for the past several years now i've been telling myself that This Is The Year i buckle down and learn how to draw kissies but like fuck it This is the year

stock photos used! these were all partially traced for big/rough shapes and partially referenced; the further along i got, the more i referenced rather than tracing. kisses have been a thorn in my side for ages because i have such a hard time wrapping my head around the combined 3/4-away-from-viewer angle + tilted toward/away-from-viewer angle but even in this handful of sketches i found myself needing to like, figure out the angles less and less as i went. it's almost like intentionally practicing a thing makes you better at it. fucking crazy if true.
