sure, sang woo wasn't a true villain but his situation also wasn't the same as the rest of the people in the game. him going to SNU did in fact give him a higher social status than most people. he was in a high enough position and he committed fraud and embezzlement for which he was facing jail time,, not quite the same as not having enough money to survive.
it might be a commentary on how, even for an average upper class person, it's easier to fall into poverty than become a billionaire (at least that's how i viewed it) but i don't get why people are fighting tooth and nail to defend sang woo when he's clearly, consciously been fucking up from the start and continues to screw people over in the game.
Okay, it makes perfect sense that Disney thought Cruella could be an character to give a sympathetic backstory. Cruella's original story is very much one of capitalism-personal desire out weighing the lives of people deemed insignificant. She doesn't see the puppies as living things but a product. So, yes, I get why Disney execs related to her
you were a full time job I thought I'd never miss
@booksociety ’s Breaking the Curse Event: The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
“It starts as a low croon that rolls in with the tide, a sound so faint it might just be the wind blowing through the clapboard shutters, through the portholes of docked fishing boats, and into narrow cracks along sagging doorways. But after the first night, the harmony of voices become undeniable. An enchanting hymn sailing over the water’s surface, cool and soft and alluring. The Swan sisters have awakened.”

When I listened to “Midnight Rain”, one of the things that came to my head was Mia and Sebastian from ‘La La Land’. When Taylor says: “I guess sometimes we all get just what we wanted and he never thinks of me, except when I’m on Tv/ and I never think of him, except on midnights like this.” The way that they both had a dream, but weren’t able to reach that with each other. Mia and Sebastian got exactly what they wanted, but they didn’t together. So, in a sad way, that’s a victory for their dreams, but a lost to their love. They needed to be apart to get that. What is sadder staying together and despising your life for not reaching your goals or having all they wanted, expect each other? “So I peered through a window, a deep portal time travel, all the love we unravel and the life I gave away.” This describes perfectly the scene of the ‘what-if’. They seemed happy, but all the choices they made to have that reality was completely different from the one in the movie. All the real choices got them where they were, apart. They are where they were supposed to be, but the other isn’t there.
they should have a staring competition
