful in the dark, is an AF Assist Beam that shoots almost an invisible beam of light to lighten the focused subject in the range of 15 meters, so it is useless at far away distances. Samsung pledges a new DRIMe V Image Processor will allow the better reproduction of all your images taken and reducing the extraneous pixilation, which could spoil your best picture of the day.

As already told the device will allow connecting itself wirelessly, using NFC, WiFi, and Bluetooth. You can share your pictures using the NFC compatible devices, an AutoShare function to share it between your Android tablet and smartphone or save only on SD card. You can also use your smartphone to control the camera remotely by pairing the devices together.

The sales should start in October at a price estimated on $1500 level. We will get back with more news, when Samsung itself reveals them.

The second generation of Motorola Moto G slips out

We have heard that Motorola is working on a new version of the Moto X. Furthermore now it looks like the company has dropped out from their pocket a new version of the Moto G with the prefix 2.

new smartphone Motorola Moto G2

There is only a bit of information about the specifications which were disclosed recently. Inside we can expect a similar to the Moto G 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and density of 326 ppi. Under the hood a significant performance boost is expected. Сurrent prototype of the new Motorola Moto G2 is equipped with a quad core processor ARMv7 VFPv4 NEON, 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 305 graphics accelerator chip.

A controversial issue is also camera's armament. The novelty will get a 2MP camera in front and a rear camera 8MP caliber on the backside. The big question is how many SIM cards will support Moto G2. We are inclined to assume that both options make sense. Like its predecessor the new Motorola handset took on board the same Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, port MicroUSB 2.0 and Android 4.4 KitKat as operating system.

As yet there are no details about capacity of the battery or price. The official launch date was appointed to September 4th, but we can presume for sure it is planned for fall, as it will make Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, for example.
